  1. 2 completely different statutes. 39-17-1322 deals with criminal charges. It basically says "if you are breaking a gun law, but you use your gun in self-defense, then you have a legal defense to to carrying illegally" The first one I imagine would be overruled by the new law that says if you are not criminally liable, then you are liable in a civil suit, but as Dave pointed out you will always be held liable for hitting an innocent and you can always be sued.
  2. Gemma didn't tell Clay or Jax, IMHO, because she knows how they can both go off "half-cocked" on things. She doesn't want them to get killed trying to avenge her. Like she said, "This wasn't about me." The Nazi boys want Clay and Jax to do something stupid. Kurt Sutter also said that what happened to Gemma will serve as a "spiritual quest" for her this season. You can already see that in the way she is dealing with Tara, Abel, and the way she stopped and looked at John Teller's old bike.
  3. My thoughts exactly. I know it may be kinda cheesy, but I hope he's in a better place where pain really don't hurt. What a crappy year.
  4. Any gun shop should have some. Don't buy the water/pepper crap at the grocery store either. Buy something like Fox Labs or Sabre.
  5. Sounds like it was a good deal overall. I do hospital campus security and we run into this alot when we are asking for people's ID on suspicious person calls, etc. I've only had a few incidents where I dealt with someone with a gun and they all had permits. I've always politely asked and it's never been an issue. The only time it was an issue was a kid came in drunk, carrying, and threatening to kill a nurse. He had an HCP and was carrying a Kel-Tec. I relieved him of both.
  6. State law allows for the gifting of a gun and you can sell a gun privately with no paperwork in this state. Some shops get wary if someone picks out the gun and then you say OK I'm gonna buy it, but I'd just let him pick it out then buy it and do the TICS and be done with it.
  7. You shush your mouth! Bruce Campbell is on that show. That automatically makes it awesome.
  8. Don't get me wrong I love the show and I read Kurt Sutter's interview and reasoning behind the end scene. I just have deep, deep issues with that "act" and it always shakes me up a little when it catches me off guard. I can handle quite a bit, but when you have to deal with that crap alot in real life, it's not something you really want to see on TV.
  9. Loved Season 1 was enjoying this episode til that crap at the end. I won't spoil it for those that haven't seen it, but that crap went to far for me.

    Motorcycle

I ride a Suzuki Boulevard 800 and it's a good bike. I started on a Suzuki 250, but it was WAY to small. In a cruiser look at at least a 650 and up. In a sport bike a 600 is a great one to start on.
  11. Not trying to be a jerk, but you hope you'll never need your gun, but I doubt you carry a Lorcin. If you ever get to the point you need a BOB, you need something that will hold weight and be comfortable to carry from point A to B. If you don't think so just buy a Jansport, a first aid kit, some bottled water, and protein bars and chunk it behind the seat and forget about it.
  12. Take a look at the new 5.11 RUSH 24 and 72 backpacks. I use the 24 for a BOB and it's got some MOLLE setup and ALOT of space. Maxpedition also makes great bags. 13. Probably could do without the racist name calling. Illegals works a bit better than insulting an entire race.
  14. Pretty basic I guess on me. Punisher was always one of my favorite comics, loved the movies, and loved it enough to get the skull tattooed on my left arm so Punisher was a given 84 is my birth year.
  15. Yeah, but you are talking about 2 guys that were already established NFL players before they f'ed up. This guy was still in college ball with so-so talent. He's done.
  16. LOL depending on what precinct you work out of and who your CO is I'm surprised you haven't been squared away on that yet. Just friendly advice, but try and remember HCP holders aren't the enemy and the more you go messing with guns the more likely you are to have an ND. Leave it where it is and don't buy the hype some of the folks teach you in the academy. Your trainer wasn't the girl that just shot the recruit was she? If so I guess I'd be skittish too lol
  17. Lord that would be ridiculous lol I imagine you'd have a fairly good defense to that charge. "Well your honor when my face went through the windshield it changed my plans for the day, up until that moment I hadn't planned on going to a posted hospital!"
  18. An unloaded gun is a paperweight. Don't believe the hype. Load it and leave it like God intended, ready to void birth certificates.
  19. Yea see we do that all the time for patients. Especially if you come in on an ambulance and are critical. Take it, unload it, lock it in the safe. Now if they don't have a permit on them we will usually have PD check into that, but that's about the extent.
