  1. You might want to check out Adams Leather Works. http://www.adamsleatherworks.com/ Exellent products and service. He doesn't charge you until ready to ship, then 2 days later you have it. Be sure to check out his in stock page.
  2. I think his coon hunting story with Marcel is one of his best.
  3. And you could just walk into the store and buy them at 9 or 10 yrs. old. The same for buying a box .22's. No questions asked, of course they knew me and my parents.
  4. I've had one for about 7 yrs. Never had any problems with it. Carry it several times a week (that 8 oz. weight difference vs, steel is significant after 6 or 8 hrs.) I believe I paid about that much new at Benton Shooters. It was my first Kimber. The accuracy impressed me so much I bought a few more Kimbers since. Never had any problems with any of them.
  5. It was changed from Ark. vs. Ala. after the razorbacks great game Sat.
  6. Last week U.T. ticket office had 4,000 that FL had returned from their 8,500 allotment. May be too late now though.
  7. Al Gore was, is, and always will be a left wing loon/complete idiot.
  8. Marion County employee maybe?? That is the best place in the area to get a DL/HCP though. About a 5 min. wait time vs. hours at Bonny Oaks and they were pleasant the last time I was there.
  9. I think we should "invest" another 20 million or so to more thourghly investigate this earth shaking discovery.
  10. About 2 yrs. ago, the state of Georgia had anywhere from 50 to 200 horses at any given time that they were boarding, feeding and eventually auctioning off. Most of them had been abandoned and/or starved by owners who could no longer afford them. They had 2 -4 auctions a year to keep the herd down to a manageable number. The cost for the state to manage this ran into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. My friend at Ga. dept. of agriculture who was involved in this has since retired, so I don't know what the current status is. I imagine Tn. D of A does something similar. You might call them to get their numbers. This is sort of a rambling way of saying that dats82 is right about horses being one of the first expenses cut when times get tough. I'm fairly certain that these horses were not taken care of before the state got them. If they didn't have money for feed, they probably didn't spend money for a farrier either. That being said, good luck if you decide to go through with the school.
  11. I find it hard to believe they would both build in a market the size of Tri-Cities. Maybe Cabela's just wants to test the waters in the S.E., then if it works out, move into larger markets. I would think that a one million MSA would be required to support one, much less 2.

    new 45

Mine does the same. At 6 or 7 yds, about 5 or 6 " low. I've had 3 others shoot mine with the same results. My guess is the short grip (only 2 fingers gripping) causes you to pull it down. For a pocket gun, I don't think it really matters. Other than that, it is really easy and manageable to shoot.
  13. Welcome to the forum and good luck. I'll try to stop by when I'm thru Nashville.
  14. Augusta, GA is kind of a long way from Wisc.

    Trade or no trade

Put me down for a no, unless you don't like the 1911 single action style.
  16. Sportsmans Warehouse - Chattanooga has had at least 6. $519.00. None of them lasted more than a few hours. Mine is surprisingly controlable and accurate with 230 gr hardball. Only shot about 50 rds. so far. Those little 5 round mags are pretty stiff and discourage a lot of playing. Just drop it in front pocket of a pair of cargo shorts, and it disappears. Think I may have to find a kydex pocket holster. Thinking about one from Alabama Holster.
  17. Welcome aboard
  18. About what I've come to expect from the media, sort of like his AK-47 morphing to an AR-15.
  19. Since it happened at Prentice Cooper, I am not the least bit surprised. I haven't been there in about 4 yrs. At that time,it was always an adventure to see if anyone got shot going down range to change targets with the range still hot. Not that most of them knew what "going hot" or "going cold" meant anyway.

    Hernia Surgery

Glad it sounds like the surgery was a success. Do like everyone says and don't try to rush things.
  21. And loaded with Hornady Zombie ammo.
  22. Looks like it has potential. It was interesting to find out that .45-70 is only used in Sharp's rifles.
  23. BLASPHEMY !!!!
  24. Welcome aboard neighbor.
