I just take what I carry, if the thieves are smart they will avoid taking bags with weapons. A camera or even laptop goes missing, they will look, but pretty much tell you you're are SOL. A weapon goes missing, at an airport and I am sure all hell will break loose, and I am sure they don't want the increased scrutiny. Besides, unless you get what you train with, you are putting yourself at a disadvantage. If you have to do that make sure to get some range time with your new gun.

I would not change anything I would normally do. I would check with the airline, just in case they change their rules though.

I am definitely cheap, most have been under $600, with only a few going over that, and of those they are under 1k. But I do like a deal, so I've jumped on them when i find them, so I spend a bit anyway.

Probably as much as you can risk getting caught breaking. When I was in Japan, all our packages went through US customs from the base, and theirs through their post office. Not that they caught alot, we mailed a few knock of products, but not so many as to raise suspicion. But the risk of importing weapons parts is a bit much IMHO.

LEO have LEOSA, not sure if it covers non retired LEOs, but they do have something. As to military firearms training, they do get it, just not on handguns, at least not as much, but they do get all the safety training that goes for every firearm. They also get training with M203s, the LAW (well in my time), and hand grenades in Basic. And for over 15 years now we have been in combat so the number of combat vets out there has increased dramatically, and the at-home training has been reflecting that. So I would argue that the military gets more training than most who seek a CCW Permit.

I seen a chart somewhere that shown the difference between .177 and .22 pellets (and other sizes) from multiple caliber center fire rifles using three type of primers and the 209 was much better but the others worked too. I think it was on a YouTube linked with the video above, but I am in restricted mode here so can't link. Will try at home unless someone else can.

In many places, even pellet rifles are illegal to fire, at least in the city limits (not in Clarksville). So if you can have a pellet rifle, you can have a real one. But I would need something for the backyard, I need to thin out the tree rat population a smidge, so stealth is the name of the game here. I would need something with a low report, and shorter range of course, so this may just be the ticket. I have a pump, break barrel style.177, or maybe .22 (can't recall) pellet rifle but its not the best out there. It is very inconsistent and with the site mounting options it is limited there as well. It is also very loud for a pellet rifle, at least it seems like it to me. I seem to remember my bb/pellet rifles being quieter. Reloading would be much simpler, even if assembling the round each time, so I think I will make a handful, about 10 or so. One of the reviews says it has an o-ring in the primer pocket, I wonder if its recessed or just sitting at the bottom, or even required?

That would wear me out, as it is my knuckles ache after doing mundane things for a bit. It will work of course, and may be faster than the kinetic, but for that price you might as well get the RCBS or Hornady one.

That has been happening for awhile, the thing I do is use the bell, not the popup to check the notification. The popup goes away on its own, the bell does not.

Probably just a gun cabinet, not a safe. I only have a gun cabinet as well, but its directly across an EMS station which is manned 24/7, have a gun-nut of a neighbor and a gun-nut of a home owner which all leans toward nobody making off with my entire cabinet which is bolted down on the second floor.

Unless you use a heavy crimp, and maybe even then, the kinetic puller should work fine. I never had an issue with a kinetic puller, even on some rounds that had lacquer sealant, though they took a few more swings to get them loose. The only reason I got the RCBS puller was that I had a bunch of damaged shells from the range and wanted to salvage the projectiles, otherwise I would still be using my Midway (Now Frankford Arsenal) labeled kinetic puller.

I have the RCBS one, which works ok but it does leave marks on the bullet if you are not careful. Before that I used the kinetic puller, which I still use if its just one shell that didn't make the cut, they work decently enough and usually no marks left on anything.
