  1. Do you get a [C:] prompt? if you do run chkdsk to see if you can recover the disk. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows-commands/chkdsk You can also try going to your settings pre-boot: https://www.prosofteng.com/support/mediatoolswipe/changing-your-pcs-boot-device-priority/ There you can change where to boot from, it may not be allowed to boot from USB.
  2. Create, or have someone create a rescue disk for you, boot from the disk and run a diagnostic of the hard drive. Also, when you boot up, listen for and count the beeps, they mean something. https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000124349/understanding-beep-codes-on-a-dell-desktop-pc
  3. Seems that now no matter if you get it or not you will still be mandated to wear masks and isolate yourself, sooooo, yea no shots for me. Can I stop wearing a mask after getting a COVID-19 vaccine? https://newschannel9.com/news/nation-world/can-i-stop-wearing-a-mask-after-getting-a-covid-19-vaccine
  4. Yea, I have had to put down a few, two on a piece of property that was vacant for years next to my house. When one got hit, and the local LEO had to call in and get permission to dispatch the deer, he had to shoot twice, I don't recall what the round was, but it was a shotgun and looked like some kind of small shot instead of slug or 00 buck. So the next two times it happened I just used my Glock .40 to do it, faster and no permission needed. On Hwy 149, going to my hunting area, I have had to do it a few times, don't know what hit them but they were left alive, so had to pull over and go back to dispatch them.
  5. I don't know, sounds like they may have had a reason. Seems her ip address wad used to access an emergency communication system to send out an unauthorized message. And, notice it was just regular LEO, not a swat team with helicopter support as in Gen Flynn's case. https://www.tallahassee.com/story/news/2020/12/07/agents-raid-home-fired-florida-data-scientist-who-built-covid-19-dashboard-rebekah-jones/6482817002/ "Ms. Jones refused to come to the door for 20 minutes and hung up on agents. After several attempts and verbal notifications that law enforcement officers were there to serve a legal search warrant, Ms. Jones eventually came to the door and allowed agents to enter," Plessinger said. "Ms. Jones' family was upstairs when agents made entry into the home." Of course non of that is shown in the video.
  6. Much depends on how active the deer is, if you can, place it at the base of the neck hitting the spine, right where the head meets neck. It puts it down quick, but be prepared for a follow up in case you miss the spine. If it's up and about, or very active, then I go for the heart area, just behind the leg, there are many vitals there that will do the job.
  7. Oh heck, you're an immigrant? Well, then that changes, well ,nothing, enjoy the venison. Good Job!
  8. May he RIP. I watched a Discover(?), channel show were they showed some of his test flights, including where the sound barrier was broken, that would have scared the poop out of me. I've heard the sonic booms in the desert when one of the fast movers went overhead, thought someone had lobbed one at us.
  9. I will follow these crazy laws as much as possible, and won't knowingly break them when I have other options. If you really need one, then sure go for it, but I'm fine in the AR department, and enough lowers to make a few more if needed.
  10. Yes, it matters, whatever it was born as is what matters, if initially a rifle then it would be illegal to have it as a pistol, unless an SBR. Since it's an Anderson, it was probably sold as stripped lower, which means it could go either way, but if there is a record out there, like a forum post, as a rifle prior to it being converted to a pistol, then you would have an issue.
  11. Great job, congrats. That should keep you in venison for some time. Elk steak is some of the best I have had, much better, IMO, than beef.
  12. As I've said before, I will forsake any of the China Virus vaccines until they've been thourouly vetted. And with every one of them in the low 90 percentile of effectiveness, and the virus' survivability in the high 90 percentile I like my chances. Once I get into the higher risk category, which hopefully by then it will be almost gone, or severly diminished, I'll probably take it if they find that the antibodies don't last long. Most likely it will be like the flu, coming back every year with a different strain, if not I'm sure they'll come up with another reason to keep giving the shots.
  13. When I try to press the small dot next to the post title, to get me to the last read post in the thread, instead of taking me to the post, it takes me to the last poster's profile. At first I thought I was just fat fingering it, but it keeps doing it. After I use the back page, it then works as it is supposed to. I'm on an android tablet using chrome and the new dark theme.
  14. Yea, I concur, should be ok to check. But, are you going to use them, offer them for sale, or something? Otherwise, why mess with it until you have to, just in case. If you do, just out of curiosity, be sure to document it, if like me, a few months from now you'll be curious again.
  15. Doing a DIY European mount is not too hard, should give it a try, mine turned out great.
  16. Mounting? If not, he'd make an awesome European.
  17. Nice, congrats! No movement around me, yet. I've heard maybe one shot from deer hunters, but am close to some duck hunting area and heard a bunch from them.
  18. Maybe two freezers, that's a lot of meat. Good luck.
  19. Hope so, need me one, looking for a doe, and won't be able to go after tomorrow, maybe Tuesday morning but it may be cut short if the carport guys show up early.
  20. Not yet, wait until the dems start working biden's plan to tax all gun related items.
  21. I have only seen one, this little 4 point. I was hoping for a big doe, but he will do. Going back out Saturday, hope to get my doe, but if another buck comes out, well, I may just invite him home too.
  22. No, it has not. It may look that way but it is not. The Electoral College hasn't even convened yet.
