  1. How where the cameras rigged? Were they set to go off while being tampered with or when tripped? If while being tampered with, then it may of been to get camera thieves, or LEO trying to get evidence, if while being tripped then not much use since animals would trip it quickly.

    Baby snake ID?

Some of those snakes on the first page look poisonous, the ones with the triangular head. And this one would be dead no matter what if he decided to do this while I was in my tree stand:
  3. BLM protester, Church beggar or jogger, they all need to stay out of the road where they are not supposed to be. This guy was just asking for it, dark clothing, in the middle of the road accross from a bunch of people that are actively trying to get the attention of drivers. Anytime there are bicycles, pedestrians or pulled over vehicles, the natural tendency is to give them a wide berth. what else did they think was going to happen? The shooting, well yea, with all the reteric on both sides it's no wonder it happened.
  4. That is exactly why I stopped hunting Fort Campbell, too many hunters without common courtesy. Not to mention MWR's messed up way they handle the sign-out process.

    Baby snake ID?

Does that work? I had a pup get into one of those once, had to practically shave it. Luckily it was a furry one so no harm but it sure was stuck. This was before Gore invented the internet so I couldn't look up a remedy.
  6. Yea, but I have read that they, FL cougar, may not really be a subspecies. And have they done DNA testing to see where these were really from? I would think it would be easier for one to come up from FL than east from wherever. Maybe followed that darn armadillo?
  7. Armadillos definitely, but I wonder why one of the stories stated they (cougars)come from across the Mississippi and not up from FL?
  8. Of course this will be seen as a fault of the system, even though he was not allowed to own a firearms it will be seen as a fault of the gun not the perpetrator. http://www.newschannel5.com/news/local-news/father-charged-in-fatal-shooting-of-11-year-old
  9. Seriously? With the climate today how else are they supposed to answer a man-with-a-gun call? Personally I would be surprised if they answered any other way. My guess is nothing will come of it because there was no crime committed.
  10. No mixed emotion for me, seems to be an over reaction on her part. While the whole rifle pointing thing is questionable, and may be an exaggeration, I don't see nothing wrong with people taking their own security seriously. You don't know what has been going on in a strange neighborhood and you may just of entered into one that has been subject to high crime rates lately.
  11. No, you can get one: http://www.newschannel5.com/news/local-news/twra-cougars-are-back-in-tennessee-to-stay
  12. Sorry for your loss, I'm sure he appreciated having his family around to see him off.
  13. Seen this on another site and had to share.
  14. Have you checked with the NRA's insurance to see if you can just up the coverage?
  15. I have known this for sometime now, as has many of you out there I bet. Some is for non-nefarious use (obnoxious though), like the ads on some sites that show you ads on things you've looked at before on amazon or other sites. Soon it will be like in the movie Minority Report where the commercials were tailored to whomever was standing in front of the screen. The problem is, there is practically no easy way to opt-out of this.
  16. In #1, I was also referencing my results. I almost always do better, accuracy wise, sizing my cast bullets to just slightly overbore. I do sometimes get good as-cast results due to getting the alloy mix just right, but most times I need to size them so they can perform the way I want them too. All this is for rifle by-the-way, I am not as critical of my pistol rounds due to the short distance they need to travel and wider margin of error I need as compared to hunting. As for #2, not sure what you are getting at as we mostly agree. The gauge is definitely NOT needed as I have done your method, more or less, many times. But the cut-away gauge I purchased for the 300 BLK and .277 WLV is so much better and easier to see where you need to adjust your case processing at. With the 300 Blk, I was not getting down far enough with the sizing die at first so the case was not loading properly. Could of I done it with a sharpie, sure but it would of been a PITA to do that with every case that didn't load right. With the gauge, if it passes I load it, if it doesn't I put it aside to troubleshoot later. I had converted a few K worth of LC cases, and what I surmise is that the ones fired from a SAW needed a little bit more TLC to get them sized properly. #3, watch the vid. While you can use a lathe I suppose, it is really not necessary. It is a very simple process and I have done a few because Lee does not offer the specific size I need (unless I order custom). As for lube, I've tried most methods and they all work fine for the most part. But I have gone to Powder Coating due to me storing my bullets for awhile sometimes and they either end up getting dust or lint up into the lube or just plain drying out. With PC I first tried the tumble method, which worked ok, but using the PC gun is so much better aesthetically speaking anyway as both methods work about the same as far as performance goes.
  17. I have about 4 to 6 bricks, two of which were before the shortage. I refuse to buy the overpriced ammo available nowadays, but will get a brick or two as I see them at decent prices. With all the hoarders and gougers, pretty soon we will be resorting to hunting squirrel with 5.56 no matter how much is made; I already plink with it over .22 due to price.
  18. I won't lie, I've shot left over rounds from ranges before; though never encountered that many. I have even fired some 30/06 rounds I found in a lake in en block clips (about 20 full clips) though not the ones with significant rust. But I have never knowingly purchased any reloads, even when 300Blk was hard to find, I waited until I could find the proper powder instead.
  19. What type of reloads? If they are from a reputable company (remanufactured), then no issues. But if they are from Joe Bob, then I would either pass or if cheap enough, I would pull the bullets and reload with a known powder and charge.
  20. All he had to do was ask, I'd be happy to let him use my G23 for the next video. ID 10 T
  21. I like the idea of the non-reciprocating ones, but not enough to pursue one. I have never even seen one shoot live, just vids.
  22. Its a good benefit as it hardens the steel in the bore and makes it last a bit longer. Melonite does the same and arguably better than chrome but it depends on where you read the comparison. Either of the two would be ok for most of our purposes though.
  23. Since you plan on grinding bone on a consistent basis, I would go with at the minimum a #12. But even the LEM #12 I linked above says not to grind bone (according to the reviews it will do it though). Of course they mention bones on the #8 too though. Have you looked on craigslist for one? Here is one for the #8: https://nashville.craigslist.org/app/5676368833.html for $250
  24. That's a tough issue, maybe one of those tax relief places I see on tv? When my MIL passed, my wife and her brother received a disbursement from the State (CO) and I had them tax my wife's half before disbursement. They took Federal and CO tax, but later returned the CO part when we filed there. Most that issue disbursements will ask if you want them to withhold tax, but if she was too distraught maybe it went right by her. You may want to get ahold of the people that disbursed the pension, maybe they withheld but didn't file the paperwork right, I know there is a point where they will withhold whether you want them to or not.
  25. Poor judgment on both sides. From what I read I would have to side with the shooter on this one a bit, there is no reason to get out of your vehicle and attempt to get in the face of another driver, or attempt to enter the vehicle. Of course this is precipitated by both of them pulling over, so who knows what each of them thought was going to happen there.
