I don't think they will try a frontal assault. Instead it will be an end around flanking maneuver. Health care reform, (if they get the public option) will open up all sorts of possibilities for them, and give them far reaching powers. Guns could become a public safety issue (since gun related injuries result in so much money every year) and therefore they will try to go after them that way. Any remotely dangerous activity will be in the cross hairs. Particularly if it is something the left does not like.

Dude, Take it to the range and film yourself shooting it and then when it jams show it to the camera. Let the camera see many angles of the jam. Do this several times and send the DVD with the gun to Sig. They will fix it.

Who in the TN area has access to a shoot house for training? I know Montgomery Co. was building one the last time I was up there.

SV at one time made or maybe still makes a 1911 with a changeable breach face. My buddy had one and it ran great but the breach face would work loose every now and again and was a pain to keep tight.

This is making its way around again and thought that surely some have not seen it. I first read it a year or two ago and love it. So, just in case you have not seen it..........Here you go! "THE RETROSEXUAL MALE: Please allow me to vent. I have had it. I've taken all I can stand and I can't stand no more. Every time my TV is on, all that can be seen is effeminate men prancing about, redecorating houses and talking about foreign concepts like "style" and "feng shui." Heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, transsexual, metrosexual, non-sexual; blue, green, and purple-sexual - bogus definitions have taken over the urban and suburban world! Real men of the world, stand up, scratch your butt, belch, and yell "ENOUGH!" I hereby announce the start of a new offensive in the culture Wars, the Retrosexual movement. " The Code : A Retrosexual man, no matter what the women insists, PAYS FOR THE DATE. A Retrosexual man opens doors for a lady. Even for the ones that fit that term only because they are female. A Retrosexual DEALS with IT, be it a flat tire, break-in into your home, or a natural disaster, you DEAL WITH IT. A Retrosexual not only eats red meat, he often kills it himself. A Retrosexual doesn't worry about living to be 90. It's not how long you live, but how well. If you're 90 years old and still smoking cigars and drinking, I salute you. If you are still having sex, you are a God. A Retrosexual does not use more hair or skin products than a woman. Women have several supermarket aisles of stuff. Retrosexuals need an endcap (possibly 2 endcaps if you include shaving goods.) A Retrosexual does not dress in clothes from Hot Topic when he's 30 years old. A Retrosexual should know how to properly kill stuff (or people) if need be. This falls under the "Dealing with IT" portion of The Code. A Retrosexual watches no TV show with "Queer" in the title. A Retrosexual does not let neighbors screw up rooms in his house on national TV. A Retrosexual should not give up excessive amounts of manliness for women. Some is inevitable, but major reinvention of yourself will only lead to you becoming a froo-froo little puss, and in the long run, she ain't worth it. A Retrosexual is allowed to seek professional help for major mental stress such as drug/alcohol addiction, death of your entire family in a freak treechipper accident, favorite sports team being moved to a different city, favorite bird dog expiring, etc. You are NOT allowed to see a shrink because Daddy didn't pay you enough attention. Daddy was busy DEALING WITH IT. When you screwed up, he DEALT with you. A Retrosexual will have at least one outfit in his wardrobe designed to conceal himself from prey. A Retrosexual knows how to tie a Windsor knot when wearing a tie -- and ONLY a Windsor knot. A Retrosexual should have at least one good wound he can brag about getting. A Retrosexual knows how to use a basic set of tools. If you can't hammer a nail, or drill a straight hole, practice in secret until you can -- or be rightfully ridiculed for the wuss you be. A Retrosexual knows that owning a gun is not a sign that your are riddled with fear, guns are TOOLS and are often essential to DEAL WITH IT. Plus it's just plain fun to fire one off in the direction of those people or things that just need a little "wakin' up". Crying. There are very few reason that a Retrosexual may cry, and none of them have to do with TV commercials, movies, or soap operas. Sports teams are sometimes a reason to cry, but the preferred method of release is swearing or throwing the remote control. Some reasons a Retrosexual can cry include (but are not limited to) death of a loved one, death of a pet (fish do NOT count as pets in this case), loss of a major body part, or loss of major body part on your Ford truck. When a Retrosexual is on a crowded bus and or a commuter train, and a pregnant woman, heck, any woman gets on, that retrosexual stands up and offers his seat to that woman, then looks around at the other so-called men still in their seats with a disgusted "you punks" look on his face. A Retrosexual knows how to say the Pledge properly, and with the correct emphasis and pronunciation. He also knows the words to the Star Spangled Banner A Retrosexual will have hobbies and habits his wife and mother do not understand, but that are essential to his manliness, in that they offset the acceptable manliness decline he suffers when married/engaged or in a serious healthy relationship - i.e., hunting, boxing, shot putting, shooting, cigars, car maintenance. A Retrosexual knows how to sharpen his own knives and kitchen utensils. A Retrosexual man can drive in snow (hell, a blizzard) without sliding all over or driving under 20mph, without anxiety, and without high-centering his ride in a snow bank. A Retrosexual man can chop down a tree and make it land where he wants. Wherever it lands is where he damn well wanted it to land. Except on his truck--that would

