  1. Try this, if you have any questions just ask.
  2. Did one last year, not to difficult and much less expensive.
  3. So I got me a used travel trailer with AC and heat to replace my older one without AC, or john. The trailer is a hybrid, it has hard sides but two ends also have large doors that open to setup the tents. When shopping around, I decided on this type to reduce the size of the trailer while hauling and still having the room when I arrive. It needed some maintenance and while researching I came across a few articles with tips to use Reflectix to insulate the tent windows and floor. I got a large roll and did as instructed, but had alot left over so decided to do my hunting stand as well. Best thing I've done in awhile, the insulation helps retain the heat quite well and with the portable little buddy heater I was quite comfortable in 24deg weather. The only downside is that when it heats up or cools down it sounds like you are in a bowl of Rice Krispies. They're not too loud though so I don't think the deer will notice. They are like bubble wrap but made of aluminum, so are fragile but more flexible than cooking aluminum. It's real reflective though, so just did about 4', size of roll, and covered over the top foot or so (3' from the top with black closed cell foam board so as not to have contrast through the windows. Will update when I try out the TT tents.
  4. Not bad at all, so far I've not had a shot, and no buck sightings.
  5. Yup, nice buck. Good candidate for a mount, traditional or european maybe.
  6. Yeah, I only have one spot I go to, but it has been productive so far. Seen a total of four today, only one let me scope her but no good angle. Did see a fox though, kinda cool watching it catch, something, then sit and sun itself. Going out again tomorrow , and all week until I get something.
  7. War zone here too, I sure hope they weren't hunting deer, just heard what sounded like three or four mag dumps on full auto.
  8. In the stand, small breeze but not too much. Great looking morning, seen three does, no shot, and a fox out hunting and warming itself in the sun. Been using the squirrels to practice acquiring targets in my scope, the fox too. Fox was difficult, minimal movement and blended well with the tall grass.
  9. He should make his presidential library there too.
  10. Definitely moving, seen three but no clean shot.
  11. A bit breezy here and a might cool, no movement in my area but have heard a few shots around me so somethings moving.
  12. Out at my hunting place in my travel trailer right now, it's raining here and slightly windy. I hope that keeps them bedded down for the night. Good luck to all that venture out this weekend .
  13. Far as I'm concerned having a prescription is being legal, screw the Feds. Tired of them (State and Feds) picking and choosing which laws to uphold. That goes for recreational use where allowed, as long as you're not under the influence at the time you should be good-to-go.
  14. I don't think he was imprisoned due to his "center of the universe" theory, it was his assertion that the church and by extension, God, may not be perfect. Sometimes you just need to leave beliefs behind and stick to the facts.
  15. Yea, I'm in Denver and have passed warehouses which house more pot than I've seen on highly publicized drug busts...I think the Feds frown upon this too.
  16. Currently in Denver, returning on Thursday so will be out early Friday, good luck to all. BTW, they're expecting snow here Thursday, so hope to bring it with me.
  17. I came by a place that begs an investigation , behind Dunbar cave, a popular attraction, there are two old cars that seem to of either got caught in a runoff or abandoned on purpose.
  18. We got training in the use of one but never really carried one. Very effective if used properly.
  19. Lense caps and a squirt bottle of glass cleaner in case it gets in there anyway.
  20. Oh not me, I refuse to pay it on principle alone, for silencers or SBRs. The idiocy of the entire GCA bugs me, only the well off can play...BS. Then they insult us again by authorizing "pistols" and "braces" and telling us use doesn't change a gun into a rifle, but don't shoulder a brace, oh no thats bad. SMH!
  21. Done it a few times, some for corrosion, and others to take the tarnish/sizing wax off. Most times just run it for a few minutes, once forgot and left there for...a bit, no issues with either.
  22. My point exactly, currently there are "solvent trap" kits that only run a couple hundred and perform as well or in some cases better than the higher end cans. With a Form 1, many build their own out of these have been for years. No, the way ahead for current manufacturers will be in things like integrated silencers, quick disconnects, and conversion of sealed cans and such.
  23. I don't think there is any degradation there, it's probably just a matter of over-caution in those departments. We have soldiers that carry the same ammo for their entire 18 month rotation, if they're lucky, and no issues have been reported. Back in the eighties I found a whole bunch of ammo in en bloc clips someone had dropped in a lake, they all ended up firing just fine. Of course I cleaned them up a bit first, and by the looks of them they weren't in the lake too long but some did have a bit of corrosion.
  24. In TN it is already legal to make your own, and kits have been available since at least the 80s. So if the feds make it not illegal you would see almost an immediate drop in price but increase in profit due to sales, win-win.
  25. I hate that, it's hard enough to make out any antlers through the branches sometimes let alone count the points.
