It's part of my work. Besides that amp being vintage with boutique speakers, it's also seen a lot of studio and road time. It's been on a lot of records, lots of sentimental value. Thanks everyone. I'm so pissed I can't sleep. I've just been laying here stewing in it. I've got a gig downtown later today.. Thankfully I've got a lot of friends that will loan me some gear so I can work. Luckily the son of a bitch left my pedal board alone, which has more money in it than the amp does.

I got home from a 12 hour day of playing music and grabbed my three guitars and food I just bought and went inside with the intention of grabbing my amplifier after I was done eating. Of course I passed out from lack of sleep and the long work day and woke up to my elderly neighbor banging on my door yelling my name. Some guy had been walking up and down the street and must have been looking for an opportunity to break into a car. He broke in, grabbed my 1974 Fender Vibrolux with newly installed Warehouse Speakers as well as my hidden backup amp in my trunk, a Roland Blues Cube. He took off running into the street parallel to ours which dead ends and disappeared. My neighbor had just seen him and then I took off in my car to find him to no avail. The fucker must live right behind me. It's my fault. I never leave my stuff in my car. It was a lapse of judgement. Just filed a police report with a great police officer working over his shift change to come help me out. He was an incredibly sweet LEO. I'm so pissed! At both myself and the situation.

Besides, why are you sorry? I support everyone's gun buying choices even if I disagree with them. There are a lot of people that speak very favorably of the Redhawk, and due to the heavier construction one would think they handle the recoil better. Although, I suppose grips have a lot to do with it. Even hardcore Smith guys like Hickok45 speak favorably of the Redhawk.

I'm not worried about it. I'll buy a 29 in the future. I'm building my collection, it's no race in my mind.

Pulled the trigger on a Redhawk at Bud's. I'll get a 29 later if I still have an itch for a 44.

Gotta be honest, I will not drop a dime on a 1911 until they can get with the times and come fully loaded with the Grip Zone and a tac rail. In all seriousness, different strokes for different folks. People get pretty heated about 1911 talk, though. :lol:

I'm kinda set on a DA/SA.. Although I admire SA revolvers, I'd like to carry it and shoot double action if I need to.

There's a used 29-3 at Nash Armory but they want $900. Seems like a lot for one of the lesser desirable generations. But, I Iike the Redhawk in part because it's NOT a 29. When I have the money to blow on a 29 that I won't shoot much then I will get one. Til then, I bet the Redhawk can take a beating.

To find a 44 magnum in stores. I'd like to compare barrel lengths in Redhawks and compare the Smith 29 to the Ruger, but it seems like no one has these in stock. I'm probably going to just get the 7.5 inch Redhawk as it seems to make the most sense. Any ideas on where I can find these hand cannons so I don't have to buy from Buds?

I love Glocks and Berettas, but my 92 is my baby and my mostly every day carry. I pocket carry sometimes. I've put thousands of rounds through my 92 without a single problem. Berettas like running wet, so keep 'er lubed. Besides, it's got such a history both in Military and in Hollywood.
