  1. I think a lot of that is based more on emotion than fact, but to each their own. I've never had a negative interaction while open carrying and I've never had any interaction carrying concealed so it evens out for me. I understand the whole "if a robber sees a gun he may shoot you first" argument, but keep in mind most robbers aren't looking at the customers that closely. They are looking for cops/security and they are trying to get in and out quick. I also don't buy the whole "if enough people complain we'll lose our rights" argument. OC is legal in many states and look how unpopular the restaurant carry bill was here...we still got it didn't we?
  2. Very mature of you to make an accusation and then brush it off. I guess being wrong and having to admit it openly is unfortunate for the ego.
  3. I'm gonna cheat and tell one on my wife and her friend first. We were at Fort Leonard Wood visiting a friend of mine for a few days. My buddy and I were out doing some stuff at his work site on post with the Sergeants and his wife and my wife were running around in my car. Well they pulled into the PX, shopped, got out, and got stuck in my car. They could NOT get it into reverse. So finally after me not answering my phone (I was on a safety boat listening to a DS scream at some AIT guys) they asked a Sgt. coming out of the PX if he could help them. He jumps in my car, pulls up the little piece under the shifter knob that allows my car to go into reverse, backs it out, and showed them how to do it. It took forever to pry the story out of them, but it was worth the effort. Now one on me... *sigh* When I worked at a gun range I was working 2 jobs and not sleeping much so that's my excuse. Well one day I'm in the back breaking down one of our full-auto rentals for cleaning. It's a 9mm conversion M-16. Well...I pull the back pin out and am just struggling to get the thing apart. I'm literally at wit's end with it. Then my buddy walks by and asks what the problem is. I tell him, he looks at it, and pops the forward pin out. The shame I tell you lol the friggin' shame.
  4. That's what I was always taught by my elders. I guess some people really just don't like being disagreed with. I hope you just forgot the smiley face for sarcasm, because if not congratulations on bumping your post count up 1 by making a completely useless statement. I think there's been quite enough childish posts in this thread already.
  5. Maybe I could wear waders...or a TYVEK suit and we could spray paint it camo! lol
  6. I just couldn't do it. I hate ticks. HATe HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE TICKS! I woke up on a camping trip as a kid with a couple attached to a place a young boy does not want to ever find ticks attached and I've had a fear of them ever sense. That scene in Congo where Dylan Walsh comes running out screaming at Ernie Hudson for help to get the leech off? Me as a child.
  7. Wait til you move for the SBR I'd say because of the forms and address stuff. Just be easier. As for the permit I believe you have 6 months to change it over. The process in Mississippi is really simple.
  8. Or basically "I just wanted to start my own thread about it because the other 237 weren't sufficient and didn't have username in them." This horse has been beaten to death all over this forum and I doubt a majority of posters here have changed their opinions in the past 7 months.
  9. So then would you like to answer the question as to who you were referring to? I know it sure as hell wasn't me.
  10. Could it be that in his furor he looked at the wrong profile and has now realized his error? Thus, venturing off to be alone with his angry thoughts.
  11. I thought of this... Ghostbusters 2 in case you don't get it.
  12. I'm the Secretary for Los Cazadores. We hang out with Law Dogs every once in awhile. Here's a shameless plug for the website if you wanna know what we're all about Home - Los Cazadores Motorcycle Club
  13. That's pretty much how I've always been. More or less. I don't think I do the breathing thing to the extent you do, but I do remember being out of breath a few times.
  14. LOL it was! Although I will say this, oddly enough, we have the lowest crime stats of any of the area hospitals.
  15. Well I'm sorry I slept all day now. I'm gonna throw this in though, I've been on this forum since it was pretty much TGO David, myself, and a few others just going "HI!" and I've had issues with a handful of members and even gotten into a spat or two with moderators, but it was always cleared up one way or the other. Some people just don't like being disagreed with though because they are older so they think the appropriate response is to whip their dick out on the dinner table for a measuring contest. Some of the people that were attacked on here today (Daniel, Bklem18) I have talked to on here for years and I think they have shown a ton more maturity than the people that attacked them today. Just the opinion of a 25 year old "punk".
  16. It really depends on the department I think, but obviously you get a day off and you can enjoy your down time so it's not like you can ALWAYS be on duty. I think 39-17-1350 is pretty clear about the restriction.
  17. Wow. I'd be shooting somewhere else lol
  18. Awesome! This is mine right after I got the tribal added to it.
  19. Glad you're ok man! Don't judge North by some of our average clients lol we have a great staff of nurses and doctors and I'll make sure you stay safe while you're there!
