  1. Not trying to say that anyone's life path is flawed or wrong, but this issue just isn't as cut and dry as we want it to be.
  2. But, there is nothing wrong with wanting to pursue a career based on dream instead of practicality. Not everyone wants to live to pay bills and then eventually die with nothing more than a great credit score and a boring life to show for it. it may not be boring for them, but to an artistic person it is the equivalent of torture working a 9-5 taking the "safe" route. F that. I think it is a huge problem to kill dreams and kill creativity just because it might be hard to survive financially. Look at some of the greatest things people have accomplished and the incredible amount of risk it involved...
  3. I'm 27. Not all schools are created equal/cost the same. Going to the school that I did awarded me with better networking opportunities and allowed me to study with the BEST of the best in my field, but because of this it was a bit of a pipe dream for paying off those loans short term in my line of work. Should've been an attorney like my twin, but he doesn't get to do half of the cool stuff I do.. :) Good on you for working hard and being debt free, but not every job or dream is the same.
  4. Yep, super easy fix. Takes no time at all.
  5. It's not that cut and dry in my opinion. These companies are financially ruining young people that want to pursue a quality higher education. It's pure greed in exchange for a dream. It's a different climate. It isn't "back in the day" when you could pay for schooling with a spare job. I regret going to college because of the debt. It is really s*itty to say that, and everyone in my generation that isn't blessed with wealthy parents feel the same.
  6. As a native Mississippian, this annoys me. It's just a flag.
  7. You guys are awesome!! Thank you all for your advice! I'm going over there for work.. I wish I could go during Octoberfest!
  8. This will be the longest flight I've ever been on.. Around 8 hours or so not including the initial connecting flight to Toronto. We're flying into Zurich, Switzerland then traveling to Paris, France and Munich, Germany. Any advice from my well traveled friends here? I'm so excited!
  9. Lethal Weapon and Die Hard is the reason I originally bought a 92.
  10. Not sure, imported by Century. It's such a pain to clean corrosive.. At least, in my mind.
  11. The guy was young and had no idea. He even went in the back to ask someone and they "confirmed" steel core. It was a pick your battles moment.
  12. They wouldn't let me shoot Tula 7.62x39 in there saying it had steel core.. They'd only let me shoot their surplus corrosive shit.
  13. Women don't have to work at Hooters or any other job that objectifies them. One woman's objectification is another's empowerment. I've known strippers that get off on the power over men and the money. This has nothing to do with any particular time period where family was more or less important(Comm's post), it appeals to man's sexual appetite and that is as old as the dirt we walk on... It's not like in the 20s guys weren't looking at smut and cheating on their wives.
  14. I didn't know that a disdain for .40 SW also came with a disdain for looking at boobs. It's all starting to come together now...
  15. Oh no, where else am I gonna spend $600 on a used Glock?
  16. This Kimber is stupid. I'll keep my Ruger... 900 bucks. Sheesh.
  17. AKs of all types seem to be steadily rising in price.
  18. I liked her first release a lot, and then Rick Rubin threw his creative spin on the second release and made it a masterpiece, but if I hear "Hello..." one more time I'm gonna..
