  1. Sorry, He does not need to sit in prison for the rest of his life. It is very clear beyond doubt he is guilty of a horrific crime. Take him out back and shoot him! That is part of the problem with these events that they are sent to prison for life. That is no longer the deterrent it used to be. Time to take away the privileges in jail and make it a bad place to go again! Not to mention I am tired of paying to keep people in prison for life that have no chance of ever returning to society.
  2. All the math I need is the price compared to what I can build with much better accuracy even if it is a few inches longer! I did enjoy seeing the discussion on MOA though. It is something m,ost people do not understand as it is not something most talk about too often in dad to son type conversations. Most of us just show the kids the target and explain the group size in inches or fractions of. To most folks MOA is something for engineering types! And now it is clear as mud! LOL
  3. I see Giffords took no time to start yapping about more gun control. No idea what the reasons were yet or even waiting for information just start with the political BS. Things like this are what cause more and more hatred in the country. Rhetoric that is absolutely unneeded and uncalled for.
  4. I would be in for hats or shirts. Always a good thing to have around.
  5. What the hell is wrong with the parents. Everytime this happens it seems there are parents that are lacking. It is part of the puzzle that keeps showing up. Not the entire puzzle but an important piece. Sad start for sure.
  6. I saw that this morning and had the same thought. Really, Morgan Freeman! I always thought better of him. No matter as it is Hollyweird and I pay them no mind 99.5% of the time. The other .5% is for the occasional comment that is not completeley BSC.
  7. Wow, that was a rabbit hole. Have to admit I figured it for something else or a joke. Straight rifling was suggested but I did not see that as an option in reality. This will not be on my list anytime soon! Even if you do not want the stamp cost a 16" carbine is really not that much longer and infinitely more useful than this one with no real range to it. Guess I will not being stock there after all. LOL Now, who owes who a beer?
  8. Saw one couple weeks ago in a small shop next to the post office in little Crab Orchard. I was meeting a member there and stumbled on the shop. They are still getting ready but he showed it to me when he saw I liked Sigs. Nice. A little spendy but nice.
  9. Not so fast. The fact that you are offended by my being offended of your offensiveness just means one of us needs right guard! Now there is a memory
  10. I am offended by your being offended.
  11. That does lead to a good nights sleep. Worked for me yesterday I processed a lot of ammo and slept great last night. Hell, I smiled at someone this morning before I had my second pot of coffee!
  12. I would be in big trouble if i had shirts made for some of my thoughts! I already have the obvious ones but it would be a lot of fun to get some made for when I have to venture into certain areas. Like college areas! I would hate to see mass snowflake melting.
  13. Is it going to be funny when they reveal it and it is nothing! They laugh and point and said look, we got everyone talking about nothing. Speculation is rampant on this one and as usual we will not really know until they tell us. I have seen a lot of heated arguments over this. Some get their nose out of joint when another disgrees with their spec on what makes it legal. I have stayed out of this one even though I have my own opinion. It has raised some interesting technical discussions though. I really like how some have decreed that this is the begining of the end of NFA rules. (I do personally hope so though) How about we do a poll. Those that get it wrong have to buy a beer for those that got it right. Friendly of course!
  14. A good point! But most folks these days have not heard of Bo! More or less know his songs. "I think some people just feel like they are either obligated or entitled to stick their nose in where it doesn't belong." That is why I am against most religions. Believe what you want but keep it to yourself! If I politely decline your offer to preach to me then I think you should respect my wish. Too many people these days think they do not have to respect anyone's personal beliefs. Most think you have to respect theirs but they do not have to reciprocate. Hmmm to me that sounds like bad parenting or just a complete loss of realilty.
  15. I think avoiding all of the offeneded criteria is tough these days! I am not black, LGBTQABCD...Z, Latino, Catholic, Islamic, immigrant, or most other categories. I am an old, grumpy, veteran though which I guess fits somewhere. I am working on my personal failures, numerous I am sure but the worse are: not being tolerant of stupid!, no sympathy for easily offended folk, not caring what other religions think, and the biggest failure personally is being a passionately patriotic veteran. Now if any of those offend you I suggest you reread the first failure I listed. Love the USA or get out! Pretty simple. That and leave me and mine alone and I will leave you and yours alone. As long as whatever we do does not interfere with the rights of the other then have at it! You see, that is where most of the over sensistivity is coming from, minding others business! If everyone would get back to minding their own it would ease up. I guess we have the internet to thank for that one!
  16. At that price point it is meant more of a fun plinker I am sure. If you want a gun that you can trust you better plan on spending a little more and it will have the features you want for backup sights. Proper tool for the job and all that! As far as price goes I am sure it would be a good little truck gun or cabin gun. Not out a bunch if someone steals it, and it wil liklely go bang and do what I need when I need it.
  17. Bwahahahs. Welcome to my Life. It all starts in November, Thanksgiving sister Dec 8th, Christmas, brothers both in January, mine February, other sister in February, wife and daughter week apart in March son in april other one in May. Throw in our anniversary in May, mother's day and Easter in there and yeah, I feel your pain.
  18. I get over there firly often so feel free to ask. My schedule varies but I wind up over there at least once every 2 weeks. I do get to Murfreesboro more often as well.
  19. I am heading over tomorrow but I am over in Pikeville.
  20. Don't blow my cover! She reads the forum also!
  21. Yeah, I decided when we got married to go the other way with a 100% honesty policy. She knows everything I buy and I know everything she buys. Except the odd pet she sneaks in once in a while. Of course I have seen lots of ways work with spouses. I kid a lot but after 35 years she and I still get along. Not sure why though.
  22. Those of that have been married for more than 3 decades. We have learned that a want must be described as a need in order to remain sleeping indoors! All kidding aside very few people "Need" more than one gun! The rest are wants based of course on what you "Need" the first one for.
