I've been using it for a couple years now. Works incredibly well. We were sent some back in 2012 to try out and I've been hooked on it ever since. It stays wet even when running a can and makes cleanup a breeze. What's not to like?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do you use a quick detach optic mount?
GhostRecon21 replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
LaRue or Bobro. ADM does make some nice mounts as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Throw a set of offset irons on the gun and rock it. If your going to keep the optic on there 24-7, you might as well learn to work around it when needed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Source locally for AR Charging handles?
GhostRecon21 replied to Tobashadow's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
TAC in Knoxville had a couple BCM Gunfighter Mod 4's on the wall the last time I was in there. Quite a step up from the standard GI model and they aren't crazy expensive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Sounds like Beretta is listening this time around....Ernest Langdon posted this about the new A3. "So I have been involved in this project for quite some time. A couple of key points that you all should know. 1. It will come with a convertible safety lever. Meaning you will be able to convert it to a G. Think PX4 or 90-Two. 2. As of now it will not have the internal frame buffer like the 92A1. 3. It will have an over mold type back strap that will mimic the standard Beretta frame size. 4. It will have checkering on the frame and beveled mag well like the M9A1. 5. Extended Mag button. There are some other details but I think this is the important stuff that you guys wanted to know. Cheers, Ernest" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Because the placement of the safety allows the shooter to inadvertently put the gun on safe when clearing a malfunction or any other time the slide is racked. Having a dead trigger when you come up off a clearance or reload can be quite the eye opening experience.... This is yet another reason most of the SOF units choose not to run the M9 when their command allows it. Beretta needs to only offer the G model and be done with the safety for good. It simply isn't needed on a DA/SA gun. The new M9A3 offers some nice upgrades and big ARMY would be crazy not to make the switch if they indeed decide to stick with the Beretta platform. I guess I'm in the minority here. Costs me $10 and 5mins of my time to fill out the 4473. By the time they've entered in the info for the transfer the approval comes back. I've never used a dealer where they didn't use the online system. It amazes me shops still use the call in method at all. I don't think I've ever had an approval that took more than 2-3mins to get back. Seems like a simple painless process in my eyes. What's annoying to me is the transfer fees some dealers charge for the 5mins of their time I'm taking up picking up my purchase. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have run across a local veteran owned Kydex shop that is putting out some of the nicest holsters I've seen. Their IWB holster has replaced my use of the INCOG and even my SuperTuck. It is very comfortable and and the ease on taking it on and off won me over. I have one of their OWB's on order and should have it in a couple days. I saw one at the shop and was extremely impressed. Fit and finish were top notch and even had me considering replacing my beloved RCS Phantom's. They also have a ton of different Kydex color and pattern options to choose from. If any of you guys are already running their product let me know what you think of it. The owner said they are expanding into the competition market as well. Trying to fill a void on some products Bladetech and a couple others aren't meeting. Your first step should be to setup an NFA Trust. Once your lawyer has that established you can start the E-File process for your lower and can. That will greatly expedite your process with the ATF. E-File form 1's are coming back in under a month these days. They are saying the form 4's should be back up and running soon. http://www.silencershop.com They are a great vender to use and can walk you through the entire process for your Form 4. I've been using my IWB from Prepared Solutions for a month or so now. It has replaced my Crossbreed for EDC use. It's comfortable and light weight. Combine those with the ease of taking it on and off and I've been really impressed with the holster. Another thing that I really liked about them is that you can pick your own colors and or design. They have more options than any other Kydex shop that I've run across. They are a veteran owned business and do top quality work. With them being local to Knoxville it was easy to run by and pick up my order and avoid shipping too! If any of you guys are looking at Kydex options, I would highly recommend them. Bucket of .223 @ Acadamy in Knoxville
GhostRecon21 replied to A.J. Holst's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
That's just not worth it. You can find 5.56/.223 online for under $0.30 a round all day long. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
On a quality optic you will have no issue with this. Again, you get what you pay for in optics. The SPARC you are looking at is a great entry level optic. You won't have any issues picking up the dot with it. I'm an AimPoint guy, but I have a SPARC mounted on my 15-22 and I've been very impressed with it for the money.

When shooting with both eyes open, the tube should disappear from your vision. Just the target with a floating dot on it. The 2MOA dot is very nice once you get out past 200m.

Glock Extended Slide Release
GhostRecon21 replied to TNMTBik3r's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Pick up the Vickers/Tango down slide stop. It has a much better feel to it compared to the factory extended option. Larry is an old 1911 guy and designed the part to have the shooter drop the slide with the support hand thumb like a 1911. Of course it can be operated with the strong hand thumb as well for those that prefer that method. -
Prepared Solutions in Knoxville is making some outstanding Kydex options these days. Excellent customer service and the quality is top notch https://m.facebook.com/preparedsolutions

$450 for civilian pricing from Grant. Mil/LE pricing is $398. http://www.gandrtactical.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=209300 I typically see M&P's going for $425-450 online depending on inventory levels. I'll dig around later and see if I can find one for you closer to that $425 mark.

New M&P40's can be had for less than $100 more than buds is charging for the police trade-ins. I can't imagine buying one of them when I could get all the new goodies S&W has changed on the M&P lineup in the past year for less than $100 more. In the .40 I will take an M&P over a G22 any day. That's coming from a huge Glock guy....
