  1. No, I do not oppose wearing one in public, or private for that matter. I just won't wear one. How hard is that to understand?
  2. I agree, I support the right for people to wear them if they want to, but don't do so myself.
  3. Sorry to hear about your loss, my sincere condolences.
  4. You can say the same for those that whine that everyone should wear one.
  5. Nah, just scream "Black Lives Matter" and "This is for Floyd" and they will give you a pass.
  6. This happened to me a couple days ago. I went to Popeyes and ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and fries. When I got home, I began eating the sandwich and discovered it had no spice. I called and spoke to a manager, she said just come by and get the correct sandwich. I asked do I need my receipt, she said no, just say I spoke to a manager. So I went back, and the first thing the window clerk said (after I explained the mixup) is "Do you have your receipt?" and "where is the other sandwich". I explained what the manager had told me, she called to someone, and here comes another kid, and he tells me "where is my sandwich" . No less than four people came to the window all asking the same thing, even after explaining I had already bit into the other sandwich. I finally got my correct sandwich, but it was handed to me real reluctantly and in a rude manner. I wasn't going to make a fuss there at the window and be labeled a racist, and feel even corporate will get me nowhere, so just let it go. But it just goes to show you that customer service has gone to poop, but so have customers and it's up to each of us to step away.
  7. Seen this posted on another site, so some of the points have not been checked out by me, but I do not feel it is wrong.
  8. If anyone is being disenfranchised, it's the non BLM rioter supporting people out there, and I have a feeling they will show up on election day with their minds made up.
  9. Meh, I have use uber maybe twice, and both times I was carrying. I seen no posted signs.
  10. Yup lost on me, unless I have no other choice, as with "No Guns" signs, I will take my business elsewhere.
  11. With all these riots that went unchecked, and even encouraged by the government, be prepared for a bunch more non compliance if they try to shut things down again.
  12. They will probably follow up with ammunition manufacturing licence for reloaders if they get this passed.
  13. Top dollar if you can even find any. I think it will be after the election that the shortages will start to diminish.
  14. That is the one I have, and with the Sheridan slotted gauge you can't go wrong. Then, it was actually economically better to buy the tools and do your own, before this latest shortage it was better to buy loaded rounds and keep the brass. I did 1k the first time, and just got done doing another 1k or so along with another 1k for my .277 wlv. BTW, 300 whisper also shoots fine in the 300Blk.
  15. Nothing like that needed IMO, but some prefer to anneal, but even that doesn't have to be elaborate, a drill, socket and a propane torch does just fine. Some prefer small base dies, but I started with standard Lee dies, which worked fine, just had to mod the shell holder a bit and size twice. The RCBS and Hornady dies work just fine and the RCBS shell holder is the best for 5.56 based cases because it holds it tighter.
  16. I've stopped keeping up with the positive numbers very early on, the numbers for hospitalized and dead are what truly matters. The more people get tested, the more positives will be found, but that does not mean they haven't been there all along or that they are new cases. And even those numbers have been skewed in some places, counting anyone who died or were killed by other means as covid dead.
  17. Only if they get a "Trump Supporter" to do it, that is the only hope they have of getting a Dem into office...and that won't not work either.
  18. I started this caliber when it was still very rare, had to convert my own brass to reload my own ammo. I still do it, as commercial ammo is just too expensive IMO and it isn't any better than when I roll my own.
  19. What a POS, "I am a combat veteran", I hate when these self entitled MFs use that. Well guess what, many of us Combat Vets out there, and that does not give us the right to illegally block a highway. Your rights stop right where mine begin, remember that. As to the confrontation, I have to say I commend him for not taking a shot at that guy that punched him. If he stopped on his own, he should have gone all the way to some place where the police could have intervened sooner.
  20. It's one of those play it by ear things for me. If they are just blocking the road and there are a few cars with me, I'd ride it out leaving enough space between me and the car in front of me to maneuver out of there if need be. If the crowd starts getting hostile, breaking windows, trying to pull drivers out etc, then I would use the best weapon I have, my truck. I'd only shoot if it looks like I can no longer move away from the scene, or if I see weapons being brought in. I would look for and engage the immediate threats, call 911 (possibly already online with them by that time) to make sure someone knows what is going on, but the way things have been, there may be no help coming, so would act accordingly. I refuse to go down without a fight, their cause is not my cause and they probably know it or don't care so doubt "clearer heads" on their side would help either.
