  1. I'll echo BKelm and OS...get a new argument because that one is just as wrong as the people you're talking to.
  2. Maybe in your county, but if anyone is smart enough to appeal a conviction there I'm 99.9% sure they'd win. As soon as it went to the state it'd be overturned unless you could prove they threatened, and had the intent to threaten, someone with the firearm.
  3. Remind me not to move to Sumner county. I like places where people can understand the laws.
  4. I don't watch the show, but my wife is into it and she had me watch dude and a few other clips. I have nothing against him and I'm a big fan of theater and opera, but I think these guys are the most innovative and will have a better long term show in Vegas. I think they would appeal to the Blue Man Group crowds.
  5. +10 You won't be getting a reply from EB though.
  6. It's not thinking outside of the box. It's knowing and dealing with the law on a daily basis as part of my job. Its just not in the law. Im sure you believe you're right and that's fine. Well just agree to disagree on it.
  7. I always heard that Texas is pretty picky in certain areas and to not even print. So just be on the cautious side bro.
  8. I worked at a gun shop/range for 3 years. I'd say probably 60-70% of people that came in with one had issues. Even Hi-points will work, but overall I wouldn't own one. That was my point.
  9. I hate them because I've seen them break more times than Gerald Ford falls.
  10. That's not a freak accident. That's bad safety skills. His buddy is walking behind him, that close, with an arrow at the ready? That's just stupid.
  11. No no no lol If ggun can show me one case where someone has been arrested simply for carrying a mag lite as a weapon and/or the law that says carrying a large flashlight is illegal I'll buy Fallguy a steak dinner next time we meet up. If he can't I'll just be happy knowing I'm right and I may even still buy FG a beer or two!
  12. Yea there were probably 1000 or so I guess? Give or take.
  13. Lol if you only knew how much I was NOT the one in the pink tutu this weekend.
  14. I don't think Opie is just letting it go. Things are going to come full circle. Jax, Opie, and Piney want to change the club. That's not going to come easy...or for as long as they can crank out interesting seasons with other bad guys to deal with.
  15. You just completely contradicted yourself. I agree, mostly, with razorback. If you INTEND to use it as a weapon and do so then yes you could be charged, but simply being in possession of a mag lite would not be a violation of the law and I seriously encourage you to prove me wrong. Show me 1 just one case in Tennessee where someone has been charged with carrying a FLASHLIGHT as a weapon that did not use it as such. Show me the law, quote me TCA and show it to me. I bet Fallguy a steak dinner you can't.
  16. Oh man. Not even close it wasn't HORRIFIC, but it was alot of BS. I'll tell ya about it soon when I'm not so grumpy lol
  17. I picked other because while I do happily engage in all things listed, this is my biggest stress reliever... [/img] My wife took the pic so don't worry I'm not being nuts out there lol
  18. And therein lies the "intent" part. You're displaying your firearm to make a threat. However if you were carrying open it would not be considered brandishing. We actually finally agree on one thing though, talking to a lawyer is a good idea. I've worked around firearms trainers for several years and have consulted lawyers frequently on a variety of topics. It's why I hold the opinions I do. Whether internet folk agree with them or not.
  19. Agreed and I didn't think you were arguing with us The problem with topics like this is there are always grey areas in the law. Some people commit flat out assault and never get charged. Not advocating breaking the law obviously, but just because person A's experience is that it does or does not always happen doesn't mean that's what the intention of the law is.
  20. Lol I always end up looking like Bruce Willis in Die Hard when I wear mine.
