Well, I'm out.  But the whole don't talk about sponsors thing concerns me a bit. First let me state that I have no issues, as of yet, with any sponsor, so not directed at any of them.   I understand not trashing them for some perceived slight or an issue not addressed by management first, but even sponsors should be able to be reviewed IMO.  Just because they buy advertising space should not afford them protection from someone posting their experience with them if negative.  This is the second time I've seen posters get trashed for simply posting their opinion, and not too bad a comment if you ask me.

They sort of shoot themselves in the foot regarding these opinions though.  On one hand they treat these as law, while totally disregarding others, such as the whole Guns in Parks opinion.  

I believe I read that he had a pellet gun he used in his pest control business.  I don't know the exact circumstances, but there were a few officers and other witnesses present, so there are a few differing stories coming out, of course.

For the most part that's correct, they all have to meet minimum standards.  On my Sequoia, I replaced the windshield twice, the first time I got a non OEM glass, all they had at the time.  It looked the same except the black mask near the rearview mirror, on the OEM it's raised like, while non OEM wasn't.  The tint was also different, not as good, less sun block.  I asked for OEM on the next one and they ordered it, no price difference, both through Safelite and USAA.

USAA has coverage which covers windshields, tires and other items that can be vandalism related or incidental with no deductible.  We just had to replace my wives windshield and had to pay a large deductible, so we changed our coverage.

It's going to be tough outlawing this stuff, seeing how its a binary explosive and these ingredients are not able to be classified as an explosive by itself.  No, I see the use of these being outlawed not the sale, sort of how they try and control fireworks.  But I had the same thought when I first seen it, it won't be long.

Not really, but when I first started reloading 5.56, this type of sale got me some plinking rounds and some great brass to reload.  While some avoid MIL brass, I prefer it, LC is used enough to have a lot of information on it, thickness, longevity etc.  You can get cheaper, but usually in bulk so you have to make a larger investment.  So if you are starting from scratch, and want to keep expenditures low, these are not bad.  Oh, and no shipping if you are local, so all you have is the tax.

Yea, I read that, but no round was chambered.  Now I am not condoning his actions, clearly a stupid thing to do, but I have never heard a round discharging in a magazine without a round in the chamber causing it.  Now the whole gun in school thing, he should of known the laws he was subject to, no defense for that.

That's the stupid part, attaching mechanical things to quickly pull the trigger are considered legal by the ATF (for now), just not electrical.  How a dang shoestring crosses that line is beyond understanding.  The same goes for the guy who was arrested, convicted, and served all his time for a malfunction.  I hope there is something not being reported about that situation, because with all these trigger jobs, and upteen AR triggers out there, there are many stories of malfunctioning triggers.

Hmm, no round in the chamber, is that considered loaded?  Not the smartest idea, but unless they have an issue with the gun on school grounds I don't see the legal issue.

I think you and others may have misunderstood my post.  I don't feel the analogy of "Todd" is correct, simply because those type of people are not "usually" the problem.  Just as I don't expect to ever hear you snapped one day and went on a killing spree, I don't think "Todd" will also.  The only time you will have to deal with bad "Todds" is if you are wrapped up in a world where "Todd" has made you a target, such as when you are into drugs, dealing or using, and or other crime type lifestyles.  That's not to say that you may not somehow get in the way of one, just that it's not likely.  Having said that, there is nothing wrong with training to become a "Todd" but many such as myself have very little time left in the day for training, and again like myself, have a hard time forcing myself to do it.  The only saving grace for me is that I was lucky enough to have received a lot of specialized training, which while dull, is not forgotten.  And the two I said were more likely the people you will run into are no slouches either, specially when they are high on their drug of choice.  I have not, thankfully, had to deal with anyone on drugs but many guys I have trained with have and some have paid the price for it.  In Somalia, khat was the drug of choice and made them skinnies very hard to take down, and of course their numbers didn't help either.  I bet some LEOs here can attest on how hard it is dealing with some one on meth, crack or PCP.  With these folks, they can attack with little provocation, they may look innocent enough or be a total crack head looking individual but can be totally underestimated by anyone that has not had to deal with them. Mr. hajji, while better trained is a different breed altogether.  This guy does not mind dying, and hope to take you with him, more if he can manage it.  He is difficult to neutralize because he has no escape plan, hostages mean more bodies not negotiating chips.  He can attack in the unlikeliest of places, more so if the places are busy and posted.  Again, he is no slouch, there is only one way to stop him and that is to shoot him until he poses no threat. And even if shot and going down he may have a backup plan to make your day go bad in a hurry.  Again, hard to deal with these guys due to the fact that most likely you will be unarmed. Back when I went to Hostile Government/Hostage Training (pre 9/11), we were taught to cooperate with our captors because you were mostly a bargaining chip for money, political gains,  or prisoner exchange.  After 9/11 all our training was changed, now cooperation was mostly out the door when it came to hostage situations and our two training courses were molded into one, that of Combat Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape (SERE).  There the mantra was to never give up, no matter what because giving up meant torture, propaganda and death.  We got lucky when some of our soldiers were captured (in 03'??), they were traded to a less hostile insurgent force and only subjected to propaganda and intimidation but others were not so lucky. I guess what I am trying to say with all this is that yes, you need to train, and have the mental acuity to recognize "Todd,  "Fred" and "Muhammad",  and yes even "Suzy" when they come a callin.  If you are like me, you need to make time to train and try and get in on these courses when you can.  You may not have a daily training regimen but at least with a course or two you will have something to draw from.  Spots; I am glad you (and others) provide this type of training to the masses.  I feel we are fast approaching scenarios all over the US like what are happening in Europe and have happened already here' just larger.  We need more sheepdogs around all these sheep.

I have a bunch of reloading equipment, its mostly Lee though I have a smattering of RCBS, Hornady etc.  I started reloading in the mid 80's, then it was cheaper to reload for me because I shot my 9mm and .40 almost every weekday 1 box ea at lunchtime and more on weekends, .  I have dies for every caliber I shoot, and since I started trading and upgrading I have a few duplicates.  So far, 9mm and 5.56 has been the only calibers that I could honestly say I could not reload cheaper at times.  But those sales are far and few between, specially since I have collected a bunch of brass.  When I get a new to me caliber, I try and get all the reloading gear with it, currently it's the .277 Wolverine.  I got the dies, gauge and barrel in one order, and since it is almost the same process of the 300 Blackout, the saw and jig I used for that will probably work too.  There are two sources for loaded rounds, but I prefer to do my own due to cost and control over QC.   For trimming I have three ways, one is the Lee hand held, best cheapest way to do it.  Using a drill to chuck the universal 3 jaw chuck make trimming quite effortless, I also got two bench trimmers, a Lyman and a Forster.  The Lyman is setup for my rifle rounds, .270 and 30-06, .303 etc.  The Forster I just got to do neck turning to try and get a more precise case on my .308 and .277, maybe even use some of those "bad" headstamped 300 Blk cases to chamber well.   All this to say that once you start reloading, it becomes a hobby in its own right.  Right now I probably have more ammo and components than I will ever get to shoot and plan on doing more once I get my casting setup going again...yea, another hobby.

As I understand it, even helicopters have to be licensed.  But you only need register once, its you that are registered really as the number is there to identify the pilot not the drone.  I got one early on since they refund the $5 you are charged, may still be that way.
