  1. Unfortunately it was bound to happen, with all the airlines refusing to stop flight in and out of the infected area it was only a matter of time.  I wonder if they have notified the rest of the passengers on his flight home?
  2. It says more about our society than it does the office, way too many crazies out there.
  3. Ok, she doesn't have to shoot a lick but the rest still stands.
  4. At the very least a warning shot into the grass as he approached the WH.  If after that escalation an intruder persists then he takes the risk of getting shot into his own hands.
  5. Yea, but she's hot; So will look good on tv when she is sued and her business quadruples in size and popularity.  Looking forward  to seeing her making commercials to make her business even bigger.
  6. I am the opposite, I hate those front sight gas blocks.  I would much rather go with  a folding BUIS rather than that fixed sight.  But since I always go with some type of optic, the front sight is pretty useless for me so would rather just have a flat top.  I honestly don't see the need or draw for another AR line, there are so many out there that I question its viability.  Maybe if this is your first AR, but if you have one already and have gone to builds then this is just another AR; nothing special.
  7. I never use any lube on my pistol...well 9mm, .40 and .45 cases. Those calibers have carbide dies and never used lube on them , and as yet haven't stuck a case. I did stick a 300Blk case which I failed to lube but that is my only one. Oh, and my spray is the Lyman brand spray lube so that may be another difference.
  8. In route to/from the dam, be sure to stop by The Dillinger in Boulder City, great little burger joint and its prices are much better than any Vegas restaurant. Decent beer too, specially during happy hour.
  9. Mine arrived Friday, replaced the scope and dry fired a couple times with no perceivable difference. Will have to fire off a few to really make sure but I dont think there will be any issues.
  10. Downloaded; maybe if we can get the word out more places will be reported and avoided. Apps like this need to be developed (more features)and supported by as many 2a supporters as possible to make an impact on anti-gun places.
  11. I got a couple of the battery powered fly swatters when Harbor Freight had free coupons for them. The smell of a bug being zapped is just plain satisfying, and not as bad as squishing them.
  12. I thought the same thing back in the 90s, but there has been vast improvements in modern rounds and tests like this are hard to refute:
  13. While I can't vouch for the validity of this particular report, I have read many which reach much the same conclusion. With modern ammunition, caliber is second to shot placement. Most decent SD centerfire handgun ammo has a negligible difference in penetration.
  14. Probably a large Federal grant for you know who's Green Initiative. So it wasn't out of our pockets it was out of our kid's kids pockets.
  15. So far 300Blk, .270 and .308; but I am sure 30-06 would work fine. Have you cleaned out your dies? Sometimes old lube builds up and may make it stick.
  16. I have the same thing here in Clarksville, and though it may be legal you may want to see what the neighbors think about that. Most of TN is pro hunting but remember that if the deer happens to get into the neighbor's property you need their permission to retrieve. And they may either not give it or not want to have bambi die in front of their kids. Of course, they may be tired of having the deer messing with their gardens and really enjoy venison.
  17. I would do the same, but the question stands; as a reserve LEO you would think he would be carrying at all times.
  18. That was my first though, why a rifle vs a gun?  I don't know for sure, but I bet he was outside when it started and he ran in with his rifle.
  19. Lets hope responders copycat that deputy too.
  20. I asked the same thing out here in Clarksville.  I registered my travel trailer but have since let the plate expire because its probably in its final resting place.  I was told that if you are from out of state, then they follow your states laws, so they will not hassle you anymore than normal.  I had been stopped once because my boat trailer lights were not connected but they didn't ask about the trailer (in NC boat trailers are registered) and all he had me do is check the connector which had the ground wire come loose.
  21. Because he is a muslim and we don't want to disparage him.
  22. Not so, spray lube works great for rifle cases (bottle neck).  I place a few in a baggy and give it a spray or two and roll them around, after sizing or forming I place them back in the tumbler.
  23. I have such a supply of lubes, cleaners and protectants that I rarely use any for other than their intended purpose unless that is all I have in the range box. I of course would try some of these products for things they are not intended for if I don't have something specific for that purpose. Use it, but keep an eye on it to see how it does against rust and metal wear.
  24. In my searches I have found that Clarksville only has a noise ordinance: ordinance 10-2012-13, while Montgomery County has codes related to discharging firearms in parks and other codes which have been proposed having to do with range operations.  While I don't think there would be any issue using your air rifle in your back yard, it would not hurt calling the Sheriffs dept and/or Clarksville PD to be totally legal.
  25. Clarksville has some large tracts of land that I have been told are legal to hunt, rifle and all. But I have not seen anything in writing, I have, allegedly, used my pellet rifle in my back yard and it's not even an acre. Edit: speeling
