  1. Yea I'll have to check them out next time I'm up there. One big purchase was enough yesterday lol
  2. Wonder if the "Way to go s***head" sticker I have on my motorcycle helmet counts? Not like I care though.
  3. Thanks guys. Lol I knew someone would bust out a joke eventually. All I'll say is this, I ride ALOT, to alot of different places and with alot of different people, 95% have Harleys and they are always on the road. Guess it's no difference than the gun wars though. Some people like what they like and won't be told otherwise, even if they haven't really experienced it. Alot of Harley hatred is simply second hand info. I spent my time on a metric bike, and the bike was good to me, but as soon as I fired up that Road King yesterday I knew I made a good decision.
  4. Thanks Dave. I knew that the moment I pulled out of the parking lot lol Now I just need to get a 2nd job to buy all the stuff I want for it!
  5. Well it's not gun related, but I know we have quite a few riders here, so I thought I'd share this. Went up to Union City yesterday with my MC and got my new to me Harley. It's a 2000 Road King with only 19k miles. I don't think the guy hardly ever rode it. It's immaculate. Very excited about it and I'm loving the comfort if it.
  6. Stop carrying so someone here doesn't have to end up shooting someone who you gave your gun to. Just give them the car and your money and hope for the best.
  7. I haven't had to google a word in a very long time, but excoriating got me. Kudos to you sir.
  8. Dude needs to get off the roids. Not sure I buy the permit holder's story either, but that was completely insane. That guy shouldn't be allowed to work at Wackenhut.
  9. Schumacher is Satan. Burton Batman was good. Daniel Craig is my favorite Bond. I did like Pierce though. Maybe just love for a fellow Irishman lol
  10. +1. I've met Ayoob and talked to him at a gun writer's conference. Attitudes have changed since the 80's. Scottie I'm not trying to change your mind on what your line in the sand is. I just think you are overly paranoid about justification.
  11. I read an article once where Massad Ayoob said something to the effect of "If you spend all your time worrying about what a jury may think, you'll be dead before you get the chance to find out." I think your fear of court is greater than your fear of death or injury.
  12. I think you have to look at quality vs quantity though. These Batman films have surpassed just about everyone's expectations. I think if you keep trying to make then you'll eventually lose that quality. I'm a big Bond fan, but let's face it, not all the Bond films are that great.
  13. Yea I realized it when I watched it again. I figured it was but at that angle it was hard to tell.
  14. Everybody has touched on it, but someone mentioned the CDC getting in on it and that was going to be my point. Zombies represent everything going wrong. Not only do you have an enemy to engage, but you have power failure, supply shortages, food and water issues, etc. Zombies are an all purpose SHTF fall...thing.
  15. Can't. Friggin. Wait. Btw Wyatt I was curious, see what you think, but that was Gordon in the hospital bed right? Seems like this is going to be a pretty dark one as well.
  16. There are different situations, but you'll be opening up a whole new can of worms there. I see your point though. Most commonly, you will have seen a weapon before you feel the need to pull your own. How people fail to realize that is beyond me. The more I've been around people in the firearms training world, the more I think people just carry because they want to have a gun. They don't really think about the situations they might realistically find themselves in. I dont know if they think they'll get that perfect scenario or if they are just terrified because some overly cautious instructor told them they'll die if they try to draw. People draw and fire against drawn weapons all the time. Police and civilians both.
  17. Yup. That story about the young man that was posted? That was a good friend of mine. Trained with him for years. It's not impossible to draw. Action is quicker than reaction. If you get an opportunity, seize it. In my opinion, the only people who advocate not drawing in that situation are people who: A. Are too trusting of criminals. Or B. Lack training and the ability to keep their head under stress.
  18. What can I say...I'm a magnet lol
  19. Oh I'll just go ahead and do all the parts myself. Poster 1: "Open carry sucks!" Poster 2: "Open carry rules! You suck!" Poster 3: "I fall somewhere in the middle and don't mind healthy debate." Poster 2: "You're an idiot!" Poster 1: "You're uninformed!" Moderator: "Lock! Banhammer!" /end thread
  20. He said he was in his first post.
