Get 'em! I'm always amazed at how people who aren't LE (stmccann for example) seem to think they know so much about training and how to handle these types of situations. You can't just let someone walk away because they are being a little hard to control. You do your job and if you do it right, you go home. To quote SouthLAnd's Officer John Cooper "You use that crap they taught you in the academy you will die. You ride with me you back your badge." LE work ain't always pretty, but sometimes being ugly is what gets you home at night.

It's slowly starting to piss me off. I am not a long distance pistol shooter and I am not a sniper, but I'm fairly certain I could have held my own for at least these first episodes against these "experts". Brad is supposed to be a USPSA shooter right? And the guy is whining about the Beretta?! To me a firearms "expert" should be able to manipulate any firearm handed to them out there with a certain degree of proficiency. I've seen better form and more confident shooters in a permit class!

Well, personally, I think CK can go F himself. That opinion means more too because I live in a house, drive a car, have all my teeth, have put many rounds downrange in various training and IDPA scenarios, and have not now and will never sleep with my sister. Arrogant prick.

Armed guard license is only good from work to home and at your job site. As one of the instructors I used to work with would say "If you want to stop and get a drink at the gas station on your way home, you need an HCP." Basically you can't just use your HCP while working as an armed guard and you can't use your guard license as an HCP.

Allright I'll check that out in the morning when I go. I gotta get wood filler to fill the holes anyway. See that's the thing I don't have any swarming. I found 2 holes, a little bit of damage, and a dead one in a hole. That's it. That's why I initially thought it was beetles because I didn't see them buzzing around.

That's the plan for tomorrow minus the wd-40. I, gonna get some stuff from Lowe's, spray the holes, fill them up, and then paint the deck here soon anyway.

I don't know how new the deck is. It is a used house, but I think the deck is only a couple years old. There are only like 2 actual holes, the rest is where they were chewing. I haven't seen any buzzing, but the one I pulled out was dead so I'm gonna just spray the deck, plug the holes, and paint.

Guess I'll get out there and spray some stuff in the holes, then fill them and paint.

Awesome thanks guys! I wondered about carpenter bees when I was noticing that there were some chewed spots around the outside too. I just haven't seen any buzzing around which is what I thought was odd. I was looking up something called "old house borers" which sounded pretty much exactly like what I saw, but there were only a couple holes and it didn't really look like a beetle. Come to think of it that SOB had a stinger type tail! I feel better now lol

Hey guys and gals, I just bought a house and it has a nice covered deck attached on the back. The house passed both home and termite inspection, but today I noticed what looked like wood shavings on my patio table. When I looked up at the beams for the roof there was a smooth round hole and a dead bug poking out of it. I only found one other hole bored out of the wood, but I wondered what I can do or if anyone has any experience with these things? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
