  1. Oh I'm all for eliminating the criminal penalty portion. That's a good point though as to why it's an issue to us here. Seems like we need to be after the powers that be then, instead of writing to restaurant owners.
  2. +1 I always watch my language in public especially and I certainly would have never and never did conduct myself in a poor manner in uniform.
  3. I guess I'm gonna play Devil's advocate for this one. While I do think that we should be able to carry wherever we want, I don't believe our right to carry trumps individual property rights. I think there should be a limit, I.E gun in car on parking lot, but no one is forcing you to eat at a Buffalo Wild Wings, you don't HAVE to be there. I'm all about trying to change people's minds, but honestly if you tell them the truth and they don't want to hear it and dismiss you, that's pretty much all you can do. Anything past that is basically being mad you didn't get your way. Those of us who carry like to think we are the most important group because we have good intentions, but we can't love the 2nd Amendment so much we forget the rights of others, whether it makes us happy or not. After all don't we always say the 2nd protects the others? I think we should always try to change minds, but talking about slapping stickers on doors and stupid crap like that is petty and juvenile. There are a million places to eat, but if you love BWW that much then go eat there and carry a TASER or something. Me personally, I don't dine in posted places. The only exception is if I'm out drinking, which is rare, and then I'm not carrying. Just my opinion on it.
  4. Well officers and security have to be tased to carry them. I guess if you're just curious to see what it feels like knock yourself out. It sucks but I'd rather be tased than pepper sprayed personally. I HATE being sprayed!
  5. Lmao I'm going to shoot with KB4NS this morning and I was looking at just what I'm taking to the range and thought "Hmm. Zombie survival starter kit!"
  6. Not necessarily. In a natural disaster, sure, but in a fast spreading zombie epidemic? I'd be willing to bet there were a few things left over somewhere.
  7. I should be getting my XBOX back in about 2 weeks, but my wife wants me to wait until Christmas because she "might buy it for me and she needs ideas". So when I get it I'll add you. Mine is CharlieLima84
  8. I have to agree with that mentality. At least to a degree. While it might be harder in a small town to survive for a LOOOOONG time, if there are only a few of you, you might make it better than living in the woods in Atlanta. Honestly I'd say the guy and his son from the first episode are in the best position for long term survival. They've got a whole town full of stores and houses to scavenge and being that there is probably at least a wal-mart and a gun store in that town a good 10/22 and a scope would probably make for several days of zombie plinking bonding time with the boy and put a sizable dent in the z population.
  9. About time. Now if we can get rid of Romo I think we could get back in the game next year.
  10. Umm I grew up on movies "before my time" so I can appreciate quite a bit thanks. I get that you don't like the comedy zombie movies, but I think comparing them to actual "horror" zombie films is just an unfair comparison. To each their own.
  11. and you don't have to send it back to be repaired, like I did mine today lol I like my Xbox 360 and I think the game choice is wider for it, but I do believe PS3 is the superior console.
  12. Yea I'm fairly certain it's an ongoing thing. She did seem to show a SMALL bit of remorse when she took the locket and the ring off, but not much. I know how it plays out in the comics thanks to some spoiling asshat on IMDB, but I'm waiting to see what they do on the show. Murphy's law? lol
  13. Tell him that every respectable person in the gun community will look at him like he's a fool and if that's not enough just casually comment about how you "hope he's never charged with impersonating a police officer."
  14. A friend of mine that has read them said so far they are pulling most of it straight off the pages.
  15. Blasphemy! Zombieland and Shaun of the Dead are just a different part of the genre.
  16. Just watched it and I agree I was a little bleh on this episode. I understand that you have progression through a series and after the initial Intro episode you're going to have character build up so I'm giving it a bit to really get going. As far as Shane and Rick's wife hooking up I don't really look at it like a soap opera drama, it's just one of those things that add to the realism. Whether her and Shane were together before or whether they are just together now because they think Rick is dead will be what adds to it. I know alot of people are like "eww sex and character development. JUST KILL ZOMBIES!", but this show was never just about that and from what I've been told, neither were the graphic novels. It's more about humans coping afterward than just "YEE-HAA ZOMBIES GONNA DIE!" I'm fairly certain that anyone who didn't enjoy The Road is not going to like this either in the long run. BTW David the Zombie sub-forum is way cool!
  17. Never said it was a good position to be in. Just said that I'd do something besides stand there and hope for the bad guy to show me mercy. I'm sorry I come across as cocky, I'm really not. I am confident though. That confidence comes from experience in both my training and in real world scenarios. As David more or less said earlier, I don't have anything against you at all, just debating on your mindset towards carrying a firearm for self defense based on your posts in this thread. FWIW we would have had pretty close to the same conversation in public as here. I imagine it wouldn't have ruffled any feathers though since you can actually hear the tone of someones voice as opposed to here, where you just assume the worst intention.
  18. Way to go Will. Why debate with people who actually have experience when you can just dismiss them right? Amazed you made it to twice my age with that attitude.
  19. Mike pretty much beat me to it, but I'll add a few things. I do not have much faith in Taurus semi-autos but I think their revolvers are OK. I don't want to carry anything called "The Judge". Shoot one at the range? Sure! I don't like the 2 shot derringer because it's just insane to think about carrying it. It's got an 11 inch barrel!!!! Just my opinion but I think you jumped off at the mouth and took something personal when there was no cause to.
  20. Did you read my post? If not read DaveTN's. He summed it up quite nicely.
  21. You don't read/watch the news or know anyone in the military I take it lol I thought with the supreme court case going on everyone knew about these sick ****s.
  22. Very cool! I really hope I can get my first deer this year. I had terrible luck as a kid when I went.
  23. Wow way to insult him for having an opinion. He's not downing the round he's downing the gun as a choice for defensive carry. I agree with him. It's a cool gun to pop off at the range, but it lacks everything a good carry gun should be. Maybe you should reel it in a bit man.
