  1. It's not that hard, specially if you have a large area to fire at. Once you get close you just walk them in, just be glad he didn't master burst mode. It doesn't take much training, and crosswinds aren't much of a hinderence unless you are working on MOA.
  2. Hmm, had heard it had immigration info. A dope card would be next to useless with rapid fire, it's only good when snipping and adjusting your scope after either each shot or string.
  3. No need to ask you, that's the beauty of it; not having to check with anyone to excercise your rights. While I'm not much for FA, or anything in the NFA realy, I don't care that others do.
  4. From https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1988/10/02/soviets-afghan-rebels-pressure-us-on-arms/1011636c-7396-4a11-ba7a-35259125c258/?utm_term=.b48868a51289 But there were many more articles just like that, many of which I read then. I was on active duty so kept up with all these events in case it meant deployment. Tech alone doesn't win wars, I agree somewhat, but it sure makes for a long protracted war and with enough tech it's nearly impossible to win without tech of your own.
  5. Well yes, but it wasn't until the stingers showed up that the tide turned. But, I agree that an insurgency wouldn't be as one sided as all that, there are more than a few active duty patriots out there.
  6. That was then, try getting to someone seriously in charge with only a popper. Again, try getting to some of these guys calling the shots. You think Pelosi has lasted this long because of her good personality? Hell, nowadays try getting to just about any high profile Hollywood individual, most have security up the wazzoo, but still calling for us to be disarmed.
  7. Redneck engineering at its finest, I love it. Recover any bullets?
  8. You seem to think that these lefties care if this actually passes. If it passes they win, if Trump vetoes it, they win. How much political capital is on the line here?
  9. Problem is many so called 2nd Amendment supporters are folding like a house of cards on this issue, so signing this won't disenfranchise them.
  10. Problem is, we never get any pieces back once we lose them. I say fight this, fight it tooth and nail.
  11. I don't agree with ANY push to regulate something because of a deranged madman used it to kill people. I don't like auto anything, and don't do mag dumps, I am more effective using controlled fire. But if we keep allowing them to change the rules every time they get the notion, we are already sliding down that slippery slope. I for one think the NFA should never of existed in the first place and should be working to eliminate it, not add to it in any way shape or form.
  12. Ever had to sit through hours and hours of video looking for one person or event which could of happened, or not? It will be released, just going to take awhile. The only video I'm interested in is from the perps camera. The suicide photo is pretty telling in and of itself, it had just happened. All the outside analysis of a second shooter, so far, has holes, many holes.
  13. Seems to be plenty to point at him being the lone gunman, albeit not released yet. He had cameras inside, so may be some footage of him actually pulling the trigger. The suicide photo shows no coagulation, so a recent enough pic. Casinos have cameras everywhere, so I'm sure there is enough footage of his comings and goings. Leaks will keep coming before they officially release them, so there should be plenty to compare notes with.
  14. Heard in one of the press conferences he had 19 bump-fire stocks, wonder if that was a misstatement; that would mean all the ARs would of been wearing one.
  15. Success has many measures. Sandy Hook victims tried to sue the gun companies, I don't recall the outcome of all of them but I'm sure it cost the companies a few $$ to defend themselves, and it kept it in the news as well.
  16. No danger of adding fuel due to that, hunting rifles are capable of distances greater than most ARs. But its the evil black rifles that get the blame.
  17. Unlikely. In todays society, there has to be someone made to pay. I suspect the hotel, the concert promoters and even maybe some of the civilian rescuers are in danger of being sued.
  18. Not too bad actually, they put worse on tv, fake of course but yea, worse.
  19. Seen the original, seems he ate a judge.
  20. Wondering how they figured they were full auto? I hope it wasn't just by the selector switch markings and someone knew how to perform a function check on those ARs.
  21. The problem is two fold, first, you are probably correct, no new anti-gun will come, but there in lies the other problem nothing pro-gun either. There is already plenty on the books and things like the HPA, SHUSH, whatever has any chance now. IMHO some Rinos probably breathed a sigh of relief about this so they can have an excuse.
  22. So, one of theirs does the shooting and it's the guns fault??
