I have a set of those on my RIA 1911. Feel good in the hand and even better in the wallet.
  2. Very proud!! One of those things she knows better. I wonder if going to the school will make it harder on her. I've tried to figure out what kinda guy the principle is. Might have a one on one with him. I did a lil curb work for the school.
  3. I was a jewler for many years and sold my repair bench a couple years ago. That would have been perfect. But this will do fine to when I get it set up.
  4. All mine are mounted on the ceiling with covers. First pic bad lighting with a cell phone.
  5. She wants that pink .22 really bd. She has a birthday coming up in a couple months. My wife doesn't shoot so I told her that when my lil one starts shooting that she can defend the homestead when I'm gone. Not saying mama can't shoot just not interested in it YET!!! Just feels good when your lil one wants you to teach them something these days. Especially when its a fun subject you both can do together.
  6. My RIA shoots awesome. If it was me and price is all that mattered I would go with the RIA and spend the other 120$ on ammo and holster. Either way is a win win in my book. Is the RIA standard or the tactical?
  7. Thanks, The teacher is what they call a guidance teacher over the whole school. She definitly doesn't have the guidance that I want me child to follow. That should be up to me. Should have heard the crap coming home from school during the election. I would like to catch her out with my lil girl and OC. Maybe she would drop dead in the parking lot.(problem solved)
  8. I'm just wondering if she was writing this down. My lil one said she asked each kid by name and had a book in her hands. I might have to stop in sometime. This is not the first time she has gone and asked some weird questions.
  9. My lil girl is 6years old and has one of the most tree huggin liberal guidance teachers there is. She was talking about how guns were bad and the whole liberal rant. Then the teacher went around the room and asked each kid if there were guns in the house. Told the kids they needed to tell their parents how bad they where and shouldn't be in the house. When asked my lil girl said my daddy has a ton of guns and bullets.. Sadi her teacher looked mad and asked her if she has access to them which she replied my daddy has taught me about guns and they are locked up out of reach and when I'm older he is going to teach me to shoot and buy me a pink gun. I really would love to had seen her face after that. I'll probably get a visit from DHS over that!
  10. I've been draggin' this table every where I move. I guess for a good reason. Had it just going to waste for many years.
  11. Heres one with the new wood and painted
  12. It was an old tool table in my shed. I added another top and trim. Then painted. I am going to put a piece of glass or plex on top so I can keep my data sheets underneath. Its not a fancy bench but it will do for now. Just got to mount a couple things the paint was still tacky.
  13. Heard it on the radio this morning. I would say that would never run on TV.
  14. I need to get out this week and empty some brass to reload. Almost have to bench finished.
  15. I think I have located a set of dies for .40 myself. Just need those small rifle primers. Just about set up to go. Can't wait to join the reloaders club(is there such a thing?)
  16. Hoselton has been promising that range for awhile. The weather has been messing them up. Can't wait they are just 3miles from the house. They are going to have a pistol, rifle and 300meter range. Thats what I've been told anyway. Great bunch of guys.
  17. I've bought both ways. One place liscense didn't match went through and another matched the liscense and i didn't live there.
  18. Thanks. I'm almost set up. I need a .40 cal set of dies and small rifle primers. Someone gave me a RCBS single stage kit(brand new) Trying to get the last steps. Also trying to get mama to let me build me a reloader corner in the house instead of the garage.
  19. Powdered eggs, flour, powdewr milk and bacon in a can. Well balanced breakfast.
  20. I found a place online today that wanted 47.50 a 1k box. Had to buy 5k big hazmat and shipping. It was crazy money. Said he had a truck from CCI due today or tomorrow. Don't know if I believe that. I think it was the ol money first you wait (maybe forever). No thanks Went to Reloader Bench today to pick up a few things. They did have some .223 brass already loaded with primers. A lil steep price for my taste. 29.00$ per 100
  21. I have favored .40's and had one under shot .45. I know have 3 and love them. Might be phasing some more .40's out for them soon
  22. Maybe that should be a new category. Things you want to give away. I'll go on the $1,000 thread myself. I didn't realize what it really took to get started. By the time I read my new book I'll hopefully have gotten everything I need to get started. Without what I got I would have never been able to get started for the money I had set aside. I still need a few things. Should be a great setup for the amount I'll reload at first. I can't wait to get started. I did buy some primers today since they are hard to find.
  23. There is a member that has gone way above and beyond. They will remain anonymous. They have given me a RCBS reloading single stage kit. With this I can take my limited funds and start learning to reload. I stopped by the reloaders bench and bought a couple extra things. Hopefully I can start reading and learning the process. I feel like a lil kid at x-mas. I hope to be able to pass it along one day myself.