This is about everything you need to know about shooting a 1911 or any pistol. The only thing I can add to this video is to keep your elbows bent slightly and ride the thumb safety with your thumb.

1. Send it back to SA. 2. Change lube. I like Gun Butter, FP 10, or synthetic motor oil. 3. Try Hornady xtp's and golden sabers....I have had much success with these profiles. 4. Does it do it with one less round in the mag?????? I'm betting not. Most of the time this is a mag problem and can be cured with a wilson or a tripp mag. But that of course is not an option since no one really makes mags for them. This is why I never bought one. I've done the micro 1911 dance many, many times (but never didn't get one to run 100%). Sending it back to springfield is your best bet right now. Just hope that the guy there is not a hack/new and does what needs done. Jeff Walle at G n L is probably a good bet for checking the ramp angle, polishing, throating etc if you want to pay for it locally. I wouldn't pay a cent as long as it is under warranty.

Actually, according to the US fish and wildlife surveys many more hunters in both PA and New York than here. Texas is first in numbers of hunters year after year followed by PA and then MO, and New York is in the top 4 or 5 most years. Here is a link to the most recent survey completed for the year 2006. Not a problem. -
Leroy, If your 650 is doing that, you really should not accept that kind of performance from it. I have a 650 as does 5 or 6 of my buddies and none of us has had that problem. I have loaded over 100k with mine and the only time I had a primer seating issue is when the indexing plate was wore out and had a groove wore in it. Dillon sent me a new one (for free of course...gotta love Dillon) and for the last 25k or so it has been bullet proof (pun intended:p) Tim

Keep an eye on the chute and make sure it is full and keeping pressure on the primer that is on the plunger. If not sometimes the primer will not be centered on the plunger and therefore crush the primer in the pocket of flip it sideways. I hope this helps. I had a 1000 many years ago and my memory may be whacked.

Full size 1911 in 40. -
Yep, I had an ultra CDP for a while and it ran great for me. But when my wife shot it, it would short stroke and malfunction. They are really sensitive to limp wristing. And I have to say that gave me pause as a carry gun because in an emergency who knows what your grip will be like. So, you can lighten up the recoil and mainspring to help the short stroke problem but if you go too far the slide can start to outrun the mag if you're not careful. I could go on and on and on about this crap but I wont.

I'm almost at a +1 First let me say you would be hardpressed to find a bigger 1911 fan than me, I have owned and still own about every flavor of 1911 you could imagine and carry nothing else. But the fact is that the smaller the 1911 the larger your chances become of having running problems. Now, don't misunderstand me, they will all run and run as reliable as anything else, but it may take some tweeking (maybe). Most people are not willing to mess with it. So, you may have a better shot of a gun running 100% out of the box with the walther.

Naaa, I just heard from him and it is a local company called "Northern Whitetail Scents". He used it that day and they asked him to take some pics with their scents so he did.
-
I don't know. I noticed that too. I'll have to ask him, but it might just have been something in his pocket that was bothering him when he knelt.

Killed it with a bow at 20yds. Up state New York this past Saturday (damn yankee.....wait I'm originally from PA.....DOH). The pics were taken after he got home in his backyard. The deer was taken on a 250 acre farm and no one in the area had even seen this monster. He figures it will score about 180. Dang, what a deer of a lifetime.

My buddy just killed this on Saturday...................WOW!!!

Well, I think first we should send this link to every LEO and Military we know and ask them to sign up and pass it along too. If nothing else it sends a strong and clear message to lawmakers. I truly expect them to try something with guns if the healthcare bill passes with a govt option. And they will do it in the name of reducing healthcare cost and public safety.
