  1. I sent my SOCOM-16 back to them for extraction issues, despite the gun being 8 years old and I wasn’t the original buyer. They polished the chamber and replaced the extractor in just under a week. I shipped the rifle on a Monday, they had the rifle in their shop Wednesday & shipped it the same day, and I had it back that Friday. They must have test-fired the crap out of it, since the rifle was clean when I sent it, and the rifle was filthy when I got it back. That is customer service.
  2. I wonder if Dale Monroe moved down here with them.
  3. I ordered some specialty rifle ammo a few years ago, and it was delivered by FedEx. I got a text from the seller on the delivery day, asking me how I liked the ammo, but I had not seen it yet. The app was telling him that the package had been delivered, so I went for a walk in the neighborhood. I found my package in the hedges in front of my neighbor’s house, almost as if the driver had thrown my package from a moving truck as he drove by. Almost…
  4. Bellshire Hardware & Guns is the only store a buddy uses for FFL transfers. Edit: Phil is apparently a very good guy to work with there.
  5. I guess he knows now, doesn’t he?
  6. Brandon Lee(son of Bruce Lee) was killed on the set of 1994’s ‘The Crow’ while filming his character’s death scene. They had been using live rounds with the powder dumped out for a close-up shot, in which the actor pulls the trigger several times. The primers pushed two slugs into the barrel, after which a blank round was fired, which drove out the bullets and struck Brandon Lee in the chest.
  7. I don’t like the inability to delete ads. It could be worse; Armslist requires a paid subscription not only to see the ad body, but now you can’t even see the price without logging in. A site with as many data breaches as Armslist has a lot of nerve asking for access to my bank account in order to do business there.
  8. There are several people living in tents off of I-440 & Nolensville Road, but you probably don’t want them as neighbors.
  9. What he said. The salad days of cheap ammo have come and gone, it’s not our fault if you didn’t ‘buy it cheap & stack it deep’ when it was there for the taking. I wish that there were more ‘boxes-o-parts’ to dig through like back in the Old Days, but I guess that’s faded into history, too.
  10. I went yesterday and walked around with my old M1A, but only had a few nibbles. One guy talked up his FN-M4 pistol as a possible trade, said he was going to his car to retrieve it, and vanished.
  11. I’m going Friday with a buddy, maybe try out the Lebanon show on Saturday.
  12. I went there around midday for a few hours, mainly to catch up with old buddies. I tell you what, I think the market for ARs has finally reached saturation point, as they aren’t moving much at any price. I saw a very nice Detonics Combat Master tucked away on someone’s table, and it was about the most interesting thing there beside my AR-180 that I carried around.
  13. There is an RK show in Lebanon this weekend at the expo center. That’s a good venue for a gun show, and I hope to be there Saturday.
  14. I might swim out to Dickson from west Nashville today or tomorrow. It’s raining like hell right now.
  15. Anyone go to the 'Boro show today? Was it worth the drive?
  16. RK is having a show in Murfreesboro this weekend instead of Lebanon. I wonder what caused the change in venue? The ‘Boro expo center is a shadow of the facility in Lebanon, with less parking, less capacity inside, and a pitiful air conditioning system. I’ll probably go on Saturday, anyway.
  17. Anybody make it to the gun show today? Would it be worth it to go tomorrow? Edit: Just checked the weather and road conditions. Never mind, I’ll go to the next one
  18. I’m probably going to go despite the high likelihood that I won’t find a buyer for my rifle. AKs are ridiculously-priced but too many people remember the Chinese ones as being $200 rifles. It’s good exercise for my legs, immune system, and patience to get out & about, so I’ll probably go anyway.
  19. If the vendor is a ‘personal collection/cash only’ type of seller, then the cash-only sale is perfectly legal. The people from Williamson county may have dressed differently than you, but how did you come to the conclusion that they are liberals?
  20. I’m thinking about driving up from Nashville today. And changed my mind. I’ll hit the Lebanon show in a few weeks.
  21. I turned around and got back on 40 because that’s where the backup started. This was around 10am, but I may go back tomorrow and try again.
