  1. Yea I did it when I was younger in Mississippi. No clue where the damn card is though. Wonder if I have to take it over lol
  2. So I have a question...who wants to take me hunting this year?!
  3. Jamie in honor of your epic post this is for Strel.
  4. Yup it was one of the Saturday nights we worked.
  5. Agreed. I've been thrilled with their same day shipping attitude. I ordered a couple items Friday morning and I had them Tuesday. Looks like I'll have the stuff I ordered earlier in on Friday as well.
  6. Technically the trigger is covered if you wear it IWB. A simpler solution is just, ya know, NOT stick your finger in the trigger guard until you're ready to shoot. No offense to anyone, but anytime I hear people say something about an exposed trigger it just screams "no formal training" to me. It's in the same thought process as carrying on an empty chamber to me.
  7. I've been on a Midway USA kick the past week and they've been great. Good prices and super fast shipping.
  8. I hear ya. I'm thinking about getting the 1911 model one for my Kimber Pro Carry.
  9. I almost got shot working at a range when a girl got a .22 shell down her shirt. She started spinning around with the gun still in hand and her finger on the trigger. To answer the impending question, yes I bodychecked her into the wall in front of her boyfriend and friends and grabbed the gun.
  10. I picked one of these up last week and have been trying it out. I gotta say I'm pretty impressed. Order Clipdraw - Universal Clipdraw Fits All Handguns I was kinda reluctant at first because of the tape being what attached it, but I read some good reviews and it was only around 25 bucks, so i figured I'd check it out. I mounted it on my Kahr CW9 first, but the tape was a little wide and covered just a bit of the ejection port and I wasn't having that so I mounted it on my Kel-Tec P3AT and it's been working great. It holds well in my pocket or IWB and it completely disappears. I don't know that I would trust it to a significantly heavier gun, but for a smaller, lightweight gun I think it works really well. Having a thin frame a holster always seems to add just that little extra bulk that I can't hide under a t-shirt very well and during the summer I hate having to wear an overshirt so this has been a great CC compromise for me. Just my little review anyhow. Anyone else using one? I'm really curious if anyone uses it on a larger firearm.
  11. Exactly. I got a clip draw for my Kel-Tec and didn't put on an undershirt and man...not a good feeling to be 100 degrees and have that thing rubbing against my side.
  12. LOL Thanks bro. I'm going to change out the grip eventually, but I like the Hogue for now.
  13. I definitely agree with that. I would not be even 25% of the shooter I am today if it wasn't for Chip.
  14. That's a little different situation. If their home is part of the campus itself, then maybe, but if it is a private residence then no. I really doubt campus PD would hassle you for something like that though.
  15. Anything in the campus falls under UT campus police. You would have to be completely off campus to be legal under the law. It's gonna be one of those "nice try, but no dice" kinda deals.
  16. Thanks Smith, I like that VT mount! EDIT: Just ordered the VT mount for the AR!
  17. I'm not saying we don't learn anything with age or adjust our thought process, but it is only through our life experiences that we shape our world and the way we view it and react to it. Aging is just simply a process that we all go through. The problem with the age argument is that too many people use it as a crutch "I'm older I know more". That is simply untrue. For example, I worked at FedEx for several years as a Ramp Agent. If you are 20 years older than me and have never worked for FedEx then you obviously don't have the same experience or knowledge that I do in that area so age does not dictate knowledge, experiences do. It's like saying a 50 year old shut in knows more than a 30 year old who has traveled the world.
  18. I normally CC, but I will OC from time to time. Just depends on where I'm going and what I'm doing. Even when I do CC it's not deep cover. I don't believe in burying it so deep it's useless.
  19. Alright here it is with what I've got so far. Magpul MOE stock, handguards, and a PMAG. Sling and attachment are Blackhawk and the grip is a Hogue.
  20. Experience dictates wisdom and knowledge. Age is just something that happens to everyone.
  21. I'm sure it's not my MOST embarrassing, but this goes to show you what trying to look cool does for you. I was out riding with a buddy one night and a couple girls (hot, hot, hot girls) pulled up next to us. They're talking to us, commenting on the bikes, etc. Light turns green and I decide I'm gonna show them what my pipes sound like, I rev the engine and...pop the clutch and stall the bike. Not only did we have to pull over so my buddy could catch his breath from laughing so hard, but he told everybody that we hung out with that night about it.
  22. That's impressive, it's what we should all strive for though. Under 2 seconds to draw and get at least two rounds on target.
