I've had mine for over 25 years with hundreds of reloads (cast) through it as well as hundreds of factory rounds with no issues. I never had an AD, never had any issues that were the fault of the gun. It was on recall so I sent it back to Glock and they replaced most of it except the receiver and barrel but I never experienced any issues before that and I took it through it paces even dropping it a few times. If you are truly worried, get an after marker barrel for it that has a supported chamber which some say is the source of the issues and gives you that Glock "Smile".

No doubt, but these will put steel on target the same as a billet one piece assembly. If you are wanting a one piece, then yes you are going to pay for the extra machining and extra material; but its money which you don't NEED to spend. While PSA may not be seen as high end, I dare say that their assemblies and those of many other so called low-end companies will get the job done so the comparison stands. I have PSA lowers which I would put up against any lower out there at the range, I don't have an upper, but that's only because I already had other brands before I found PSA but would get one in a heartbeat if I wanted another. Their cold forged barrels are sure tempting and may entertain them for an AR10 build in the future.

Not LE, but do know that roads do get speed limits set as you say, but also for other things that have been studied many times over. The Feds have actually done many studies and have published guidelines for things such as curves, road width and other environmental concerns such as deer crossings. http://safety.fhwa.dot.gov/speedmgt/ref_mats/fhwasa12004/ I don't doubt the fact that they need to get to a scene as soon as they possibly can, but you must also get there safely for it does no good to anyone if you don't arrive. And as JohnC has stated, they could of pulled back and let her slow down to keep her from endangering those around her. Not sure of this PD, but most have a protocol that determines when to get involved in a high speed pursuit and when they are allowed to exceed the speed limit to respond to a call. I hope I am not coming off as that I am defending the drunk, or condemning LE but I feel that it has to be dealt with fairly no matter the crime.

It is when you can get a barreled upper for less: http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/barreled-upper-assemblies.html http://www.midwayusa.com/find?dimensionids=17129 http://www.surplusammo.com/300-blk/ etc, etc. Personally, I would rather have the option of replacing a handguard if I get tired of it or damage it somehow. And I am not sold on the looks or keymod feature so there is that too. But I am also a cheapa$$ and look for the cheapest way of getting a build done so this would blow my budget for any build right off the bat.

You're right, the pic looked like there was a seam there.

Looks like a removable "cap" right after the anti-cant device, see the two screws on the side. Seems an extreme way to make sure the rails are on the same plane.

Most roads have had some sort of study to determine safe speeds for that particular road. That is why there are reduced speed signs at curves and single or double center lines in the middle for passing. Most of these speeds can be safely exceeded with a vehicle that is in top mechanical condition but many times the road conditions make it so that one must actually reduce posted speeds. Bald tires, bad shocks, rain, road debris, deer or other animals often cause crashes on roads that are already dangerous; which this road qualified. As for charges, as stated he was not actually involved in the chase. I would agree if he was the actual pursuing officer, but in this case it may just be that he exceeded his skills and the vehicle's capabilities; a tragedy nonetheless.
-
According to reports, the officer was not actively in pursuit. He was on his way to backup the other officer in pursuit. Since this is a one car incident, I suspect he lost control of his car when he exceeded the safe speed limit for the road he was on. Though I too feel she should get prosecuted for the DUI and evasion, his death should not be used as a mitigating factor in sentencing. Edit: speeling

Though I carry nothing in the buttstock, the provided letter should suffice. You can write the ATF for a personal response but IMHO it is a waste of everyone's time to do so since this has been rehashed quite often.

Yea, but I bet that changes soon!

That's how the rotation goes, what ever weapon I take to the range and/or carry that week becomes my bedside gun. So calibers vary but every one of them always has a full mag, and have been recently tuned in.

These two are the ones on this rotation, a 92F and an XDM .40.

A reminder to you Reloaders pay attention and be safe

Amazing what a few cents worth of powder can do. -
Yea, I liked that when I was stationed at Hunter Army Airfield, it made having a permit easy to justify, cost wise.
-
I would like to have a law passed that would make CCW permit holders exempt from background checks (NICS) since the permit already verifies that we are able to own a firearm. Since the NICS is only supposed to be a verification of legality to own and no other purpose, then a CCW permit makes it obsolete. Thoughts?

Why Are 22 Suppressors So Expensive?
Omega replied to lshel's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
^^This If the silencer where to only be say $50, would you really stand to pay a $200 tax for it? Back in the 80's you could buy the components to make a silencer for a .22 for around $20-$40 at many gunshows. It was all aluminum with rubber washers and was quite easily made (still is) with a lathe. Tech is much better now, and components a bit more expensive but still cheaper than the price tag you see, so no, they should not be that expensive if left to market fluctuations. -
I don't know her, and honestly don't care what her final decision turns out to be. I don't even care if this whole thing turns out to be a complete hoax; I am just glad it has shown a spotlight on the issue. We as a society need to have this discussion and discussions like this to move these issues into light. We for far too long have made decisions as a society that belong to only the individual. And yes, that includes things like abortions. Though I am against it unless its a case of incest or rape, I have no business pushing my beliefs on others. And the more I interact with our broken society, the more I come to believe more should of been aborted before they became the menace that they have become.

Cadiz, KY. Triple homicide, survivor "turned the table" on assassin
Omega replied to fourteentwo's topic in General Chat
Looks like we nailed it. -
There should be no issue as long as she has no "possession" of the firearm, so one must be careful not to store said firearm in a vehicle she drives or maybe even a room she may solely occupy. Maybe a lockbox that only he has the key or combo for.

Though I will fight with all my strength to beat any condition set upon me I feel its a personal choice that should be respected if you wish to end it. I could understand wanting to counsel those who are depressed, or even mad at the world, from wanting to commit suicide, but a terminally ill patient that has already put their affairs in order and has nothing but pain to look forward to has the absolute right to choose to not to go through that. To me, its not a selfish act; its a selfish act to want to make someone go through all that because of your beliefs or to delay the inevitable so as not to want to go through the loss.

Got an email from Lisa Knight this morning

Again, I would rather have my money used in this manner than just wasted. Though I too would rather have constitutional carry, I know that the US will most likely never go that way in its entirety so a CCW permit will be in my future for life. As far as how employees are compensated, I don't see an issue with it; I would not do volunteer work for my employer, its my job, not my hobby. If I were to run a booth for say, TGO, then yes volunteers are necessary. But running a booth for your job should be on the clock in one way or another.
