  1. The only reason that failed was because of that ####head McCain, not because of the lack of trying. But now it's a tougher road, and doubt they get that chance again.
  2. Maybe l'm not catching on...how does losing 31 by Repubs, greater than 63 by dems?
  3. Just a nutjob?, Vote didn't go his way?, Homegrown terrorist? Who knows but even though he used a handgun, it will be the ARs that will suffer the upcoming weapons laws.
  4. Oh this will head to court; how can they hold someone responsible if a thief steals your guns? If someone breaks into my car or home, they can break into a safe (bunch of videos on that), so where are they going to draw the line? And this shinola about training every five and recertification yearly seems way out of line, a drivers license, which cause more deaths is renewed every 5-8 years in most places without retesting.
  5. Even worse I think, Rick seemed to have been washed down the river since the field the helicopter landed at was not near the bridge. I feel the writers are getting lazy, too many unbelievable scenarios and inconsistencies.
  6. Flew off into the sunset. They left it open for him to return I guess, the Trash Chick had him flown out in one of the helicopters that they teased us with.
  7. Sounds like they will try and develop the zombies a bit, they were starting to become a non issue, but let them "think" and we may have a whole new ballgame.
  8. Why one of these sun flashlights of course
  9. In this case, I agree, but that isn't always feasible. SWAT takes time to assemble, so some departments only call them in for higher risk situations. They may have not considered him dangerous, at least not so dangerous that SWAT was necessary.
  10. Yea, sad thing, hope he pulls through. Point man needs a ballistic shield nowadays, no doubt.
  11. This poor SOB: https://www.wnd.com/2011/04/289181/ The ATF needs their ass handed to them more often IMO.
  12. I detest the NFA, but the ATF is charged with deciding legality, if they have said braces are legal then so be it. spirit be damned. The DA can surely say that, but any jury member can ferret out the truth, and that is that the law in and of itself gives defendants reasonable doubt. If the DA opens that can of worms, I think it would be easy enough to get those letters introduced saying the brace is legal, and if I recall correctly the letter is to the manufacturer, not the user. Original Open Letter (Bad to shoulder) https://www.atf.gov/file/11816/download Clarification Letter to Sig (Ok to Shoulder) https://www.sigsauer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/atf-letter-march-21-2017.pdf But, even this letter, to clarify the past letter, doesn't do a good job at clarifying a damned thing. In fact, it, IMO, keeps it as muddy as before, if not more so. According to the ATF, just taking off the Velcro strap off the Sig Brace makes it an SBR, while the Blade doesn't come with a strap but is legal. tell me a good lawyer can't raise doubt by showing the jury these ridiculous rules. https://www.nraila.org/articles/20170425/brace-yourself-atf-reconsiders-obama-era-policy-on-stabilizing-braces
  13. I carry a knife and a multitool, but not so much for offence/defense measures, more utility. But if a blade does not lock, or the lock fails it can be dangerous, just like a dull knife.
  14. I'm not a fan of OTFs, it's just a preference thing for me, but I also worry that if it hits something or it gets grit or lint into the inside it will hinder the blade from locking. The locking part on a benchmade I've taken apart, for clean\lube, doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy.
  15. Any decent lawyer can introduce reasonable doubt about the ATF's rules. All you have to do is get an ATF guy on the witness stand and ask them to let the jury know the legality of about 5 different lowers with braces. Any jury member with half a brain will call BS on these cases with or without letters. There are plenty of examples where evidence is not allowed, which to the layman, should be, but that's just the way it goes, it all depends on the arguments and the judge's viewpoint.
  16. Remember that little visit to the Vets??
  17. Thanks for the update, been missing most of the nightly news coverage.
  18. Possibly, but in the meantime I'll keep using it. ATF may try going full retard on this one day, but I for one will not keep from doing things legally, while they still are. If they change the interpretation, so be it, I'll burn that bridge when I get to it. It's like driving 55 on I-24 because they may change their minds about the limit.
  19. it may take a bit, and $$, but I expect this to be resolved in the gun shop's favor. ATF can't have double standards, as the owners rebuttal letter makes a convincing argument that there are other weapons with approved BATF letter that are measured differently.
  20. Didn't take it as such, I had seen the newsflash which said it was on a bus..I thought a student had been shot.
  21. There was something earlier that it was on the bus, the name of the report still states it, but it has now been corrected.
  22. A little misleading, but yes sorry to those effected.:
  23. Time to sue the State that allowed the prosecution of these cases. It's time we begin an assault on the insane rules the ATF makes, and the entire NFA as a whole. Seems to me the NFA is nothing more than a tax, and illegal tax, on the 2nd Amendment, and like the Poll Tax, should be done away with.
