  1. "No questions."   "JUST ONE QUESTION!"   I hate the media.
  2. That's pretty much always been my thought. It would take an organized effort and being pushed ALOT to shake most people out of apathy. No one is just going to start shooting. It would take some form of leadership to say "Enough! Let's go get 'em!" Uprisings and Revolutions always start with an event that truly rallies everyone together. We haven't had that...yet.
  3. My bro-in-law and I were planning on building new ARs over the next month, but now we can't even find parts kits. We bought our receivers, 2 mags, and I bought 1 box of .40, but that's it. I'm not a panic buyer, I'd just like to be able to finish my friggin AR. :(
  4. I thought PGR was going to deal with this, but after talking to a few friends, it seems the Hells Angels even showed up. Alot of times they will still show up because they know we (PGR) won't physically touch them. Hells Angels on the other hand... :death:
  5. After the mess they pulled in 2008, and now this, I'll be surprised if they are still open by summer.
  6.   Haven't posted in awhile, but all of this has made me check back in. Mike, you're right. I've seen alot of former staunch 2A people suddenly start saying "Well, maybe an AWB is ok if it will prevent this sort of thing." People on both sides are being led by the media like lambs to the slaughter.
  7. I think you've got a good point, Wyatt. I think it will take awhile to totally kill the theaters, but with the decline of polite society more people are willing to bypass the theater. Why deal with rude people and high prices when you can sit on the couch in your pajamas and watch a movie on your flat panel with surround sound? As for Netflix, I dropped streaming and just get the 1 DVD at a time to catch up on tv series I've missed in my spare time. The price hike pissed me off, but I don't use streaming enough to where it really damaged me much.
  8. This. I work in hospital security and we get people in from time to time in various situations and we just secure it for them same as we would cash or other valuables.
  9. Sounds like the one here in Memphis. Family calls MPD because they can't control him and he's got a butcher knife. After spray and bean bags failed he cut an officer's jacket, lunged again and then gained some lead weight. Family bitched. No one cared. Right people went home.
  10. Jr is spoiled and cocky and Sr is insane. Jr is really the one that made OCC famous though and I think that's always bothered Sr. Vinnie was always the one I liked.
  11. Be a hell of a stretch. Could happen I guess, but I've never heard of it happening. They would have to prove your actions were intentionally reckless or negligent. But yea, with the right jury it could happen. Anything is possible nowadays.
  12. I could see a civil suit, but how would you end up in jail?
  13. Look at the Maxpedition Liger belt. And get a better holster. A nylon holster is going to flop around alot even with a good belt. Look at kydex or leather. IMO with Fobus holsters around 25 bucks there's no reason to carry in a nylon holster.
  14. No problem. When it first came out I was working at a training school and we were all trying to figure out the deal with it. The understanding was that it was basically an incentive for lawyers not to take bogus cases.
  15. That's actually partially wrong. You CAN still be sued. The law you're referencing only states that you will not be held liable in a civil suit if you are not held criminally liable. And that whoever brings the suit will award you attorney fees etc. They can still file the suit though.
  16. I'm glad they are out. I've read quite a bit on it and talked to various people who followed it closely and the general consensus was they were railroaded. Bad police work and community pressure to put someone in jail is what got them convicted. One of the victim's father doesn't even believe they did it. DNA evidence points to one of the victim's Step-Father.
  17. I don't worry about being sued. Can't take what I don't have. Guess most of you folks have money. Not to mention I think alot of you really overestimate the actual amount of lawsuits vs. shootings.
  18. Lol sorry. On the phone and read it quick and replied. My humor meter goes out about 2200.
  19. Lol very welcome. Looking back it's hilarious, at the time I felt like Frodo when he gets caught in the huge spider's web in Lord of the Rings.
  20. Agreed. I don't carry to be a hero anymore than I do the job I do to be one. It's just a personality trait that, for better or worse, just drives me to do something when I can. All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing.
  21. The most terrified I have ever been in my life was leaving for work one morning. I lived in an apartment with a recessed door and an orb weaver had built a web, overnight, top to bottom in the doorway. I walked out at 5am, half asleep, and walked right into it. Ex-wife claimed she had never heard a more bloodcurdling scream in her life.
