It's always my policy to eliminate all enemy combatants in the field, good for the kid. I think the dying scene took way too long though, at the end I was "Just die already".

Yea, I seen her take a couple questionable shots, lucky thing for the mother there was no passthrough, but the fact that she kept engaging is to be commended.

Which brings up the questions; where was he shot and what bullet type and caliber were used?

This video shows why you keep engaging the threat until the threat stops, or you run out of bullets. Notice how the perp has been hit, at least twice but still gets one of the guns and attempts to shoot one of the clerks. This ended well for the clerks, but it could have gone sideways very quickly. He should of been dropped when he turned the corner after they armed themselves. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2018/02/24/watch-mother-daughter-in-gun-fight-with-shotgun-wielding-robbery-suspect/

That may very well come to light and open the eyes of a few when/if this goes to court. I don't expect it to turn any of the hardcore anti-gunners, but some of the sheeple may just become sheepdogs.

Everybody make it through the bad weather last night?

No damage here though we had tornado warnings, and one apparently touched down around exit 8 in Clarksville. -
I reload and cast my own, and I have plenty of consumable supplies. And except for powder, the shortages didn't affect reloading supplies much, at least for what I shoot.

More likely that a CCW Permit holder drew his weapon when someone yelled "gun". The one left behind might be from the initial person with a gun.

The the process for an emergency restraining order need to be looked at, hard. While I don't doubt that in some cases it may be warranted, it isn't every time. IMHO, in a case of a vindictive spouse, they should be charged with a crime for false reporting, and everything wiped from the wronged persons record.

Too bad you're in Memphis or I'd be happy to. I'd bet they would go fast if you put them up in a free thread.

Of course, because terrorists follow laws so well. The biggest reason is that it's a hardened target, and successful attack is not assured.

I find the complete opposite to be true, the standard MRE has improved so much since they were introduced, now favoring many commercially acquired products. They're not luxury meals by no means, but one standard meal can carry you the entire day if need be and have surpassed the dehydrated beef patties of old.

Why not? They hardened their schools, nobody is saying to copy anything else.

Companies ending partnerships with NRA

Same here, I don't use any of the NRA discounts, and I don't look for them specifically, this is about their, the companies, unwillingness to stand up to these snowflakes that want to cause us gun owners trouble. If they want to wade into the social issue swamp then it's time we introduce them to the critters with teeth. -
I'm ok with this as long as due process is followed. I do not want a simple restraining order to be the cause of someone losing their weapons, they have to adjudicate someone a mental case, or prove he/she is a danger to themselves or others then yea, pull their weapons. And of course a path to restore their rights.

If you are looking for long term storage, look for the dried meals, like the kind that get used by hikers and mountain climbers. I don't do the mre thing as I only do week long hunt trips so just get a few of these, they have Pace, Campbell, Prego etc:

My idea is to allow trained personnel, such as vets, off duty LEO, and civilians to volunteer their services. Will there be a cost, a little, but only to run training/testing, and vetting volunteers. The NRA and Industry partners can be solicited to run free training, as most know, once you take one class, you want more. Of course, it won't happen...TPTB need the turmoil.
-
How about us retired military folks willing to step up and volunteer our services? I am sure we easily outnumber the NG.
