If you are talking about this one: 5460, then skip it, it reads good but overrated. The part they say is to save bag material is useless, by the time you get to that step you already sealed the bottom so who cares if you can see where you seal the top. You could use the top sealer to do the bottom, but then you may as well get one with just one seal strip and save on the purchase price. I have this one: V4445, it works ok, but you have to get used to pulling the bag back a bit when you do the bottom, because if you don't you waste about an inch of material, not much but it adds up. You also have to leave enough on the top because it needs it to start the vacuum process.

I wonder if that would go the same way nowadays? Seems like today he would just go on and be reelected like it never happened.

Oh, I don't use tatatalk for anything else, just pics. It has always been hard to navigate for me, specially since I messed up and added a few sites to it and it messes me up trying to figure which is which sometimes.

I use Tapatalk to post pics, it does it inline and then if needed you can edit the message straight on the webpage.

Don't fire a gun within Memphis city limits
Omega replied to NextExit's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Unfortunately, there is a strong possibility he can be convicted. Especially if there are a bunch of liberals in the jury, and we know Memphis is full of them. A good read: https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/warning-shots/ -

I wondered as well, when at JD, some of the truck drivers said they couldn't carry a hammer because it could be considered a weapon. -

Touche, probably didn't plan his logbook right. -

Yea, but what idiot comes back after shots are fired? -
I think it ebbs and flows with good customer service, I've mostly had positive experiences with those two places. In fact, for the most part, I've had good CS anywhere I go. The key is to realize who is on the other side and that they may not have the power to fix the situation, and most importantly that they personally didn't cause the situation (unless they did). I've had calls and emails answered with an offer for replacement no questions asked. Conversely, had the same companies ask all kinds of questions, ask for pictures etc.

3 Shot Burst, But How?
Omega replied to Cherokee Slim's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Many army units still have 3rnd burst M4s, only select few, even within some units have the FA M4A1 ARs. They are slow to come around but will eventually. -
3 Shot Burst, But How?
Omega replied to Cherokee Slim's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Didn't like, or use, the 3 round burst. If the cycle did not finish, the next trigger pull finished the set; so if two fired before, only one would fire the next time. I stayed on semi until the FA ones were given to us, and that too I stayed on semi. -
Veterans respond to Starbucks criticisms re: refugees
Omega replied to Chucktshoes's topic in General Chat
I'm sure it was a calculated risk, their customer base is mostly left leaning so how much business are they really losing? While I get a chai tea every now and then, I'm sure they won't miss me. -

Maybe not, but make no mistake, you are not welcome there while carrying. http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/2013/09/18/starbucks-coffee-guns-ceo-schultz/2829937/ -
The 30" is nice, but a taller unit would be better IMHO, deer sausage hangs a bit low in it. You can make a workaround, or just lay the sausage on the grills, but they smoke a bit unevenly that way. For regular things it would be great as is, but the MES lends itself to many mods, some of which I've done, others are going to be this spring. Not my pics, but you get the idea. To control airflow/smoke, works great. MES Mailbox Mod! for use with AMNPS. Not done yet, can't get the AMNPS working yet. To hang sausage a bit higher, raises it almost perfectly for summer sausage.

Ok, maybe I'm too much of a pessimist, but it reads to me like an industry trying to sell as many of these overpriced cans as possible before the possible passage of the HPA takes the rug out from under them. While I have no illusion about a quick passage, I feel this is one of the best times to attempt it. And if it passes, I doubt these cans can maintain their current pricing strategy.

In the army (maybe DOD wide), they pack many things in desiccant so I collected them instead of discarding the bags upon opening the item. I chuck mine in the oven, bag and all on a cookie sheet for a couple hours then put them back in the safe. Recently I came across a sale of one you plug in, with a moisture/temp sensor which stays outside the safe, lets you know when to plug it back in to dry. But I may look for a can to perforate so I can tell when the others need a recharge.

Veterans respond to Starbucks criticisms re: refugees
Omega replied to Chucktshoes's topic in General Chat
Respect, meh; they are doing it for publicity otherwise they would just do it and be quiet about it. IMO they are very left leaning and only "support" veterans because it helps their bottom line. Besides, if I were running a business I would rather hire veterans who were honorably discharged because at the very least they have learned how to be on time and meet guidelines. So if you get that kind of worker and can get some public props for doing it, well win-win. And before someone says it, I do understand that there are some vets I wouldn't trust to make my coffee, but there are fewer of them than there are school aged ones in the same boat. -

I would rather they work too, but after they are fully vetted. And the way those governments are, that may never be. -

What it says to me is that Starbucks considers Veterans on par with foreign refugees, as they are pledging to hire the same number of them as veterans. -
I have started avoiding amazon, unless on sale, many of their items are just not very competitively priced, seems like they upped the price to cover "free" shipping, and they collect TN Tax. I have used jet, Walmart, and just straight to the vendors site depending on price, many times beating amazon rates.

Ha, I did 1k for 300Blk, and about to do another 1k for .277WLV. I learned my lesson with the 300Blk though and have the proper equipment to do it faster this time...I think. I looked at the auctions when I was looking for some brass for the first conversion, but I didn't have the room for that many. Be nice to get a group buy going on one of these.

That's actually a good question, but I would ask it this way; as a passenger, are you in possession of the vehicle? Though I believe if you are driving, whether you own it or not, you're covered, I'm not sure a passenger would be.

The thing is, it's still there: This lists ads the old way https://www.tngunowners.com/forums/forum/39-firearms-classifieds/ This lists it the new way. https://www.tngunowners.com/forums/classifieds/category/3-firearms-classifieds/

One was fired the other was probably either in a mag or in a mag pouch because their's no rifling on the hit round.

I think an auto analogy is more like Lexus vs Toyota. I own a mix of AR brands, and honestly see no difference. Of course, I don't run mine hard and don't need it for combat though I would trust all of them to do so. PSA, and others, source their parts from other manufacturers they are just stamped PSA. So you may have parts by BCM, Aero Precision, Olympic Arms, FN etc. I have a couple of their uppers and lowers, seperate triggers, nitride and nickle boron BCGs, parts kits etc, and as of yet haven't had an issue with anything. So IF, some of these parts use lower quality material, it hasn't failed yet. Another thing is, there haven't been too many reports of PSA having bad builds, some yes, but so have other mfgs, but not enough to make me worry.
