Got a couple I cast that are in the 1/2cent range. I've got we'll over $1k in molds though. Cost is only a partial factor, availability was the big one during the last drought of supplies. On average, I'd say each bullet w/o counting electricity, powdercoating, molds and time is in the actual $0.03 range. Savinsg are more prevalent on larger or odd calibers. 45acp, 300blk subssonic, 50beowulf really save over plated or jacketed. If times get tough I keep a stockpile of factory bullets.

QD type suppressors for 9mm AR
Jct1911 replied to Darnluck's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Add Griffin Armament to the list, they actually sell the lug barrel adapter also. -
Jerry Bissell, retired, his nephew took over the business, do some googling and you'll see tons of good stuff about Bissell and armour belts. I have 2 from Jerry's days and 1 from Armour, zero change in quality. https://www.armourbelts.com

Bullseye. Has best recoil impulse IMO.

Don't take this the wrong way, but other than physical/aesthetic stuff, what will physical inspection do for you? Order from a reputable online dealer, tax would be more than shipping if bought local. I recommend Palmetto State Armory. Stay away from their "Ptac" branded stuff, I'd go with their premium line. Set a budget, PSA can probably have you set up for $400 roughly. This one has FN made cold hammer forged barrel. Add one of their BCG and charging handles. http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-16-chf-mid-length-premium-upper-without-bcg-or-charging-handle.html

45ACP cases with large and small primer pockets
Jct1911 replied to tercel89's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Zero difference other than primer size. Load them up. -
Most the manufacturer printed ones will be for their bullets. The Lyman 49 has a good amount of data. In all honesty the Lee 2nd does too. As above though, I've got Sierra and nosler too. Accurate powders and alliant have decent online load database. Alliant will send you a hard copy for free.

Colt, if you can swing the cash.

Lots of people do the 50/50 funds to keep things on an even keel. Buyer gives you 50% before and 50% when stamp arrives and item is getting picked up.

New For 2016: Brownells’ Own AR-15/M16A1 Receivers
Jct1911 replied to ironsniper1's topic in General Chat
Brownells alluded to help from Nodak Spud with the new retro lower on another forum. Prices about the same as Nodak or McKay, less wait though :). I plan to do a late 60's build soon. Just wish they'd have gone grey phosphate instead of black on the lowers. -
I like a fixed 4x for the 30-30. I use an older (brass and steel)weaver on mine. With the leverloution stuff, I was able to stretch my effective range by about 50yds. As above I have a 2-7 red field revolution on a different gun, great scope for the money.

I wish I would have known ammo was gonna rise as much as it has and that at any given time it could completely be sold out everywhere. As above, buy a bunch of decent mags(D&H, Magpul, lancer). Buy a bunch of ammo. Learn to reload if you don't already, major accuracy gains to be had in every AR I own with tuned loads.

A gentleman on Arf.com built an 22TCM AR using Tok mags, he got 3k fps.
-
Confirmed, A5 cut down. Fits real nice under a trench coat....
-
This is where the the 22TCM9R comes into play. RIA is making glock replacement uppers. 1900fps from 5" barrel.

He's also a stand up guy in person. I met him at my cousin's rehearsal dinner for her wedding about 9yrs ago. She married his college roommate who he is still friends with.

Umm....ambiguous? Good luck getting any 1911 manufacturer to tell you where their forgings are from or where the steel originated. Fact, springfields are now made in the USA. Ruger is good at stainless casting, they have made frames and parts for other manufacturers for years. Most those manufacturers don't divulge they are cast by Ruger.
-
Springer is forged frame, Ruger is cast. Not saying one is better, just saying. I've put every one of the Rugers I've handled back in the case. I've got springers, never been disappointed. I usually recommend the Loaded as a 1st 1911 to anybody, or the range officer.

Mine is more of a do all rifle can all cones, will use Griffin .30 cal Taper mounts bored to size. Might have to make a taper to LiD adapter. I also have a 9mm pistol(all k's) only approval due up in 2-3wks that will direct mount to the LID. Both will be TI. -
