  1. Jesus, guys. Sounds like we need a TGO dinner pot luck. Don't worry, I'll get the strippers.
  2. It's been a busy evening, so I'm gonna slam a few tomato sandwiches. A childhood favorite. Mornings for me aren't usually busy, so my days off from the gym I'll cook a hearty breakfast. Lunch and dinner are meals eaten while I'm working typically,.. And often it consists of small things.. Protein shake or bar, turkey jerky, fruit. Whatever I can fit in my guitar bag.
  3. I picked up a transfer at Bellshire a few months ago and talked to them for an hour. Great conversation and good prices.
  4. I just finished the book. I bought it after I saw the movie. The book was a fascinating insight into the mind of a soldier. But, some things make me feel strange. He repeatedly referred to Seals as silent warriors, but the book had a tinge of arrogance laced through it all. Repeatedly referring to yourself as a "silent warrior" after bragging about war stories felt odd. Also, some of the lies told by Kyle seemed to have been more for dramatic effect and/or increasing book sales. Obviously, this is not an uncommon practice, but something about it doesn't sit well. A very good friend of mine who recently retired from the Navy told me that similar feelings are being expressed by those who served with him. I am not trying to talk bad about a man that served our country and obviously was a very talented sniper, but I have a hard time turning off the critical part of my mind when reading stories about people. Occasionally my B/Sometor will go off when reading stories about him or written by him. Any thoughts?
  5. As convenient as Spotify and Pandora are, it's a shame how little an artist or writer is paid per play. What a sad state the music business is in.
  6. Someone posted this comment in English.. Makes sense to me.. " Sound travels at about 738 miles an hours. The sound of the blast from this explosion hits the camera within a second after the flash, suggesting that he is very close to a small explosion. The shockwave from a nuke travels at about 600 miles an hour. The shockwave in this video hits the camera after about 16 seconds. Suggesting that he is within 3 miles of the "nuke." He would have been disintegrated. Sorry, it's not a nuclear explosion."
  7. I just recently quit smoking two weeks ago but haven't been able to drop dip.. I might start vaping. I have no idea where to start.
  8. To add to the bunch of positive comments: I used it and it performed well.
  9. I really appreciate the humanity you put into your post. I know too many "hunters" that love "goin' killlin" but lack the respect and understanding that a life is being taken to put food on the table. That is something I was taught by my Father and is something I will never forget. It's an important lesson in life and death, especially for a child.
  10. I also carry a 92. I often pocket carry an LCP as a second gun along with the 92. I often carry my Ruger LCRx IWB with the LCP in the pocket too.
  11. Yep, I was already teetering on the border of paranoia and preparedness, but now I'm getting my finances in order to stockpile some ammunition and get a few more survival weapons. Also, some MREs and water. Also good in case another hurricane hits the Gulf Coast and my family down there needs supplies.
  12. Just read One Second After because of you guys.. And holy cow.. What a great book!
  13. God speed! Life is an adventure and this is just another part of it. Keep us updated on how you're feeling after your surgery.
  14. More and more people are giving Comcast the finger. Thank God. They are evil. If they aren't feeling the pain from it it, when will they and how will they adapt? The way media is viewed has been changing at an exponential rate since YouTube came about.
  15. How does auditory exclusion work? What is the science behind it? Also, what is the potential of it working on nagging girlfriends? :D But, seriously.. This is fascinating. The adrenaline dump causes there to be no damage?
  16. I laugh when I see people in movies shooting inside of cars and elevators and acting like their ears don't feel like they're going to fall off. Is adrenaline a factor in this in real life? Does anybody here LE or otherwise have experience with this? I'm just curious.
  17. Yep 5-0 app. Works like a charm and you can listen to streams from everywhere in the country.
  18. Saw that on CNN earlier. CNN was spinning it like these people were dangerous and trying to get on a plane with guns. I almost walked into a courthouse with a gun.. Why? Because I carry it so much it is a natural part of me. People forget.
  19. Amen. I've learned so much from all of you. Thanks, David.
  20. I think it's great. People carrying what they want to carry. I think that a lot of people can be really judgmental of other gun carriers. We're all on the same team, I think. :)
  21. It's easy to hate all Muslims based on the radicals, but just like every Priest isn't a pedophile or homosexual, not every Muslim is an extremist. I've known some Muslims in my life. I have read the Quran. It's full of a ton bizarre shit just like the Christian bible. My Muslim friends were some of the most devout and peace loving people you could imagine.
  22. Prayers sent, friend, take care of yourself.
