I think all the hate pit bulls get is pretty lame. I know one of the posters is a cop, but honestly you're not gonna get a call to a house about a friendly pit bull that snuggled his human. You're only going to get the bad calls. Of course it's going to taint your perception.

Be wary of all animals, including humans. Any animal human or otherwise can "turn" on you.

I hate to reveal too much personal information about myself on these kinds of sites, but I will say that I've got a chihuahua mix that is easily one of the most loved dogs in Nashville. I've had him for 7 years or so. He's got 3 legs and is quite possibly the friendliest dog you will ever meet. He was a street dog for about a year and a half of his life and was found hit by a car. He had heart worms and didn't have a chance in hell of making it out of the operating room, but they took a chance and nursed him back to life. I picked up the bill for the treatment($1,000 is a lot when I was in college). The only marketable skill I have besides my job in music is working with animals, something I've done my entire life from volunteering as a kid at humane society shelters all the way up to my Nashville beginnings working at grooming facilities to make ends meet while building my music career. Dogs, very much like people, tend to surprise by destroying the stereotypes that define them.

I love pit bulls. I think that they are a breed that is unfortunately surrounded with lots of misinformation and poor handling. Some of that misinformation is in this thread.

I played a NYE party at a country club in Arkansas last night. It was... Fascinating.

A band I work with was hired to play at the party after the game for The Notre Dame staff, players, and families at Gaylord Opryland. One of the coaches got up and sang "Turn the Page" with us. Haha.

This is not a universal Catholic belief.. At least not anymore. Funeral masses are still said for suicide deaths.

Yup, I've been bedridden since Christmas Eve as I had to travel all the way from Ohio from a gig I was on to the Gulf Coast on Christmas Eve. My temp was so high I swear I thought we were in the civil war. Doc thinks it is flu plus secondary infection. The good news is that I may have finally dropped my 12 year smoking addiction.

Don't you love it when people try to make their own adjustments? I read a story once where a guy's girlfriend made all the saddles flush with each other and told her boyfriend, "I noticed these were all crooked so I fixed it!" I know a fair amount of stuff about fixing my own guitars, but there's a drop in skill level where I focus more on playing and less on trying to be a luthier.

I've been thinking about getting one of these and getting it cerakoted, or maybe one of the other police trade ins at buds. My question is, can you purchase grips for this gun? I've looked everywhere online and can't find them.

I am sporadically finding chicken wings in my backyard, and my rescue dog, although well trained in most areas, is poorly trained with eating shit he finds in the backyard. He usually drops things when I tell him to but will not drop these damn wings. Bones can be harmful to dogs, though and I know that. This has been happening on and off for 6 months. Is it possible someone is being malicious and throwing them in my backyard to try and harm my dog? Or am I just being paranoid? How do I approach my neighbors in a sensitive way about not throwing their damn used wings in my backyard? I say sensitive, because there is a stereotype with black people and eating wings. I hate political correctness.
