  1. West side. I guess I need to print out their policy or just have a copy of the FFL. What utter BS.
  2. Went to ship a gun at UPS main hub off Briley PKY and I first got the old you need to have a copy of the persons FFL and then it eroded into the gun can only be shipped from FFL to FFL. Had to wait 40 mins for the security guy to come and then had to call my smith and my guy rattled off his FFL number and then they shipped it. Like they even knew it was a valid FFL number. What a joke. They don't even know their own policy. I have shipped guns from there a bunch of times and this is the first round of BS from UPS. I have experienced the same from Fed-Ex a bunch of times.
  3. I have to take issue with the always statement. But you do in the beginning (a great way to cure flinch and develop muscle memory) or always when shooting groups/ultimate accuracy. Rob Leatham for example is one of the few who slaps the trigger. But what he can do that most can't, is practice follow through when slapping. Even though he slaps the trigger he makes sure he sees the front sight rise on the target when the gun goes bang. Not easy to do when slapping. Most have way more luck insuring follow through by prepping the trigger, aligning the sights, breaking with intention, and then following through. People who use this method is a very long list of champion shooters. Sig's Max Michel, Para's Todd Jarrett, Glock's David Sevigny, AMU captain Travis Tomasie and on and on. Unless of course they are shooting for groups seeing what the gun/load can do and then surprise break comes back.
  4. I don't go out of the country unless I have to.

    .17 hmr advice

What I always worry about when a new caliber comes along is if it will remain. My dad bought a 5mm rem mag when I was a kid and like the 17 it was in all of the rags and was all the rage. Well, fast forward 10 years and he couldn't find ammo for it and if you did it was way expensive. I'm not saying the 17 will be like this, but it is something to consider. The 17 really does nothing better than a 22 mag does. And if you need faster for longer shots you are better served again with a centerfire 22 or some flavor. JMO
  6. LOL, I'm sure it won't help his self esteem when he looks in the mirror and that moron mark is starring back at him.
  7. A friend of mine sent the pics to me. A guy turned it in to the police dept. to get rid of it after a reloading accident that left a nasty wound on his forehead.
  8. 6" limited? Not for me, I'm gonna stick with the 5 for limited and 4 for around town. I just have not jumped on the 6 inch band wagon (not that they are not awesome..they are). You comin' out for the match in Nov.?????? Get ya a piece of wood for the wall???
  9. Nuttin' like a Brown!!!! Congrats!!
  10. No one expects a carpenter to build a house with just one saw. How can one expect to kill bad guys, birds, deer, elk, zombies, turkeys, cardboard, rabbits, squirrels, moose, pronghorns, etc with just one gun. That's insane. I figure that no matter how many guns I have I'll always be 10 short.
