  1. I have a set of these, maybe different model but I reviewed it here:   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/84638-product-review-electronic-ear-muffs/?hl=%2Bhoward+%2Bleight
  2. You bring up a valid point, when I conceal carry there are pants, and shirts, that just do not work well.  Even with looser fitting pants I have to let out a couple notches on my belt and wear longer loose fitting shirts.
  3. Yea, but do the same for US cities.  State stats do little to give you the scope of the problems you outlined.
  4. The point is that he didn't need to take a political stance at all, just give condolences. Specially due to the fact that he just bold a$$ lies to the lemmings.
  5. I get the American Hunter mag as a digital issue, and signed up for the emails which vary but most have gun reviews, sporting news and yes, many political columns.  You can change what mag you get also, so try which ever sparks your interest then switch to see which one you prefer.
  6. I have a myriad of lights, most surefire and never an issue with any of them.  I never needed customer service so I don't know about that part but the lights themselves have been great.  The led versions I have work decent but the ones with xenon bulbs are brighter, but of course eat batteries.
  7.     +1 on the 16" that way you can use a regular stock on it.  And if you mean 16" vs a shorter barrel then as Lumber_Jack stated their is only a negligible difference in supers between the two; the hog won't be able to tell the difference I assure you.
  8. I can see them recouping all their costs for the NICS, and a maybe a $20 fee on top of it for their work but $70 is ridiculous.
  9. I have both a 16" DPMS, and a 10.5 Spikes and at 100 yards I can't really find a difference in them with supers.
  10. 300Blk has been used successfully on hogs for years, even suppressed, but you must have good shot placement and a good round.  Take both, if 300Blk don't give you DRT hits, then switch it up.
  11. 1st part No, once a rifle always a rifle unless you SBR. 2nd part, Yes if you have no rifle uppers but a stocked lower then you are in legal violation. Yes, as long as you have both a pistol and rifle upper.  Just make sure you change it back to pistol before attaching a pistol upper.
  12. While this is "legally" true, I believe perception plays a big part in it too.  While there are no ATF types out there looking for any markings, if a lower has "Pistol" factory or professionally marked on it, the layman will rarely question it, same goes for "Auto".  And its usually some overzealous RSO or shooter that gets the ball rolling into an investigation. If you go to a range with a lower marked  "Auto" and some RSO sees that, I can bet he will say something and either not let you shoot (if the range does not allow that) or make you prove that it doesn't go full auto.
  13. Too easy, first you show him that there is no stock attached to it and then that the barrel is under 16".  If he has any further doubts, then the rest of it is up to them to prove.
  14. When I first started reloading in the mid 80's, I never heard of this so I reloaded for my G23, even with (gasp) lead bullets.  I never had any issues with any of my rounds once I got the OAL correct.  The trick is to cull any cases that have any issues, smiles, cracks or bad bulges.
  15. That sucks, hope they catch the bastards. Did they target the gun or just part of a general vehicle break-in?
  16. I stopped actively caching a long time ago. I still maintain mine, but rarely go out anymore.  I got bored with all the lamp post caches and tossed in a bush caches.  Every now and then I will lookup an earth cache or two or an interesting one I hear about but that's mostly it.
  17. Omega

    Ginseng

So what's so special about it?  Is it that expensive, that effective or just another plant that is full of hype?  I can't imagine that if I have such plants on my property I can't harvest them when I want.  It's like telling me I can't pick my jalapenos.
  18. I geocache as well (O-mega there), and while I don't have a cache on my property I have been to many on private property (residence). On the cache page there are instructions on how and when to approach, and many of them set hours. After playing for a bit, you can tell when someone is seeking a cache or when it's a non-cacher, (muggle). I also carry when I cache, not because of caching but because I mostly always carry. New players make unwise decisions and have caused problems which have had LEO get involved but its always been a matter of someone not following the guidelines.
  19. I use Tapatalk to post photos to eliminate having a dedicated photo hosting account.  It works good and the pictures are not blocked at work.
  20. Sharp finger is my favorite, older ones are better but the new ones are not too bad.  I do all my field dressing with that and a cheap gut hook knife with a fat curved blade.
  21. I don't doubt that it's a simple formula, possibility a repackaged product used for a different purpose.  Things like this have been alluded to before, in bullet casting a popular sprue plate lube is said by some to be nothing more than repackaged synthetic oil.  But the die hards refuse to even entertain the thought, maybe because they don't want to believe they have been duped.  I think the same thing will occur here.
  22. ^^^^ This.  Just see if there is a local member that would allow you to use their shop to give it a once over.  If you are unsure about the whole disassembly part, then even better to get with someone to help walk you through it.  Once you give it a good scrub down, most you would NEED to do is run a rod down the barrel and put a few drops of lube on the moving parts, which you can do anywhere.
  23. Sometimes its hard to know when to use more stick and less carrot. But either way a little respect for each other goes a long way, if it gets to the point a MOD needs to get involved then its usually the stick.
  24. Karate! And a small Tori.
