  1. There ya go with the assumptions again. You don't know me dude so why don't you quit? I'm not yelling or cursing at you. I'm not calling you childish names or threatening you. I'd say that's fairly level headed. Maybe you're just new to forums. As far as length of time here equating to expertise I think far from it. Post count and time on the forum could mean less to me, quality of posts though...different story. My experience comes from training and working in and around the firearms training industry in the past and real life experiences. If you don't like being disagreed with I'm sorry, but personal attacks, no matter how you attempt to sugar coat them, aren't a good way to win a debate.
  2. Amen to that. I think there are certain things that there can be a middle ground on, but there is a difference in saying "I'm not for or against this" and pandering to each side. Either stand for something, against something, admit you have no opinion, or admit you don't have a clue what you're talking about!
  3. Well let me put it simply. You got pissy because you were disagreed with in a thread, then YOU made a statement about someone changing their age to appear older. Here is why I called you out and had an issue with it. Only TGO David can change your birthday once you've signed up for the forum. You were also the one who brought a grudge in here with your useful turnip comment. So spin it all you want, but in less than a month and a 100 posts I think you've shown exactly how little you bring to the table as a forum member. So that's pretty much all I've got to say about it. People like you come and go here all the time. Bad attitudes and tough talk from behind a computer and too dumb to realize they contradict themselves in the same paragraph by telling someone to be decent then calling them "junior" and telling them to "go kick rocks". You're obviously a very mature and stable member of society. Feel free to have the last word if you wish, but I'm done making you look like the fool you obviously are.
  4. or does TGO seem to be attracting alot of argumentative and downright unpleasant posters lately? I know it's the internet and you're always going to have your wannabes and know-it-alls, but it seems like the past 2 months we've had more than usual. Between the constant religious debates, arguments, and just general asshatery TGO is really starting to suffer IMO. With some of the things that have been posted and advocated lately I'd hate to think that some of these people represent the firearms community.
  5. I use mine to prop open doors sometimes lol
  6. Insecure? Not so much. Now, asking someone a question when they've made an accusation and them responding with smart ass replies instead of answering the question...I'd call that immature.
  7. Most of us are people with experience?
  8. Well I'd ask if you were referring to me, but Lord knows you can't ever answer THAT question. Thnaks for adding something useful to the debate though!
  9. To run with this for a second, I agree. Walking around with a gun in your hand as a method of carry is stupid. The entire point of my posts, and those who passed the 6th grade seemed to have gotten this including you, is that simply pulling your weapon from your holster is not brandishing as some would like to believe. The law does not support it, case law does not support it. The only thing that our new member Guy has proved by posting those cases, one which doesn't even apply to TN law, is that all of them had some sort of intent when they drew and POINTED their firearm.
  10. Well there are 3 things that are very obvious from your posts. 1. You like to make assumptions. 2. You have very poor reading comprehension 3. You don't know what you're talking about. I love how you "assumed" from my "demeanor" here that I walk around with a gun in my hand telling little old ladies to "F off". I rarely even OC. Thank you though for completely missing the point of the original topic and trying to argue with a bunch of people who are obviously much more knowledgeable about the laws of the state of TN than you.
  11. That'd be awesome man! It'd be just Jon and I as far as I know. And it's Chuck lol the only reason everyone called me Charles was because there was another Chuck already there, but I'll answer to dumbass if I can get a deer this year!
  12. No, the second question was a hypothetical. The first was either you trying to be a smart ass or showing that you have poor reading comprehension skills. Molon didn't advocate carrying one way or the other, he simply stated a fact of law. You chose to run with it so don't try to back pedal now. I'm quoting for reference below.
  13. Well it wouldn't be TGO without asinine statements not supported by facts.
  14. Use some common sense yourself and don't take everything at face value. What you're saying is not even what he said. TN law does NOT state ANYWHERE how a handgun can be carried if you have a permit.
  15. Creeky next time you guys are down give us Memphis folk a shout if you have a spare two hours. We can try to arrange a lunch type thing.
  16. I'll just quote TCA at them. "STOP CRIMINAL! You are in violation of TN Code Annotated 39-13-101 and are committing Assault! I am in fear for my life! Cease and desist now!"
  17. Oh 1 or 2 I reckon. Of course they may have just been "mis-directed individuals in need of compassion and understanding".
  18. Do you know ANYTHING about TN law?! Holding a gun is not brandishing. There is NO ZERO ZILCH law that states a gun has to be carried in a holster or in any other manner. Brandishing, which is a pretty vague term in TN, is the same as threatening someone which is Assault. There has to be intent behind it.
  19. I can't even begin to have the time to pick apart all the things wrong with that mess of a post so we'll just agree to disagree, because for what it's worth, I've lived through it and never saw a grand jury. Also, that "ambiguous citizen's arrest" law happens to be something I am well versed in because it allows me to complete the duties of my job in their entirety every night as a campus security officer. Wow, just wow.
  20. "Dirka dirka dirka Oak Ridge dirka dirka" BOOM!
  21. Well he's been here since 2008 so either A. He's just found Christianity and is REALLY excited about it. B. He's very convinced we're all f'ed and is trying to follow his belief to help save the world C. He's off his meds and has nothing better to do or finally, D. He's a cave troll.
