My first gun at my first duty station was a Browning HP, had it until my third duty station in GA, where I purchased my second. The second was even more of a tack driver so sold the first. It's been awhile since I fired it, my Berretta 92 has been getting all the love since it was my backup most times I deployed and I wanted to be as proficient with it as possible. If I remember correctly, it's labeled "made in Belgium", and the mag safety is either disabled or not there. So that and the fact that it shot better made the decision on which to keep easier.

Let me check both in my pistol, I may of dropped the shorter one and not the longer one in my spare barrel. OK, tried it in both my pistol and my rifle and both rounds chamber and eject fine. There were slight land marks just before the ogive but just slight, no sign it was forced in. Maybe a chamber cast is in order to see if you have a short throat or tight chamber.

Had a good time too, even with my lead sled I can feel the effects from over 50 rounds of .308. Don't be in a rush to dump the GEMTECH, just dropped it into the gauge and it dropped on in with no issues. Fixing to measure the OAL to see what that gives. Gauge: OAL: Looks like it may a combination of OAL and maybe your chamber, it dropped right into my spare barrel.

Yea, there are many ways to cut them, I started that way but ended up getting the HB saw and jig for the speed and accuracy of things.  I had a setup to cut aluminum arrows which would of worked great but I gave it to a friend when I went with carbon, though I still have a left handed PSE Fire Flight that uses aluminum but may get rid of that too.  The HB saw is used for arrows as well so I suppose I can get a jig for that too and do arrows with it, win-win.

How many are you looking for? It may be something you can easily do yourself if you expect to reload often. I converted 1k, and getting ready to convert more soon just to have extra on hand.

I doubt it's illegal, but it can definitely get you in hot water if something happens to the buyer if they are not notified (I see you did).  If you sell it as is, I would do a bill of sale and make sure they initial where you told them the safety does not work.  Broken things are sold all the time, yes even cars with no brakes, broken trans, motors etc.  You just have to notify the buyer what issues you KNOW about to at least have a defense if not to keep you out of court.  If I buy or sell something with something broken, I make sure the price reflects that either partially or in total depending on what is broken. 

I am always vigilant, whether at a theater, pumping gas, or whatever.  Body language should let you know if they are up to no-good, but before calling anyone or acting in an aggressive manner I would make sure there was a danger to me or others.  They may be just smoking or letting others in, in which case it's the theaters problem not mine.  I don't have the time or inclination to be a "goody two shoes" for a commercial enterprise, if they do not alarm the doors and people are sneaking in its something they need to address.  Though there is always a chance of something happening, it's a very slight chance and nothing to get worried over. 

I would not risk putting someone down there, specially when you can do it at a distance.  Molotov cocktails anyone?   BTW, anyone notice the faster walkers?  Makes you wonder if they will start making them a bit more dangerous.  

I haven't seen anything referencing what the charge was; but even so it changes my opinion very little if at all.  Unless the crime was against the spouse or the children I don't see it as a problem.  When you get married, you do it for better or for worse; but I guess some don't take that as seriously anymore.

Yea, I thought that luring them away from a relatively good entrapment was stupid.  I would of just reinforced the road blocks and then used the pit as target practice for those inside the compound that needed training.  Even though the truck slid off the side, making noise on the opposite end of the quarry would of given them enough time to block it again, and better.  But I guess this gives them more of an opportunity to advance the story line, hope it gets better. 

No, not ballistics; they trace the guns serial number.  It really is quick, at least if the gun was purchased through FFLs.  Ballistically speaking, many weapons can't be traced back to original owners, only connected to other cases or if they have the weapon then maybe to the last FFL purchase and only if the barrel has not been changed since then.

Due to the fact that Military 7.62x51, NATO, is lower in pressure than commercial .308 you will have no problem using it in any .308 rifle. It's when you go into Military rifles chambered for the 7.62x51 that you may, and that's a big may, have problems. I have not noticed any performance issues with NATO ammunition, that is as long as you are not expecting sub MOA performance out of it. Many NATO rounds are probably 1.5 minimum MOA (most 3-4 MOA), add any MOA added by the weapons system and you can have a lot of slop. But even then, you can put a round in an 8" circle at a considerable distance so nothing to worry about. If you ever get into long range competitions, you will probably be reloading by then so you will make sub MOA ammo and have a better rifle as well.

I still like the Remington 700 in .308, it has been a great rifle for years. And though it has had some recalls for the trigger, most really didn't need it (could be it's own thread). I sent mine in, it was just to clean the trigger and lock tite the screws. While I like my ARs, and liked building them, once built if I want something different I built something else. Even lowers get their own uppers, I just can't swap pieces around, though that is what I intended in the first place. And that's just two pins, add much more than that and I am building a new gun. For true SHTF scenarios, I will stick to the AR in 5.56. I will not go with the 300Blk, though I love this round. But you have to tinker with it too much once you run out of ammo, and chances of finding this "in the wild" will be a rarity. Now for car carry in pistol it can't be beat. As far as shortages, even in the worst of times I could always find 5.56 and .308 as well as 7.62x39. As long as you stay with current military rounds there will be availability.

"Accidents" are just misnamed negligent incidents.  As far as financial crimes go, writing bad checks can land you in jail.  I certainly don't think we're talking of Madoff here.

Put it in a drill press, lock the buttstock in a padded vice and drill the stock and just a bit into the tube and see if after that it can wiggle out.  If he did a bad job its just into the hollow of the tube and not into the other side.

A child should have access to both parents unless one or both are abusing them. Life is about ups and downs, the sooner she learns that the better. Besides, it's not like she is an axe murderer, she screwed up and is receiving the consequences; a good lesson me thinks.

This has been discussed before, I think the consensus was that it would be OK. She, if a felon, just can't possess it. So keep it on you or lock it away if you leave it behind. Edit: what he said☺

Well, plus me up here. I usually get my shot but there have been years that I skipped, not on purpose just overlooked it. I get my shots free but civies get theirs after the active duty guys, so it should be soon.

I may be biased by the experience I had with a 30-30 but there is no way I can recommend a 30-30 for shots beyond 100 yards; the drop on that thing is horrendous.  If hunting in the brush then maybe because that 30 cal will punch through most greenery but in the open, I would rather have something better.  The 6.8 is a nice round, but a .270 is better IMHO, just more rounds available for it commercially.   I almost bought one because the had a nice upper for cheap, but then looked up the facts and decided against it.  Mainly due to the fact that you needed a special BCG and mags; researching that caliber is what got me into the 300Blk.
