  1. Oh, it gets better, I hope they took the extra insurance: https://www.clickorlando.com/news/propane-tankexplodesin-suv-whenpassenger-lights-cigarette-police-say AND, don't have any warrants when you blow up your rented SUV.
  2. Yea, I understand your feelings, I don't agree, but understand. But the thing is, without the special tax on hunters and outdoorsmen (Pittman-Robertson Act) many conservation projects would suffer.
  3. I don't think NK posses any danger, nuke wise to the US, even Guam. The danger there is China and Russia, but IMHO only if we strike first. As to my screen name, it's not as ominous as all that. Last name starts with O, and many of my troops, and supervisors had trouble pronouncing it so they just called me Sgt O, when another O showed up, he was shorter than me so they started calling me Big O, so when I started doing things online I chose Omega [O (mega)], because I thought it sounded better than Big O.
  4. So are they taking one for the team? Or is it really a trigger issue? Sounds fishy.
  5. Yea, but like horseshoes and hand grenades, with nukes close is good enough. Even if the nuke misses by a mile it would be not only locally devastating, it would be the start of a massive retaliation that may escalate into a nuclear winter the likes of which have yet to be seen.
  6. Not a Club kinda guy so ok, but I rarely get out to Nashville, I hate that traffic. Anywhere past that and I have to have a heck of a reason to venture that far.
  7. Yea, and what are we (Clarksville) chop liver?
  8. What is sad is that we have let this regime blackmail us for as long as we have. We should of stood firm like this back before they had the capability to threaten us.
  9. At this point I would request that they ship you a new one. Heck, I would not of waited more than 90 days let alone 2 years. I would send a letter to the CEO requesting that he get personally involved, if he doesn't fix it I would contact every gun connected magazine, online site and blog I could and tell them the story. Maybe enough people are having the same issue to get a class action suit going.
  10. Yea, that popped out at me until I seen another video that mentioned it was done with blanks.
  11. Just buy a matching pair, and give her one.
  12. Don't stand for that, whenever I don't answer myself I stomp off and go buy a gun, that will show me.
  13. I had one call me from my own number, I picked it up just to see who did it but it was just a dead line.
  14. You should really take care of that, maybe you should get ahold of your kin's, the Nigerian Prince, lawyer and get his estate transferred to you ASAP.
  15. Meh, we can always use some insight from behind the Liberal Curtain , so Welcome Aboard.
  16. My dental office had some free "glasses" so I picked up some. I figure I'll take a look, I like to look at the stars, and this is the closest one.
  17. Nope, but can't recall which came first, I think the H&R. I had an H&R .22, a Ruger Mark 1 or older, and an AF .22 survival rifle. Disposed of them when I joined the military.
  18. I looked at doing one just for S&G before the bottom fell out of the AR market, the one that uses a router looks like the easiest one but they can get pricey.
  19. Thanks guys, I too hope it lasts. The last one was 5 years old, and if the posts would not of rotted out I bet it would of lasted at least another 5. But it did have a few things that I wanted to do better so in the long run it worked out for the best. As for the hot tub, my truck's temp gauge read 114deg so I bet I could of opened up one of those drums. This project did give me some education though: Cement goes bad, even if it doesn't harden. My 5k generator won't run my 6gl air compressor. I don't know which is at fault yet. A 7gl air tank at 120 psi will give me over 50 shots on an 18 gauge nailer. Lumber quality has greatly diminished lately, warped and cracks. Induced voltage, well, still learning more about that.
  20. Well, I'm about finished with the rebuild. Took me awhile due to the heat and working alone but it was gratifying getting it done. I sunk the 10' 4x6 legs 2' each using a bag of quick set cement and then topped it off with some old cement I had. The old cement didn't set so had to dig it out, was like powdery gravel. So I used some diy footing forms to put more cement around the legs, at least 6" above the ground. I used some large deck screw which are advertised as stronger than lag bolts on the corners and joists hangers for added strength. I decided on 42" wide windows on three sides and a 2'x6' door with a smaller window in the back. Framed in the corners to hide the seam and further waterproof them, also framed in the window, mostly for esthetics but helps hold the rain guards too. Wider windows and reducing it to a 6'×6' gives me a better view overall, should also help keep it warmer in there. The metal roof, gutter and stairs still have me a bit worried, the downspout actually arcked across to the ladder but it didn't shock me, so I will probably run a ground wire to a rod. There is a plywood layer under the metal roof so should stay dry inside, and keep the water cleaner in the barrels. Now just have to finish cleaning up the debris around the stand and maybe pour cement footers for the metal staircase (on pavers now). I might also add a small retaining wall behind the foot of the staircase to prevent erosion, should know more after all these rainstorms go by.
  21. A slight breeze can throw you off a bit, such as a ceiling fan or A/C. If within .02 I wouldn't worry too much about it.
  22. Ha, I have a Jennings too, got it as a snake gun. Still have the .22LR snakeshot I bought for it in the late 80s. CCIs, were the only things that would work more than a couple times before a jam.
  23. As a child, I was vaccinated for all the standard things and when I joined the Army, they also gave me a series of shots. While in the military, we constantly got vaccinated for everything under the sun, and some stuff that never seen the light of day. The only thing that gave me an adverse reaction was mefloquine for malaria, it would give me some strange dreams. My children were all vaccinated, for everything the school required and some required for overseas (Japan). Today, they and I still keep up with them.
