IWB you can carry a 5,4, or 3 inch 1911 all the same. OWB is a little different, but I conceal a 4 and 5 inch 1911 in a Galco Side Snap Scabbard frequently with just a loose shirt. Disappears great if you do what I call the "Bruce Willis" look. Adjust dirtiness as needed. I love an overshirt for shoulder or OWB carry.

I'm still very lucky to have my Mom and I love her dearly. This thread has kinda made me think about some things because we've been a little to distant lately for her tastes I think. I'm gonna toss in my vote with Desert Rat and say check out a Kimber. Just my opinion, but stay away from the 3 inch 1911s. A Kimber Pro Carry is a great carry gun though. I'm going to buy the clip draw for mine here shortly and with the slender frame, it'll disappear under a loose shirt IWB. I'm 6'4 and pretty thin framed so I understand the concealment problems.

Wow that sucks man. I'm really happy with mine. I need to get it touched up because it's fading a little, but I added a tribal piece around it in March and couldn't imagine getting it covered. It even has a little chip in the top part of the skull where the drawing had a pencil mark on it and the tattoo artist thought I meant to have it like that. He asked me if I wanted him to fill it in and I told him no because that would always be unique to mine. It's silly, but it is a very special tat for me. I got it during a period of my life that was kinda "meh" and, for various reasons, I'll always have a special love for that piece of ink. Broken down by question: How much more does the 9 kick? In that size gun it will be a little more noticeable, but should be manageable. I would weigh it on how easily she controlled the .380. What is the size of the 9 compared to the .380? They come in a couple different sizes. No. They aren't horrible new, but it will not be as easy as one with older springs that has been fired alot. How easy are they to take down and clean? I do not have much experience with the 9mm, but the .380 is top notch and was, at one time, one of the most desired CC guns on the market.
