  1. Lol, that was my first thought when I seen the headline.
  2.       Ha, I got three of them for free with coupons.  Love them things.
  3. Ok, so these were once selective fire demilled AK 47s just missing the barrel, receiver and FA parts.  What parts make it FA, and is the receiver drilled differently between a FA and semi?  I now on an M4 there is an extra hole on the lower receiver, is there a difference in receivers on an AK?
  4. I've had great tools from HB as long as you know the limitations before you buy.  Related to guns, I have their mini chop saw to convert my 300Blk, their wet tumbler and vibratory tumbler as well.  I have assorted hand tools such as posthole digging bar and sockets for my impact wrenches.  I even bought an electric pole saw to trim my trees, works fine.  Their motors and steel are not the best but hold up long enough and priced low enough that when they do break you got your money out of them.  I guess the bottom line is, if you need a tool for a project and your livelihood does not depend on such a tool then they will do.
  5. Comms will like this Article, I like the comments:   http://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2016/2/26/keefe-report-seriously-is-the-40-sw-dead/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=insider&utm_campaign=0316   So what do you think, has 9mm really gotten that much better or are we just witnessing a budget driven choice?  I have carried a .40 almost since it's inception, done the whole wet phone book test (mid 80s) on it along with 9mm and .45 and just can't get past the fact that even though 9mm projectiles may of gotten better, the same can be said for the .40 and .45.  My decision to stay with a .40 for an EDC is simple, bigger bullet with a better mag capacity.
  6. Just seen this, what a bunch of losers! http://www.wideopenspaces.com/prototype-submachine-gun-stolen-right-off-table-great-american-outdoor-show/ https://youtu.be/HCuUXQPfsiQ Looked well rehearsed, must of had it all planned out. I thought they usually cabled and alarmed all the weapons? Bet they do now.
  7. Yup, must piss them off something awful to get wacked by a real infidel.
  8. At Halloween it would be ok, but probably not a good idea as presented;  it may be a good target if soaked in red cool aid or some such.  Good fodder for some slow-mo videos.
  9. I rightly could care less where any gun part is forged, cast or finished as long as it is well made.  I love my Belgium Browning HP, my Russian 7.62, and (insert country here) XDs; US made ARs, as well as all my other guns.  Its fine to want US made, but there are plenty of guns and other equipment that is made elsewhere that is very good quality, or good enough for the price.  As far as I know, guns have been made elsewhere for some time now, some going back to the civil war and probably further back if you care to look.
  10. Yea, many of them die more than once; and some over and over but are still here.http://www.rd.com/culture/celebrity-death-hoaxes/
  11. I don't know there seems to be quite a bit of evidence that it was started by rival gangs; even statements by gang members themselves.  As for rounding everyone up, with as much chaos there that day I can see it, but there should only be charges against those that actually had something to do with it.  A RICO charge, IMHO is not the right way to do it.  Check these series of videos, even if you ignore the reporting there can be cases made for at least manslaughter.  There is at least one death clearly shown, and a few long guns with what looked to be either an Mini14 or possibly a 10/22.   http://www.cnn.com/videos/us/2015/10/30/waco-biker-shooting-lavandera-pkg-erin.cnn/video/playlists/waco-texas-biker-gangs-shooting/   Do police sometimes over react?  Yes, undoubtedly; but to charge that 98% is stretching it a bit.  I would do backside support in small towns for our unit and would be there before and after the training mission.  I would hear all the "little black helicopter" tin hat rhetoric spoken in restaurants and would just SMH.  To think any one of us would participate in taking over the US...this to say that I know how many LEOs must feel when they hear this stuff.
  12. Try 39-15-401 - Child abuse and child neglect or endangerment.  Some of the more negligent cases surely fall under this statute.
  13. While it is good in theory, not good in practice.  Unless there is footage, or enough witnesses it boils down to a he said/she said situation and the police officer is usually given more credence.  Unless there is very good evidence of malicious accusation I think its better to have any unfounded complaints expunged after a certain amount of time.  That way, the officer is put on notice, just in case, and his record gets cleared if no other like situations arise.  The same can be done for the accuser, if that individual has a record of filing complaints it can be used to file charges if the need arises.
  14. I don't like either way.  There are many cases where weapons are left unattended and minors have access, such as the case where a 13 yo (I think) used his mothers weapon to defend the home.  While no self respecting officer or prosecutor may want to press charges, I can see the criminal or his family, if he didn't survive the encounter, going after the family due to having such laws on the books.   There are already laws in place, lets use those when appropriate.
  15. Sure, I agree with either buying or reloading quality ammo for hunting.  But it doesn't hurt to get to know your hunting rifle.  I zero at either 100 or 36 yards, then reach out a bit more to see where it hits.  With my last rifle, a Win mod 70 in .270 I could hit from 50 to 400 without touching the scope, now I have to learn my Vanguard in .270 and my Rem 700 in .308 the same way.
  16. Situational awareness is your first weapon, many would not of even been aware of the situation.  Luckily this turned out well for both parties.
  17. Yea, too much propaganda out there for me to land on one side or another.  While I feel that those in charge need to held accountable for raiding or having some places raided erroneously; those that break the law should not get a free pass to kill those trying to serve a warrant.   There is a big difference between getting the address wrong on a warrant and actually trying to serve one on an actual law breaker.  You may not like said law, but if you knowingly break it you need to accept the consequences.
  18. Why yes, I zeroed and practice with mil .308 in my Rem 700.  I confirm zero with my hunting rounds, but they are within hunting zero of my practice rounds ~1 inch high at 100yds.  Same goes with my 5.56, well within milspec rounds zero.  And even my 300blk, I practice with varmint 115 grain rounds and hunt with the Barnes 115 blacktips.
  19. That or they had it lifted from a cruiser, or unmarked vehicle.
  20. If you don't realize that Islam is a political movement more so than a religion, you have already lost.  There is no difference, to them it's one in the same, one true religion and a government based on Islamic teachings.
  21. Nice build and great vid.  Look forward to range reports.
  22. I would stick with either .270, .308 for around here, with the .270 getting the bigger nod.  While other calibers like the 30/30 are OK for under 100 yards, so can the other two but stretch it out and the 30/30 just can't keep up.  If you get a Rem 700 or Win mod 70 you won't be disappointed.
  23. Depending on the amount of storage needed there are enough free storage solutions available.  iCloud, Dropbox, Google docs, etc.  If you have a CD or better yet a DVD writer you can backup files to those or an external drive for local backup.  But if you are not actively backing up, then a service is better because you can set them to only do changed files after the initial full backup.
  24. Why should he have to keep it secret?  Is this not America?  We are letting these bleeding heart liberals get really out of hand because of how some of these laws are written and used.  Do you really need a coffee cup to say "hot", electrical appliances to say "do not drop in water"?  This law, as written, has too much room for prosecutors to prosecute someone with nothing really to have happened.  Not that there are many sleazy prosecutors, but there are some.  This was supposedly written because of the shotgun case, in my view the parents were not at fault.  If this law was on the books, that family would of been charged.  Even if they were found not guilty, they may of gone bankrupt defending themselves against an unjust law.  As it is I am sure they are going through hell with all this, they don't need more trouble.  Like I said elsewhere, there are already laws on the books that some of these other more blatant cases can be prosecuted under, the real question is why aren't they.
