  1. Zelle is new(ish) kind of like Paypal but not (yet) anti-gun. I recall there was an escrow service out there that use to cater to purchases like gun sales, can't recall the name though. Edit: it lists some here: https://support.gunbroker.com/hc/en-us/articles/221688408-Using-an-Online-Escrow-Service
  2. Well, I'm Hispanic and have not felt excluded in any way. Heck for a long time I thought one guy here was black until he mentioned his avatar was not a reflection on his ethnicity (I'll let him chime in), and I bet many here thought so as well. I don't feel that TGO excludes anyone, but face it, this is a majorly white male oriented hobby, not because it excludes anyone per se, but that is who gravitates to it. This is not something that is a problem as I see it, what are we going to be "busing" in minorities and females in from other forums? Until minorities and females WANT to be gun owners, AND join these groups the status quo will be maintained. I personally don't care what gender or ethnicity a gun owner is, I just care what actions they take with their guns. As a gun owner, I talk to anyone who seems interested in them, I'll even invite them to go shooting with me. I have spent many a round with friends and family and their friends at a few ranges. I've encountered some that have started an anti-gun rant with me unaware that I was carrying the whole time until I mentioned it. I've even had a few lean my way at the end.
  3. Caveat emptor on the money part, I would use a medium which could be traced directly to a person or bank account, such as Paypal, Zelle, etc, and make sure it contains a note to what the transaction is for. It would fall to small claims court, unless wire or postal fraud would apply, so make sure you keep all emails, text messages etc. As to the FFL, if the firearm is in another state, that is mandatory. The only issue there would be is if he wants to send it directly to an FFL, some FFLs do not accept transfers from individuals.
  4. Ruger .22, a Standard or Mark I, can't recall, bought it at a Flea market in Denver when I was about 16 or 17.
  5. Fancy or not, it will do the trick. That was/is my first AR, I like it just fine.
  6. Yea, I'm good either way as I usually take doe since I don't see too many bucks at my place. I never used a taxidermist, but I've mounted a few antlers, and I did a European mount a few years ago. A buck in velvet may make an interesting European mount.
  7. Yea, didn't get much advertising, and I get TWRA and TWF emails. Thanks for the heads up, I wonder if this an extra buck or is it part of the years quota?
  8. Uncle Capone has me guarding this... Touch it, I dare you!
  9. Ok then, if they indeed notified them then it's on the business to rectify the situation. I have no heartburn when a company does something like this as long as it doesn't single out the gun industry (or conservatives) while allowing others to skate.
  10. Yea, I could see if the vendor broke the TOS, but at the same time shouldn't they of notified the vendor there was an issue instead of rejecting the purchases, after the fact? Once a customer comes out of the store, with a product, it is a PITA to get them back in to pay for what they already consider paid. I know if I was one of the businesses involved, I would be seriously thinking about not doing any further business with them after this.
  11. Thanks, I may take you up on it if nobody has one closer.
  12. I wonder the number affected? Enough to make this a class action lawsuit? I'd like to see if they are ready to put some $$ behind their decision.
  13. Yea, and customers can do the same. But I consider this a losing proposition for them, when people determine that they can deny legally purchased goods and services just because they don't like said services they will vote with their feet. Today, it may be guns, next, what? Alcohol, cigarettes, political contributions???
  14. Anyone have a Throat Erosion Gauge for an M1 Garand I could use, borrow or rent? I ordered the Muzzle Erosion Gauge as it will come in handy for any 30 Cal, but the TE Gauge is caliber specific and this is the only 30/06 I own. I highly doubt I will need it beyond the initial check, I'm just trying to get the initial numbers to see where it stands right now. If in Nashville or Clarksville area maybe we can get together and just check it on site this weekend.
  15. Well, looks like CITI is all in, and while guns sort of fit into their exclusion list, the fact that guns were not on it before just screams "Anti-Gun" to me. https://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2018/5/30/fear-loading-citi-excludes-gunsammo-from-new-credit-card-protection-policy/
  16. Nah, the suspect was said to of turned and aimed two guns at the home owner. If the shots hit in the front, no issue, if in the back then maybe, but doubtful.
  17. Keep an eye on Seattle, as they go so will the state, and they have a large liberal voting block. It's a west coast infection that will spread, we may slow it down some, but it is slowly infecting all major cities.
  18. Well sure, wouldn't you defend your family more than a stranger?
  19. Give T-rowe price a call, many of their funds have been doing quite well.
  20. I've been thinking long and hard on this one. One one side, I see your point, murder is murder, but then I think, isn't killing a police officer not only murder, but an attack on society, and the rule of law? Most murders are usually between individuals who know each other, or are in the same game, drugs, gang, domestic etc. A police officer is there to keep the peace, for the rest of us. He may settle disputes now and then, but mostly there to keep us civil. Attacking that not only commits a crime, but also erodes society a bit. And I must add, the same goes for killing anyone in any public office, and of course this is only when done while in the line of duty.
  21. Apparently there is enough stupid to go around as often as it happens.
  22. You know, you would think those NFL players and their supporters could do the same for the offended soldiers...Hmm, different shoes?
  23. Unless the OP is a previously banned individual, as was insinuated above, you guys are pushing the easy button a bit prematurely IMHO. He was dubbed Hitler well before this post.
  24. Deserves to be called that and then some IMHO. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nationalreview.com/2018/03/david-hogg-profanity-laced-rant-targets-gun-rights-supporters/amp/
