  1. Don't like it, there is a bunch of wasted real-estate.
  2. True, sort of, while a stamped deck does have good, possible better, airflow, most fabricated (welded) decks are just fine specially since most if not all have round baffles underneath to direct the airflow and increase suction. My Kubota tractor's deck spits out grass very forcibly, and if the guard is lifted can chuck a rock quite a distance. But the best feature of a fabricated deck is what you mentioned, the gauge of the steel, which will pay dividends down the road when you bump it against a tree or other hard object and it bounces vs fold in on itself like my JD's deck did.
  3. All I am going to say is get a welded deck vs stamped, you will thank me later for it.
  4. Yea, I am set, but I have a friend that got a new 270, on my recommendation. Had to have him buy two boxes of 308 to trade me for 270s. I have plenty of both but I didn't want to sell, and cheat one or the other so figured a trade was better. Got a 6.5 CM right before SHTF with these prices and shortages so have enough for working up a good load and have enough left over for 100 or so hunting rounds. The issue is I don't have any H4350, so will have to settle with A4350, but you have to use what you can get.
  5. You should try looking for .270
  6. Umm, I would think that proves it's not popular, don't even bother to stock it.
  7. I have plenty of gloves but wanted to say good on you for putting these up.
  8. I have two new ones, but they have serrated blades. I have a third used one, which could have used a new blade, I would have payed for the non serrated version but they said no blades left of either one.
  9. I would have told him to "walk the line"
  10. No, don't recall that, but I do recall him taking advantage of the price war to refill the depleted Strategic Petroleum Reserve with American crude. https://www.energy.gov/articles/department-energy-executes-direction-president-trump-announces-solicitation-purchase-crude
  11. Get a squirrelinator, darn thing works good, removed about 20 of them from my yard with it. https://www.ruralking.com/squirrelinator-trap-only
  12. What are your comm needs? Peltors if you need to tie into a radio, Howard Leights if you are just needing to hear instructions or plug into a phone.
  13. I still see people driving alone with a mask on, you think they will overcome the fear of nuke power plants to get behind building one near them?

    Safety

Truth of the matter is that your house should be hard to get into quietly, if you are a hard sleeper then an alarm should be installed to wake you up. Most dogs are good at making a racket too, and have great instincts to know when something isn't right. But sometimes we take our safety for granted, thinking that all the safeguards we put in place are enough, but as this case shows, it isn't all that hard for a determined individual to get in if they really want to. In the end it is up to the homeowner to be the line in the sand, because once someone has it in their head to get into a home, all bets are off.
  15. Nope, message says multiple but only references the one as shown.
  16. Yes, I did, I sent the response.
  17. In what range are you looking to stay in? As has been stated, there are a few out there but they are pricey.
  18. And who would make that determination? Where is the cutoff, 5.5", 6.5" 8"? It is so arbitrary that they could deem any tube in your possession an unlicensed NFA item if they so chose to.
  19. So, according to the ATF, every scrap piece of pipe is now a silencer? They have some very ignorant people working there at the ATF.
  20. That should be fine, they both offer protection against corrosion, so should be ok.
  21. I can use some, I am fixing to erect a metal legged deer stand.
  22. It was announced that Gordon has passed away, may he RIP. If you were curious about it and haven't downloaded the software, now may be a good time as it's future is uncertain. 23. Back in the late 80s, my kids were getting old enough to understand so decided on planning a range day. Ended up with a mess of kids, and parents, and we all had a great time. I started with a safety brief, and showed them what each weapon could do to a milk jug full of Kool-Aid, cherry, to impress upon them the gravity of the safety lesson. Then rotated them through various different firearms, mostly .22, but had a 12g, 30-30 and a .270 for the older ones. I still do that, and my youngest is over 30, but when friends want to introduce their kids to guns we head out to my land and shoot. So far, I never had any friends or acquaintances that have been anti-gun, some didn't care for them, but didn't care if you did, and after getting to shoot, they were at least less apprehensive about them.
  24. I had received some gun parts that were labeled adult sig required, I was home and happened to catch the guy as he was leaving. I asked about the sig, and he said due to the CCP virus they could sign their little machine for us. In my case I didn't much care, because I'm on a busy road and have cameras, but felt it wasn't right for them to just leave a package like that.
  25. No not a federal fee, it goes to the agency performing the BG check, but it's the feds making you pay that.
