Bound to happen, I would be hard pressed to stay in that crowd too seeing what they did in ferguson.

Go with the 10/22, but chances are once your wife gets her hands on it you'll end up looking for another or with the Marlin.

I work at Ft Campbell so I dont carry there obviously, but do carry whenever I can. Even when I am hunting I carry since I can defend myself easier with my HG, than with my bolt action. I think the option of "when I can" would suit me better.

I don't know, still doesn't say you must keep one on your person. The log replaced temp tags, which if I am not mistaken didn't have to be kept on your person once used. Since I hunt my own land, and have a lifetime license, I only had to take it in to a check station or use the internet without a temp tag. Now with the app, you should not need the log or temp tags. I wonder if the twra guy was my "buddy" who ticketed me for no blaze orange even though on my land none is needed.

You catch a name of the twra agent?

There should of been a recourse, the gun should of been sent back to Glock and the ammo mfg should of been notified. One or the other would of made it right. I have only had one squib, but that was with a reload. Used a cleaning rod to clear it, and continued with the rest. Never had an issue since.

I have a collection of calls, bleat, grunt etc. Also have a bunch of scents of one kind or another that I have had in my hunting bags for a bit (should clean out) but here is the only thing that I can verify; fawn bleat, brings them does in many times. Grunts, hit and miss, many a stomping and grunting deer just out of sight while some just rush in. As for scents, honestly cover scents are the only thing that I have any real confidence in. I wash my cloths in scent free soap, and use scent free deodorant but it only goes so far. Racoon scent on the boots help with the trail in and while in a tree stand.

I just got a hybrid holster from a local guy I seen advertise on Campbell Yardsales, BHO Holsters. I went to their workshop and he let me try on the holster to see if it would work for me, then built mine as I waited. I opted for the leather lined kydex which cost me $65 and I must say its comfortable and much better looking than the crossbreed with thicker leather and kydex. I had it made for my xd-40 sub, but I may go back and get one for my G23 too. Now for a good belt.

No, I would not give it a second thought during an SD situation. The only thing I worry about during those events is placing all my shots on the target and not getting any new holes.

Well yea, no matter what the lawyers and the court wins. But what about the defendant, it takes quite a bit of money to defend yourself against BS charges and many times you're just SOL win or loose. I spent quite a bit to just have the Judge say "Guilty" in less than a minute, and it seems that everyone I tell the story to knows exactly who I am talking about (game warden, which probably puts a name in many of your heads too) so he has a rep for charging people with BS but the system allows it.

I got pulled over yesterday in Oak grove KY, had a headlight out so he pulled me over to let me know. Didn't ask for anything, first thing he said is "First let me say you did nothing wrong" and commenced to let me know about the light and that I may consider changing my plate frame because he could not tell what kind of plate it was. He even suggested that if I tap on the light it may come back on (it did). He probably ran my plate just in case but had no reason to do anymore than that and it probably showed him that I had a CCW.

What's the price point? I got a NiB BCG from PSA (2 actually) for about $120.which is not bad at all considering a standard one is about $100 from them. But if you already have a non coated one, something like this would make sense if its not too expensive.

That is why the saying goes "I would rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6" is so relevant. Sometimes even if you are justified, any police officer can arrest you and the DA can charge you and make you prove your innocence. But even with all that, its better than loosing the fight. You know, I think the law needs to be amended in some way to make frivolous lawsuits a bit more painful for those that seem to always be filing them. A defendant can go broke defending against a BS lawsuit, the filer should be made to pay court costs and any fees associated with a successful defense of such a suit. And that would include some of these suits brought on by criminals and their families against their victims when the criminal gets hurt during the criminal act.

Primitive Season Instead of Muzzleloader Season
Omega replied to 300winmag's topic in Hunting and Fishing
I don't know, seems that there is room for improvement to me. Deer are plentiful, maybe even overly so. I have never seen so many deer run over as I have here. I think seasons are good as they are right now, but the licensing could be more streamlined; one price for any weapon seems would be better. Most places I have hunted had a tiered licence, fishing, hunting, combo, and sportsmans with everything included. When I didn't have my lifetime, I skipped seasons since I was never sure I would be able to partake of any particular season. If I could of bought a sportsman, I would have right in the beginning since chances were that I could do one or the other. -
300 BO pistol build. Suppressor?
Omega replied to Wingshooter's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Not sure about this place, but some ranges put those up to keep people from shooting over the berms. Dolo: Include me in to the conversation as well. I have some info but can always use more. -
Sure keeps ambidextrous folks from fully being able to use their guns properly.

Your in luck, they have it. Green Mountain Coffee gave us a bunch of French Vanilla Iced Coffee k-cups, you're supposed to brew them over ice but its not my thing so I used them hot.

I personally have no problems risking my life on any of the weapons I own whether its my Sprinfield, Kimber Classic, or Glock (all lower end for the brand). Heck, I had to risk it on equipment supplied by the lowest bidder for 21 years, and luckily it all went bang when it needed to. To me it really is a matter of choice on what you want to spend and then its a matter of getting one that does not turn out to be a lemon. I have had identical guns shoot much differently so its not even a brand issue. Though I personally would not buy a hi-point, I have fired them, they go bang and hit a torso at engagement range; just don't like the looks, but heck I don't like the Glock 19 either. But I am a cheap bastard, I would never pay over 1K for a gun when a 400 to 600 one will do the same thing, which goes for scopes, cars, trucks and any other thing that gets over priced because of the brand label on it.
-
Was always told I had to have it on hand, but have never been asked for it; just license and Id card.
-
Ha, no I misspell it all the time so didn't even notice.

I also think the 3G is overrated, wifi is everywhere so pretty much useless and with my Samsung phone's ability to make a hotspot well that does it for me.
-
Yup,it is a great gun, and once you get used to its top heaviness it balances well. I contemplated getting a G19 but just don't like the looks so went with the Browning which turned out to be a tack driver. Once we adopted the Beretta, I got one to keep my proficiency up since in my unit we didn't get much handgun ammo or range time at that. I would run a box each in my Browning and Beretta everyday at lunch time at McKellers Lodge in Ft Bragg.

Hundreds of rounds through my personal one with little to no issues and many times that with my Mil one with the same results. Its a very dependable gun, but its large frame keeps it from being my EDC. Since its a DA, it has an edge on my Browning Hi-Power but I like how my Browning shoots better. If you get a good deal on one you can't go wrong with it, many mags and holsters cheaply available and many parts too if needed. I too like my Glock but its a .40 G23, not a big fan of the G19.

My PSA pistol lower came with that tube, it is oversize but I dont think it was meant for anything to be placed on it except maybe one of those foam covers. I like the looks of it as is but went ahead and put the brace on it, its a snug fit and stays put when firing.
-
Ok, I got it. I've done that but never heard it called a plunk test. When loading cast bullets I get that bulge but no issues firing it.
