  1. In the words of Yoda. Worth it it is. Thank you your shoulders will. Secure your firearm shall be. Hmmm yes yes.
  2. DR really doesnt like being contradicted. I'm kinda surprised he's still here after everything.
  3. Yea I almost didn't use the comparison because of that, but still it goes back to intent and circumstance. If I'm walking to my neighbors house to return his screwdriver I doubt you'd be locking me up. Now if I'm wondering around a parking lot with a screwdriver and wearing gloves at 3am... I think I actually know a guy who arrested someone for that.
  4. I carry my Kimber Pro Carry in a Galco Miami Classic from time to time. I'm not a huge fan of shoulder rigs mainly because of the wide draw stroke and how they can move around. The movement can be remedied by the tie down straps, but that cross draw stroke is still something I don't like if you're in close quarters. All that being said it conceals well and is great on car/motorcycle trips. It also allows me to dress a bit more comfortably and keeps the weight off my belt. I'm wearing mine this weekend on my bike trip. I'm just not a huge fan of them for EDC.
  5. No... it couldn't. It's not a weapon unless you use it that way. Same as a screwdriver. There is nothing in TN state law that says a big honking flashlight is illegal to carry.
  6. Only if you used it as such. I definitely could see an aggravated assault charge if you whacked someone with it without cause.
  7. Was just curious to see if any members here had ever been to the Hot Springs rally? I'm heading up there for the weekend tomorrow with my MC and meeting our AR chapter there. Looks like it'll be a fun weekend! I've always liked vacationing in Hot Springs for a few days, but never knew they had a rally there until this year. This is my first so I'm pretty excited.
  8. I think he meant it as "Yea I mentioned the other guys, but I like him too."
  9. Walther P-22. Bought it for a plinker that would still kinda feel like a carry gun and I could never get it to cycle a full mag. Ended up selling it. Still need to buy another .22 pistol.
  10. FLAWLESS VICTORY! WATERMELON...WINS! Thanks to SUNTZU I had seen the gif earlier, but the video makes it that much better lol
  11. Juice is kind of that gateway character though. He's the techie so when they need info they always go to Juice. I do agree about Jax to a degree, I get why he's supposed to be mopey (inner turmoil) but he needs to pep it up a bit. Hopefully they'll do something with that now that he and Piney had a talk.
  12. Lol does that man know how to rant or what?!
  13. Both of these are true statements to some degree. It really wasn't intended to be a "shot" at anyone, which is why I didn't post names. Granted it was brought on by the multiple "I hate moderators", "PRAISE JESUS THE WORLD IS GONNA END", and random argumentative threads, but it wasn't intended to stir up further argument or start a newbie bashing post.
  14. I think that sums things up pretty nicely and I'll freely admit I think I'm the one who said you didn't know what you were talking about. While we disagree on the topic of that thread, I'm quite sure I may agree with you on others down the road. My intention with this thread really was not to just bitch about the "newbies" and wax nostalgic. I truly wanted to see if I was alone in my thought process and it turns out I'm not. I'll even go out on a limb and say that your post and Desert Rat's posts in this thread go to show the true character of the person. You decided to come in with a witty comment and explain your thoughts. It was well received on my part and now maybe we can have a discourse and chalk it up to a bad experience, move on, and learn stuff from each other. Because that's what I believe this forum is best at. DR on the other hand, well...^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
  15. I like Kurt. He's a flaming liberal lol but he just about always responds to me when I send him a message on Twitter. He's a great writer and he's really good to his fans. He even sent a copy of Jax's forearm tattoo on the transfer sheet to a fan who wanted it.
  16. "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt." - Mark Twain.
  17. Hey let it. Just be easier for the mods to know who we are all talking about.
  18. That's who alot of people thought it was at first.
  19. For anyone who is like me and likes the SOA music here is the song from the end of Tuesday's episode.
  20. I'm not afraid to piss them off and I agree we shouldn't bow to them. I just don't see the point in burning their religious book. It doesn't help anything and it only takes us down to their level unnecessarily.
