Harbor Freight has it, http://www.harborfreight.com/bead-breaker-92961.html I take mine to the auto craft place on post so don't need this for big tires, but it would be handy to have for farm use or those that don't have access to craft places.

I got this little gem to put inner tubes in the tires on my JD lawn tractor: http://www.harborfreight.com/mini-tire-changer-61179.html. It works great for smaller tires, they have one for full size tires for the same price. A tire iron comes in handy with this: http://www.harborfreight.com/24-inch-general-purpose-tire-iron-93230.html.

The only downside is using 30 round mags. I got 20 round mags for it and it works good, but I seldom use it for ARs, only my 303, 30-06 and etc. I can shoot them without but after a couple of boxes, my shoulder knows I have been shooting them.

Just wanted to pass this along for those that develop your own loads: http://clarksville.craigslist.org/spo/4862811024.html I have the same exact one, after laser bore sighting I have been known to dial in a zero after only a couple of rounds usually no more than five. This coupled with some weighted bags makes shooting some of the big bores a breeze, it takes a lot of the human element out of bench shooting so you can zero in your rifle and eliminate any pulls. I bought mine for over $100, and BTW I am in no way affiliated with this add .

Shooting in enclosed spaces and hearing damage.
Omega replied to suspiciousmind's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I think your body has many self defense capabilities, like when people can do great feats of strength like lifting cars off people. Or when badly injured, the pain shuts off or knocks you out to keep from feeling the pain. I have broken my leg a couple of times, and one was the femur. While I can tell you there was pain, at first I could not feel it as long as I was still (jarring still hurt); it was not until many hours later that the full throbbing pain began. Some say that they forget traumatic events, or at least they are fuzzy. It may be just another way of your body protecting itself. -
Shooting in enclosed spaces and hearing damage.
Omega replied to suspiciousmind's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I can tell you that shooting from an AR from a truck had no ringing effect that I noticed and I went through a few mags worth. It doesn't mean that no damage is occurring though, I am sure your ears still get the full effect. I tried to keep my Peltors on as much as possible but sometimes I was just not able to. The only time I remember actually getting ringing is when mortars or other like projectiles exploded near enough to feel the concussion. But it went away quickly enough and according to VA nothing permanent happened :ugh: -
I had texas pete, and good coffee sent in along with "lickies & chewies". But really, anything you send will be well received.

That's exactly why I chose my .270, its flat shooting and I can take it hunting in any state. Though most of my shots are 100 yards or less, its nice to know that I can reach out further with little hold over. I know what you mean, but many of these magnums are not really that flat shooting so it defeats the purpose.

I'd be up for casa blanca, it has good food and a good atmosphere.

I use mostly lee dies, never had an issue with them that didn't come from not setting them properly. They may be cheap in price, but their quality is right up there with the other brands IMHO. All my pistol dies I try to get in carbide, since most straight walled cases don't need to be lubed. I know many who really dislike lee equipment because its cheap. They just can't reconcile the fact that cheap in price does not mean junk. Lee does have some equipment that leaves something to be desired, but everything in their anniversary kit does work. And if anyone tells you you will save money by reloading, they are only fooling themselves. It's expensive to get started and will take a lot of shooting to break even. So by starting with these machines that cost upwards of $500 you are just making it all that much difficult to catch up. I am not one of those shooters that shoots thousands of rounds a month so if you are then maybe you will break even much faster but I did go through thousands of rounds using my Lee single stage before I upgraded to my Lee turret press. Now if you find one of those expensive presses at a good price go for it, they are definitely good presses but that does not mean Lee presses are trash.

I would just get the Lee turret press kit, it has everything except the dies and consumables for just $200 at Midsouth: https://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/item/0000690304/Classic_Turret_Press_Kit_ You can use it as a single stage or allow it to index for a semi progressive press once you get comfortable with the process.

New Twist in the SIG Brace Debate
Omega replied to btq96r's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Well hell, if thats all it takes. I suggest every gun owner write a letter to TPTB of the legality of the GCA so they can change their mind. -
While it is true that not all muslims are extremists, enough are. Just as not all Christians actually joined the crusades and not all Germans killed jews some muslims will not chop off your head. But again, there are enough extremists in those groups to be wary of them when you fit the profile of the ones they want to kill. Right now it sucks to be a peaceful muslim, as I am sure those non extremists in the above groups felt the same way. As then, if you are against the actions that "your" group is doing then its up to you to stand up against it.

Legal for Me to Carry on the Property of a Felon?
Omega replied to luvmyberetta's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I believe so, he is not to be in possession of a weapon not you. Some discussion awhile back about a felon living with someone with a weapon leaned toward it being legal. -
Great news on the stints, I gather you will not need them? Wish you well on your surgery, and hope you get up on your feet soon.
-
Well, maybe. Some pistols will accept conicals while others can't due to length ie weight, of the bullet and space between cylinder and forcing cone. Do a search with your model and see if any out there are using a conical and what they are loading it with. I am looking to try and PC mine to see if i can do away with the patch. If you cast your own get a Lee double mold with RB and conical, so you can try and throw a RB or conical that both will like.

I don't think the word operated will be an issue; if they are at a park, they are not operating the park, just using it. If they are using a Bldg, they should not be considered to "operate" the building unless its a concession stand. Now if they lease a building, then at least I would consider them operating the building and act accordingly. So if they are at an event center, the center, if not posted, would be clear to carry, just not into the room they happen to be operating in at the time.

But, but..Its got punisher stickers! Surely worth a measly Kimber, no?

I'd be up for a M&G, how about choosing a vet owned business though, there are quite a few coffee houses, lounges and eateries that qualify.

I refuse to see anything with her in it. I have no issues with those who opposed the war, but she crossed the line into giving aid and comfort to the enemy. That can't be forgiven.

Take your vehicle to auto zone or advance auto, they will test your battery for free and even your charging system. I haven't had any bad luck with batteries, most have given me quite a few years of service. I got a red-top for my jeep because it also drained batteries, never found the drain so I used a battery disconnect, but the battery held up fine to a few deep drains where I had to jump start it. Most times I get a walmart battery, most of them are made by the same manufacturer, so price is the only difference between same class batteries.

You can use it but it will leave lead in your barrel. My advice is to use a patch with a starter like this one: http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/t-c-arms-range-rod-combo-kit?a=275582. They are also available at some Wal-Marts. You would be better off using a sabot bullet though, or Minié ball (conical bullet), for better distance and accuracy.