  21. Already there: https://www.politico.com/news/2020/06/04/judge-tennessee-must-allow-vote-by-mail-for-all-amid-virus-302574 Judge: Tennessee must allow postal voting for all amid virus NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee must give all of its 4.1 million registered voters the option to cast ballots by mail during the coronavirus pandemic, a judge ruled Thursday. Davidson County Chancellor Ellen Hobbs Lyle ruled that the state’s limits on absentee voting during the pandemic constitute “an unreasonable burden on the fundamental right to vote guaranteed by the Tennessee Constitution.” The decision upends a determination by Republican Secretary of State Tre Hargett’s office that fear of catching or unwittingly spreading the virus at the polls wouldn’t qualify someone to vote by mail. The state argued such an expansion wouldn’t be feasible for the 2020 elections, claiming lack of money, personnel and equipment for increased voting by mail, among other concerns. The ruling is likely to be appealed. The decision requires the state to “prominently post on their websites and disseminate to County Election Officials that voters who do not wish to vote in-person due to the COVID-19 virus situation are eligible to request an absentee ballot by mail or that such voters still have the option to vote in-person during Early voting or on Election Day.” The judge wrote that the state has taken an “unapologetic” position and has relied on “oddly skewed” assumptions — including assuming preparations for 100% of registered voters to vote absentee if all were allowed — that go against its own expert and industry standards. Eleven other states, meanwhile, have taken a “can-do approach” by relaxing voting by mail restrictions for the 2020 election, Lyle wrote. “When, however, normal industry-recognized assumptions are used, the evidence establishes that the resources are there to provide temporary expanded access to voting by mail in Tennessee during the pandemic if the State provides the leadership and motivation as other states have done,” the judge wrote. Tennessee has more than a dozen categories that qualify someone for an absentee ballot, from being sick to being 60 or older. The Republican-led Legislature and GOP Gov. Bill Lee have dismissed the idea of offering absentee ballots to all voters, with lawmakers voting against Democratic expansion proposals more than once this week as they meet during pandemic times. Instead, state election officials have recommended preparations as though all 1.4 million registered voters 60 and older — about 1 of every 3 registered voters — will cast mail-in ballots in the August primary. Historically, Tennessee has historically seen less than 2.5% of votes cast by mail, the state has said. About a third of states, including Tennessee, require a reason to vote absentee, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Plaintiffs’ attorneys said Wednesday that about a dozen states have made the change to allow by-mail ballots this year for all registered voters. Several states have been sued to seek the expansion. Several states who have refused have been sued, including Texas, where a federal judge last month ordered absentee voting be made available to any voter in the pandemic. Tennessee’s voter turnout was 14% in the August 2016 primary, then almost 62% for the November 2016 general election, featuring the presidential election. In the 2018 non-presidential year, about 30% of registered voters turned out for the August primary, and 54% in the November election. Tennessee’s August election will be another test case as U.S. states try to safely prepare for the fall general election highlighted by the re-election bid of President Donald Trump, who has been staunchly against opening up absentee voting to everyone during the pandemic. The state court lawsuits were led by #UpTheVote901 and by the American Civil Liberties Union of Tennessee. “This is a major victory for voting rights, said Dale Ho, director of the ACLU’s Voting Rights Project. “This ruling eliminates the excuse requirement for the 2020 elections, meaning Tennesseans will not have to risk their health in order to vote.” The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and the Campaign Legal Center have filed a similar federal lawsuit.
  22. The purpose of shooting at someone is to make them stop what they are doing. The head is a small, very mobile target and unless you hit a vital area it may not incapacitate your opponent. Arms and legs...yea well, that is just stupid! Center mass has the most probability of hitting something vital, though it too has limitations that would take too long here to discuss. But for the most part your opponent will at least think twice about continuing his endeavours. My training was always to put two in the chest and one to the head, but that was because we were trained to combat near-peers that may be wearing body armor. Maybe the boys in blue need to be thinking the same way.
  23. Yup, same 4:1 ratio here, I only make two cups at a time (only two feeders) using warm water using plain sugar. I have two of the bowl type and two of the bottle kind but haven't figured out how to keep the bottle kind from leaking. Not my pics but this is what I am working with, anyone know a trick?
