  1. Before I buy a product I look for reviews to see what others think of it.  Some sites are better than others, but some reviews seem to be from users that either complain about pidly stuff to others that just seem to be in cahoots with the sellers.  I was wondering if there could be a dedicated section for product or service reviews?  I think I would trust locals better, and you could also post or pm questions not covered or unclear to the OP.
  2. One year I took the kids and MIL to Sukchon DZ on Ft Campbell, to watch the Leonid meteor shower, great view with not much light out.  Got to see many small ones and a couple that really lit the sky up.
  3. So would one that shed both get logged in as a button buck?  How else do you report one like that?
  4. I just can't justify the cost.  I don't really experiment outside published reliable recipes though so never needed to ask "what if".  I think if you work wildcats or non published powders then it may be worth it, but just not for me.
  5. Combine some, or introduce them again one day when she is just out of the bath so the only product on her is the baby soap.
  6. I didn't realize I had you blocked until I couldn't see your post    Edit: for some reason sometimes my text jumps to the quoted area when I am answering posts...must be a chrome/tablet thing.  I fixed it.
  7. I hardly ever ate my MRE on night jumps (always started way too early so we missed lunch and dinner), so I saved them and would give them to the kids.  They loved the  crackers w/peanut butter or the cheese, and the dehydrated strawberries or fruit.  They still talk about it and my youngest is almost 29.
  8. I seldom block anyone to avoid their posts, the quotes always come through and I haven't had anyone pi$$ me off enough to completely block them.  I do use it as a tool though, on here and another site I regularly visit I block some because their posts are way to verbose and after reading it once...if at all, it takes too long to scroll up or down through them on following visits.  And when someone has been particularly rude to me, I block them to mark them as someone to avoid, because I don't remember them any other way.
  9. Yea, I agree with Erik88, its something like the baby lotion or powder etc.  Try having your dog smell products one at a time spaced out a few minutes apart to see if there is any reaction, if not combine two products at a time and repeat.  I highly doubt their is a human allergic reaction going on.

    We Be Stupid

It would impress me more if she would of came up with it herself instead of proded by these bleeding heart liberals pushing global warm...I mean climate change.
  11. I have a Glock 23 and an XDS in .40, both shoot well.  I must of gotten real used to shooting them because they don't seem snappy to me but my wife limp wrists my Glock and caused jams but not with my 9s.
  12. You won't lose weight this way, did you read the calorie count? When I went to Sapper school, we had two MREs per day for about three weeks or so. Even with all the vigorous activity, I still didn't lose any weight and I didn't consume all the meal, we cannibalized the MREs because we had to carry them all in our packs. Now, if you want to loose weight the army's way, go to SERE school. Waste of money if you ask me, there are tons of opportunity's to study service members, just send the scientists to the field with one of the units in the 101st or 82nd, then they can study the morale side of eating MREs for too long.
  13. Mine is an API Grand Slam, its is well build and comfortable through a bit on the heavy side.  I no longer use it though since now I hunt on my own property and have built a permanent stand.
  14. Traded for a new to me rifle with Chris, then went hunting and dropped another button buck right at 1700, my self imposed time to pack it up.  I can think of worse ways to spend my time this year.
  15. Ha, unintentional but yes they are quite the professionals, well most of them anyway.  Must stop posting while paying attention elsewhere, I was trying to hunt, spell check isn't everything.

  17. Meh, I think it should go to the Daisy Mae thread.
  18. Read, it thanks for sharing.  I left this comment:   Your grandfather was killed by one of his cows.  While I was not there, that "cow" could of very well come after you!  At the end of the day it's every officer's duty to make the best decision they can, but I hope these latest incidents doesn't lead more of you to make the decision based on them instead of your situation and training.
  19. Yea, try the gas rings and make sure you keep them lubed and the spaces rotated further apart; though you probably rotated them for the pic.  I run my ARs kinda wet unless I'm in a desert environment, seems to run better that way for me.
  20. Not every member needs a handgun.  In the last few years I carried one, but for a few occasion's I didn't need it.  I do think the military needs to train every service member to be proficient in all small arms though both gun and rifle, but funds would have to be set aside for that and that's doubtful.
  21. I compiled one of those and added a transparent layer for roads when I was into geocaching.  I have a Garmin gsx60 which is one of the best of the older models, but it has a great antenna and gives me coverage where others fail to pickup the satellite system.
  22. Quite Professionals.   Well, they do have Chuck Norris - Good Guys Wear Black and Blackhawk Down, but USASOC takes a low key approach.   Yes, many missions by the Tier 1 guys either never get coverage or credit is given to another unit to stay out of the news.  No Tier 1 units have been disbanded AFAIK, only redesignated when the media splashes their unit designation on too many stories. As to which service has the better teams; well that depends on the mission, but most teams can operate in each others battle space.  All services practice Air, Land and Sea operations, but Army-Navy are rivals of sorts, each call their new team members by their rival's designation.  Sure messed me up a few times as a loggie, didn't realize who I was supporting until they arrived sometimes.   Oh, and each service has a white (public) and black (classified) Special Operations or Forces, so Green Beret's, Seal Team etc., are used incorrectly most times.
  23. Try some of these, I put these on one of my pistols and they worked out better than I thought they would. They won't last forever, but do stay on there for a bit, and worth the price of under $20. http://www.nitesiters.com/Nitesiters_Handgun_Night_Sights.html Edit: forgot to mention, stick with green. It's brighter.
  24. I'm not familiar with the Vis 35, but it's similar to the hi-power so I wonder if it has a magazine disconnect like some flavors of the hi-power?
  25. Sometimes when the lips or the follower go bad from wear or if it's a junk mag, it will interfere with the round being extracted. Found this pic on the web which shows one way, which is to have the next round be pushed up and keep the round in the chamber, sometimes it's the follower that does the blocking:
