  1. You are a bit far but if you want a deer I would be more than happy to harvest one for you if the chance presents itself. I give two or three away each year as I only keep one for myself. If no one closer can hook you up, PM me and maybe we can work out the details.
  2. No panic buying for me, just getting in on the savings. Got me a 10.5" WLV barrel coming in, and since I don't want to pay "taxes" it will be a pistol for now, so hopefully they nix silencers and SBRs off the NFA list soon.
  3. That bill can stall until there is a new man at the desk. That is why I said we have 70 days to get them behind the bill. BTW, how soon do the new Repubs take their position?
  4. Heck that's only at the most a 2 hour drive to Knoxville. I drive by there now and then on my way to see my daughter in Charlotte from here in Clarksville.
  5. Ok guys we have approximately 70 days or so to start bugging our legislative body to pass this act: https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/3799?resultIndex=76 Write your congressman and ask them to support this bill to get silencers off the NFA list, it's now one of the best times to see if this new administration is going to put up or face another turnover come two years from now.
  6. I dont know, but I'm putting in a stock buy tomorrow! Edit: make that today, seems it's past my bedtime.
  7. While not arson perse, when people throw lit cigarettes out the window it irks the hell out of me because it can definately cause one.
  8. Thanks for the link, will definitely get one of those. Wonder if you can get the pieces to switch between units?
  9. I disagree about it being a good move, many buy their products(non-gun) because of the S&W name. Now they will be one of many selling those products with no name-recognition to aid them. We currently stock their handcuffs and collapsible batons, and I bet the name had something to do with it.
  10. Big difference; I went by a fishing spot I used to use (yellow creek) and seen islands didn't know were there.
  11. There are a few more area that were announced, here in the city of Clarksville they have one in place as of just a few days ago. This map show more areas: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=16aQ-WTtNY6RWAerdhMRLDHfQBik&hl=en&ll=36.053470963761704%2C-86.55329711328124&z=9 Edit, actually this one has a pdf more up to date, many more than the link above. http://burnsafetn.org/
  12. I like that, I wonder how it compares to a gas run engine as far as runtime. I do like the fact of it being able to sit unused without worrying about the carb.
  13. It can go either way actually, TN has adverse possession , where if someone used land for 20 years (not paying taxes) or 7 years paying taxes they can have a right to said land. That is why it's important to assert ownership of every piece of your land, if a neighbor is on your property it's important to challenge them on it, or allow them the use in writing so it's not adverse possession.
  14. I put one up, I went as close to the line as possible with the understanding with the neighbors that if a survey was done we would abide by it. But with the terrain and cost I doubt one ever gets done.
  15. Well, now that there throws a different light. I can see family members going at it like that.
  16. Unless that story was something like it was used to shoot a president, Osama, or it fell out of the pocket of D.B Cooper..they can keep it.
  17. If she had chased them down, then yes maybe I could see the threat being gone. But since they were armed, taking for granted they used the gun in the robbery, then the threat was not over IMHO. Things can go south in a hurry, and seeing the bullet hole in the car, they were still in range; so again, I wish she was a better shot.
  18. Well, since they were armed I say good for her. I don't care if they are starting to run away, they still pose a danger if they suddenly decide a live witness is a bad thing. Too bad it seems she missed.
  19. Only $150ish for the lower with your own parts kit, $82 for the parts kit if you don't have or damaged yours. Good to know they have this in case your lower is damaged somehow. I sent in my G23 for a recall and got a whole new lower, different serial number, so I'm good. But there have been some that have needed a replacement after attempting to either modify (remove/add finger grooves, or stippling) or just had a mishap with their lower. I wonder how it would compare in pricing with an oem replacement.
  20. Me I had started using Speer Grand Slam bullets back in the early 80's, they are hard to come by now so a few years I just bought a box of what ever they had, silvertips, partitions, intelocks etc, haven't found a bullet yet that has failed me. Midsouth just happened to have some Grand Slam bullets for both my .270 and .308 so I purchased enough to last me quite some time, perhaps a lifetime seeing as I only shoot 5-6 a year.
  21. Smallest I have used is a 3k, it ran the fridge, and some lights and a fan but it could of handled more. I now have a 3k (also a welder) and a 5k as well as a Honda 2000i which I use with my travel trailer. I run everything directly from the gen, so no switch required. Of course, around here most power outages are short lived so haven't had the need to wire one in.
  22. See them a few times up and down the Cumberland , by Dover and once or twice by Cross Creek refuge.
  23. Yea, sometimes you have to take the small wins.
  24. Haven't seen them, don't feel I missed a thing.
