  1. I love mine. Carry it as my BUG frequently. Never had any issues with it.
  2. I think you need to quit reading Massad Ayoob articles and gun magazine advice. I agree with you as far as the "always shoot" part, but you can't carry a gun and hesitate either. I have been in the Army, I have worked in gun sales and firearms training, I work in security and now and am waiting for my slot in the police academy to open up in the summer, so I have worked with and around people who deal with these types of cases everyday for quite a few years now. If you are so afraid of going to jail, you don't need to carry a firearm for self-defense. Period. The reason is your fear of those 12 people, the judge, lawyers, and police will make you hesitate and that will get you killed everytime. I think where you want to blame many people here for being to overzealous, my assertion would be that you do not have the mindset to carry a firearm for the opposite reason.
  3. That is why you get advanced training. You learn the answers to those questions.
  4. I think DaddyO should grace us with his vast knowledge of self-defense shootings and legal experience. Or maybe just back up his statements with more than his own theories about the members on this board. If you bothered to keep up with the law you'd know that just last year the legislature passed a bill that extended a little bit of the "castle doctrine" over to your vehicle as it relates to what is justified when it comes to a case like this. I love how people like you want to assume everyone is talking tough or macho when they say they'd shoot in this case. Yea people get a bit more wordy on the net about things, but I'll tell you right now, if someone is trying to bust out my window with a hammer, tire iron, crowbar, etc. I'm gonna assume they want to hurt me and I'm not going to get hurt, so I'm going to shoot them and do what I've been trained to do. So why don't you shut up and quit telling people what they will and won't do.
  5. Search. It's what's for dinner. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/tennessee-politics-legislation/34892-curry-todd-da-man.html
  6. LOL I was trying to say it without sounding like a jerk, it's just one of those things that kinda come up in the motorcycle world You know we always welcome cagers (4 wheeled folk) to stand the flag line with us. You don't have to ride or be a vet to do do PGR missions. It's all about respect. If you're ever interested in it shoot me a PM. I passed it on to my asst. state captain who will forward it to our state captain. I honestly am not aware that PGR itself does honor guard, but it may be something we do if the family can't get an honor guard, say for like a WWII, Vietnam or Korea vet's funeral. If it can be done trust me those 2 will make it happen.
  7. I'm planning on joining soon. Not a big choice in ranges around here anyway. The only one that is halfway decent is still an indoor range and caliber restrictive. So if you want to shoot long guns you pretty much have to have land or go MSSA.
  8. I'll pass this along to our State Captain. Been riding with PGR for a good while now. Just FYI, PGR is NOT a motorcycle club. They are a riding group. I know that sounds nit picky, but trust me, from someone who wears a 3 piece patch, it's a HUGE difference.
  9. I agree with that and it's not really work or anything else it's that I'm tired of a portion of people telling the other portion how to live and using BS tactics to do it. I say that and realize that's not gonna change so what do you do? Burn their playhouse down too. Then when we're all pissed and have had enough maybe we can rebuild out of the ashes.
  10. I know bad night and alot of stuff is pissing me off right now, but I guess I'll see Curry Todd in Hell then because I fully support this. I'm an ends justify the means kinda guy.
  11. I would LOVE to see that on video. That is pure awesome. Dude...what?! You and I are gonna have to disagree on this. He is doing exactly what was done to us. Playing the game. All the damn liberal drunks whining about their little bars being invaded by "gun toting Charlie Bronsons" when all we wanted to do was go to ****ing Chili's and eat dinner! Beale street can ****ing burn for all I care and I wouldn't piss on anyone down there to put out the flames. Buy your beer at 2 in the afternoon like the rest of the law abiding world. I fully hope the legislation passes! Shut the places down at 0000 on the dot! You know how much crime, DUI arrests, and other drunk ass BS will go down?! I work 3rd shift, I see what comes out after drinking til 3am. Nothing good happens on the streets after midnight and that is a god damn fact! God I am beyond pissed now. I am all for your opinion and we're buds, but dammit. *head wall*
  12. Saw this earlier. Really bummed me out. Phil and his boys were my favorites on the show.
  13. Hallelujah! Here's a song for you from me.
  14. That's a nice thing of him to do, but I don't think we outta make Mutt Jesus Christ here. He's had some pretty outrageous views and has been, IMHO, overly argumentative and pretty outlandish on several occasions. Yea there's some tools on TGO, welcome to Earth. I understand people getting upset with the board, leaving for a few days or whatever, but honestly who writes a farewell post? It's a little self-serving and egotistical. It's like walking into a room and saying "I'm leaving! I want you all to know how much you're going to miss me!" then going outside the room and listening through the door to see what people say.
  15. The biggest lesson to be learned here is that people are EFFING STUPID! Let's go buy a bunch of perishable items so we'll have them when the power goes out!
  16. I won't really miss you so HOLLA!
  17. That commercial is Obama's wet dream. My favorites were the Etrade babies (which is on as I type this lol), Doritos, Snickers, and Bud Light of course. The one that took the prize for me though was this one... YouTube - Budweiser ? FENCES Clydesdales 2010 ~ SUPER BOWL 44
  18. LOL Hey I'm good to construct sentences. I tend to just grumble alot. ahahahaha
  19. I think you're wrong about that, as usual. Where you been anyway? Haven't seen you thread crapping as much lately. Erik all these guys that are telling you to move out etc, forget them. Most of us here got your point and it's a good one. Too many people here like to completely forget the point of the post and just impart their limited knowledge to others by trying to sound how and mighty. Not everybody is blessed with people that pay for their college or scholarships. So do what you can while you're home and hopefully in a couple years you will have your own place to secure better.
  20. I need to check out Arms Fair. I haven't bought a gun in awhile because I don't do business where I used to anymore. Probably won't buy another gun until I save up my membership fees for the range though.
  21. Yea I remember we went down that road awhile back and ended up with a bunch of pissed off combat vets. Experience is better than having no experience and telling people with experience what they might or might not do.
  22. It should actually strike you more as a motto for life. I know alot of good soldiers and cops who quote that. Anyway here's my 2 cents on this. Carrying a gun is a personal decision that only you can make and you have to know your priorities. Mine are my family and friends, myself, other people. In that order. I won't say I will NEVER protect someone anymore than I'll say I'll always protect them. A point was made that every law abiding citizen has the option to learn to defend themselves, carry a gun/pepper spray/etc, and we are all masters of of our own destinies. I am not responsible for you no more than you can be held responsible for me. If you are carrying a gun to play hero then I urge you to seek professional training to curb that attitude or join the military or become a LEO. You carry a gun to stop the threat of an active threat upon life, period. If you engage in 3rd party self-defense you had damn well better make sure you're ducks are in the row and dotting their i's and crossing their t's. Because if you make a mistake, the consequences are permanent.
