  1. I've seen a few starbucks that meet that criteria, but to be fair most of those have been in either liberal cities or by colleges and universities. As for the vet hiring, they don't rank as high as you think, according to this site they don't even rank in the top 75. http://bestforvets.militarytimes.com/best-employers-for-veterans/2016/

About 1 1/2" - 2" on cars here in Clarksville, I like it.
  3. For the last few years of my military career I was a logistitian, so am used to such things but on a larger scale. We would rent numerous cars, trucks, forklifts (MHE) and hotels.as well as hangers. This always needs major coordination, specially since you're renting all available cars in the area and whole floors of hotels. We've had glitches, but usually worked out satisfactorily. For personal use, rent from the ad online, it is usually a discounted rate the rental agency doesn't have access to. And they will honor the rental contract, even if it means bringing a car in from other locations or giving you an upgrade. I always get unlimited mileage, don't get any insurance since many insurance companies cover rentals, USAA covers me, and if you pay with Visa, it also covers you, the card holder, but always check you are covered. Never pay for gas unless you will be leaving it on empty, and then only if you are pressed for time, prepay is decent sometimes. Always carry your own GPS, or use your phone, less expensive than theirs. Always do a good inspection, note any deficiency even if minor just in case. The airport is more expensive, but if you rent from an ad they will shuttle you to their location most times.
  4. I use this one for SD practice, I made it so I can print it out on standard 8.5x11 paper then assemble it on the range with tape or staples. At a distance the vitals are hard to make out, a good thing, so you get an idea of what you hit with fast draw, off-hand, different positions etc. I do have a color version that shows the heart and aorta in red but I mainly stick with this one. I made some with a hostage/friendly in front of the threat for sniper/room clearing type training as well. But I only use those every once in awhile for fun, I am no longer in that arena. For hunting, zero, or load work up I just stick with any target that has multiple bulls and some type of grid on it, like the one below..I have various types in my range box, some B/W others color.
  5. Yes...and No. You can build a rifle lower from your 80%, if you have a rifle upper without ATF approval. But, before marrying that lower to a short barrel upper, you need to have your tax stamp in hand. To be safe, I would complete the 80% as a pistol lower, then add the stock once your stamp is in your hands.
  6. Mine is the first line when I go to "Edit Profile".
  7. Nice camo, and nice setup on that bipod but hope those springs are good, that think looks like a shoulder buster.
  8. I think you have to be a benefactor to can change it (custom), not sure if you have to have a few posts first though.
  9. It can and has been done before, Freedom Group closed or greatly reduced production of a few gun makers and moved them to Alabama, namely Remington, DPMS, AAC etc. If it makes financial sense, a company will move, and sometimes, it's not all about finance such as when Magpul announced they were pulling out of CO due to the Mag Ban they passed. I'm not worried about the Remington Brand though, as long as I don't see "American Outdoor Brands Corp 700 in .308" on an ad for a rifle.

    AR-Pistol

PSA, keep an eye for their daily deals. http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-7-classic-freedom-5-56-kmod-pistol.html
  11. In that case I would contact RIA to see if this has been a reported issue. They may just replace or repair that ramp if that is the issue. I can't see a gun not being able to run defensive rounds.
  12. Have you tried different Mags? Sometimes the follower or lips make the bullet misfeed.
  13. My condolences, sounds like he left many happy memories and the task to pass them on to your family and friends.
  14. Yup, same scope I was going to recommend. Nikon makes a decent scope, I usually get the ones designed for centerfire just in case I want to swap out to another rifle, but in all these years its never happened so my next 10/22 will wear a rimfire scope like that one.
  15. Don't tell them, there is no permanent modification.
  16. First shot is a ND, second and third??? Yea, you get charged for the first and slammed for 2 and 3.
  17. Yes, a chrony is nice get one if you can. You can also load some ladders, and fire them checking for pressure signs, cycling and lockback on each string. Stop when you get a good working load, or start to see pressure signs. Worked for me when I could not afford a chrony, and also works with one.
  18. If you are talking about this one: 5460, then skip it, it reads good but overrated. The part they say is to save bag material is useless, by the time you get to that step you already sealed the bottom so who cares if you can see where you seal the top. You could use the top sealer to do the bottom, but then you may as well get one with just one seal strip and save on the purchase price. I have this one: V4445, it works ok, but you have to get used to pulling the bag back a bit when you do the bottom, because if you don't you waste about an inch of material, not much but it adds up. You also have to leave enough on the top because it needs it to start the vacuum process.
  19. I wonder if that would go the same way nowadays? Seems like today he would just go on and be reelected like it never happened.
  20. Oh, I don't use tatatalk for anything else, just pics. It has always been hard to navigate for me, specially since I messed up and added a few sites to it and it messes me up trying to figure which is which sometimes.
  21. I use Tapatalk to post pics, it does it inline and then if needed you can edit the message straight on the webpage.
  22. Unfortunately, there is a strong possibility he can be convicted. Especially if there are a bunch of liberals in the jury, and we know Memphis is full of them. A good read: https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/warning-shots/
  23. I wondered as well, when at JD, some of the truck drivers said they couldn't carry a hammer because it could be considered a weapon.
  24. Yea, but what idiot comes back after shots are fired?
