  1. The first Rob Zombie remake was good. It just felt a little too much like crime scene footage in places for me. The second was terrible. The original 2, in my opinion, are the definitive slasher horror flicks.
  2. Oh "picks" lol I thought you meant... We started with Halloween II (Rob Zombie version) which was awful. This weekend we did Sleepy Hollow and Nightmare before Christmas since it's kind of a dual holiday one. We'll keep going through different ones between what we have and what they play on AMC until Halloween then we'll do Halloween (78 version), Garfield Halloween, and It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. Gotta love the classics!
  3. I'm just waiting for a "God hates Pit Bulls" thread now.
  4. Good job to the MPD officers and Detectives and the Prosecutors who put this POS away today. Also, kudos to the jury for not buying into the defense team's BS story. Jessie Dotson Trial Blog- Guilty On All Charges - WREG
  5. Ahh Guinness. Every sip just proves that God loves the Irish
  6. Not to hijack, but we locked a guy up one day for a few things and when he gave us his name and DOB (no ID on him) he came up as having warrants. We call for a transport from Shelby County Fugitive Squad, they pull everything up to verify and sure enough looks like him. Then, and only then after all this, did the guy admit he was using his friend's name and wasn't really him. It took another hour just to verify who this dude actually was and he went to jail anyway. The crazy thing is...if he had given us his name he would've probably got let go with a Misdemeanor citation when MPD came to transport.
  7. One of my Drill Sergeants went through SERE (I'm assuming Army) and he told us some stories. Sounded like some crazy, hard, but really useful stuff. That's just one of the schools I wished I could have gone too.
  8. Baton you'll need, but there's no cuff certification. I know places offer a "tactics" type class on how to use them, but there isn't a certification to have/carry/use them. There are different ways to do it, but the basic practice is simple. Try and always keep your keyholes up, never attempt to cuff someone until they are under control, and always double lock them.
  9. The part that follows that is one of my favorites too. "You get a bad personal phone call or something? Here, don't worry have a french fry." lmao
  10. +1 On both counts. I got hit with Freeze +p and it do suck! Yea I think it's funny that I field more calls working as a hopsital SO in Memphis in 6 months than most small town PDs do in a year, but yet I'm a "rent-a-cop" lol
  11. Hi my name is Chuck and I'm a hiker and gun owner.
  12. My wife grew up in Sikeston and we still go back from time to time. Lambert's is pretty good. Huge portions and the prices are good.
  13. Here's a good one from the movie The Town. "I need your help. I can't tell you what it is and you can't ask me about it later, but we're gonna hurt some people." "Whose car we takin?"
  14. Dr. Sam Loomis: I met him, fifteen years ago. I was told there was nothing left. No reason, no conscience, no understanding; even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong. I met this six-year-old child, with this blank, pale, emotionless face and, the blackest eyes... the *devil's* eyes. I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up because I realized what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply... *evil*.
  15. You will be lol it's basically videos and the HCP class again. Nothing much to it really.
  16. Yea I did know that. As I said from my first post, Mr. Cranick is not without fault in this.
  17. Like one poster mentioned that he thought they should have put it out just because of the Clean Air Act. Like people have said, TN is under a burn warning/ban so if there's all these trees and brush around how was it even responsible of them to just let it continue burning? I assume they controlled the perimeter, but I guess I just don't get how they couldn't have just said "Yea it was out of control. We HAD to put it out...to ya know, stop a forest fire."
  18. Ours isn't voluntary though or cheap. I get it tacked onto my electric bill and it runs about 28 bucks a month. That rant from the Chief that Crimson posted is wrong on the trash account like you said, I pay 62 bucks a Quarter for county trash pickup. In reading everything this seems more like backwards ass county and city policies that led to this. And for all you naysayers even the Chief in Union City said he would have put it out once they came to the scene for the neighbor.
  19. Not sure yet. Probably bumming around the house with a beer and relaxing. Pretty much wiped out til next payday lol.
  20. *Charlie Brown voice* AAAARRRGGHH!!!
