  1. Guys you know it's from Cracked right? It's in jest. Some of the stuff is true more or less, but I just posted it in humor. I didnt mean to crush anyone's zombie apocalypse hopes and dreams.
  2. 7 Scientific Reasons a Zombie Outbreak Would Fail (Quickly) | Cracked.com Pretty funny, took a little umbrage at the last one about gun owning rednecks, but overall it makes some valid points.
  3. It's definitely the latter. I can appreciate raunchy humor to a degree, but if all you can do is say F*** and make sex jokes it's not that funny to me. I'll take Airplane, Naked Gun, Mel Brooks movies, etc any day.
  4. Hey if it makes you feel any better I work security AND my boss brings in donuts at least once a week in the mornings. I can't catch a break lol I'm a walking stereotype brother!
  5. LMAO man that's why I'm sad to see all these guys starting to go, true comedy. I've never laughed harder through movies than I did Naked Gun and Airplane!
  6. Leslie Nielsen of 'Naked Gun' fame dies at age 84 - Yahoo! News Really sad to see him go. Always thought he was hilarious.
  7. Whoops. I thought I had, guess you're right. Well since you asked, I'm all for hiding the serial numbers. I've always done it. My reason behind it is pretty much what everyone else has already stated, because I can. Can't really add anything new there. Guess we can go another 4 pages of thread about it. I find it hilarious you're still butthurt over that thread. Are you mad that I posted it or mad that practically everyone that posted in it agreed with me? I've been around this forum since David invited me over from The Firing Line when he made TGO. In all that time I had never seen an influx of posters just looking to stir up trouble like I had around the time I posted that. It also might be worth noting that the only person left here out of the group that was being referred to is you. I wonder how long that will last?
  8. I love that I managed to get quotation marks and and an exclamation point. *tear* Guy you're one of those people who actually steams about this stuff offline aren't ya? Sorry we called you out on your BS. It's ok I'm sure most of us will still play with you.
  9. Agreed. It's probably the only book I have read that affected me so strongly.
  10. I guess we'll find out, but my money is on yes. He kinda seems like Marty McFly when someone called him chicken.
  11. The last sentence in the book says something about the forest and animals or something like that. I can't remember the exact passage and I don't have the book anymore (lent to a friend), but I remember it being something to lead you to believe that all was not lost. I always looked at the book for what it was, it's just a tale of a father and a son. You really don't know anything else. I mean I imagine most of the world is shot to hell, but it really never says. Maybe our side of the globe more or less bought the farm, but things might not be as bad over on the other side. It kinda goes into the whole debate over what could really devastate the entire Earth, etc which I'm not about to open up to turn it into the inevitable religion V. science argument.
  12. The cause of the catastrophe is never mentioned in the book or film, but Cormac McCarthy said in an interview that it was what he thought the world would be like if a comet struck Earth. He said he wanted to leave it ambiguous because the book wasn't about the catastrophe, but about the people left to survive it. The ending I think is left to kind of keep you wondering about what comes next. I think it's supposed to leave you with some hope for the future. It's always been my opinion that alot of people don't like the novel or film because it doesn't fit into their idea of a "cool apocalypse" where it's just kinda like the wild west as opposed to a day to day fight just to survive. I think if there ever was a MAJOR catastrophe The Road scenario is much more realistic to what it would be like. Is it a cheery film? No. Is it a good film? I say yes.
  13. That attitude is pretty much why most business owners don't want us in their establishments. Self importance is not a good character trait.
  14. Not at all. Just simply saying that aside from the rare argument, most of us here don't feel the need to constantly badger someone about their personal reasons for doing something. If you feel I came looking for a fight, that's your opinion, I'm just sticking up for the rest of the thread to do as they please. You know, if everyone's opinion bothers you, feel free to move along.
  15. Yea that's a good price for those. A case of full 12 meals usually goes for 100 or so. I think you'll need to buy heaters though unless you just boil them. You can get heaters at theepicenter.com though for like 9 bucks for 12. They will last for several years if you store them right. If you keep them in the house at around 70 they will last upwards of 10 years. If you leave them in the car you'll get about a year.
  16. Yea what can I say, I like to dance. You're hounding people to show you a reason to justify their actions and most have told you it's because they want to. No one here owes you an explanation. You just don't want to accept that so now you're badgering people you disagree with to stroke your ego. I'm aware it's not my forum, but most of us who have been here awhile don't mind telling people when they are acting stupid. Especially people who have been more or less antagnostic since they started posting here. Up to you though, if it's that necessary for you to be right, by all means continue.
  17. No problem! It took me 30 minutes to order the stuff lol so be patient.
  18. Man this has turned into a mission for you hasn't it? "They must all see I'm smarter! Muahahahahaha" Nobody cares you don't agree with it. You seem to be the only one hell bent on telling everyone they are wrong.
  19. Thanks. Pretty much what I thought too BW. 400 dollar washer for 250 is a pretty good deal. Didn't even have to leave the house for it lol
  20. That'd be my vote. I just don't really know any small charities. I'm doing Toys for Tots this year and I always donate to St. Jude and LeBonheur, but other than that...
