  1. It's not the same thing. If you come onto my land, you are trespassing and will be arrested for trespassing. If you walk into a pizza joint and order food, you are not trespassing. If you are asked to leave and refuse, you will be arrested for trespassing. Removing the legal penalty for carrying past a sign puts thing in the above order, instead of making it an automatic crime for simply walking past a sign.
  2. This is why gun owners tend to be single issue voters. Property rights are property rights. It is my firm belief that your right to carry a gun stops at my right to determine who I want in my business. I believe that is how the founding fathers intended it as well. It says "keep and bear", it doesn't say anything about going wherever you please on private property.
  3. THIS. In such a big way. You can buy kits from Police Gear - Police Equipment - Police Uniforms - Public Safety Equipment: Galls that have everything a fully trained EMT would need, if you don't know how to use it you'll probably kill someone. Buy a pre-made kit with what you know how to use and take a CPR class and read up on basic first aid. The biggest thing most people are going to deal with is keeping yourself or someone alive until you can get them to the hospital. That is basically going to go into thing like bandages, gauze, splints, etc.
  4. Exactly. My thinking has always been if I go to a restaurant with family or co-workers, get to the door, and see a gunbuster sign I don't want to have to choose between leaving my gun in the car or breaking the law. I'd prefer to conceal, eat, then never patronize the business again. I don't think the signs should have legal weight, just operate under Criminal Trespass and maybe stick something else on them if they refuse to leave while carrying a firearm and act like an ass lol
  5. LMAO *facing the door* "This movies SUCKS!" I do prefer to sit in the very back at the theater though.
  6. Yea. I want one. 600-700 seems kinda high though.
  7. Need to read the other parts. The ones about property rights. Carrying in a private establishment has nothing to do with what the state wants, it's what the business owner wants. I agree about removing the criminal penalty, however.
  8. I'm probably overly picky, but I have a long list of things I do/don't do. Face the door, sit on the outside, half car space at stop lights with clear exit unless completely impossible, won't use a drive up ATM where I can be boxed in, etc.
  9. Wooooooo hooooooo!!!! One of my best friends is from Iowa and has wanted us to travel home with her for awhile. Now I can carry!
  10. I have specific instructions about what goes with me and what goes to whom. It will change over the years, but I want a bottle of Jameson and a good cigar for sure!
  11. Gonna spend it with one of my best friends at his house. Him and his wife are moving to Alabama in a couple weeks so I won't see them again for awhile.
  12. Man...where did you find this woman??!! That's awesome!
  13. Not sure it's specifically done by Catholics, but it is common for people to do it.
  14. Call TBI then because I bet there are a few thousand permits that need to revoked.
  15. This is where I fell for a long time. Then, I just realized the permit class doesn't teach much of anything and after I saw people taking 2 and 3 levels of advanced training who could still barely hit a target, I just said screw it. I'm fine either way. The biggest thing to me is I think if you have a permit, you should be allowed to carry anywhere.
  16. LMFAO I don't know what's better this post or WWM's response lmao
  17. I agree. The original is my favorite John Wayne movie, but I love the remake. To me it's a different movie with similar scenes. I also don't agree John Wayne is Rooster. I think Rooster was John Wayne in the original. Someone said in the other thread that John Wayne always played John Wayne and that's very true. It was just what people wanted to see.
  18. Thanks! I quit once before when I was 22 and should have never started back, but I did. This time though I just kicked it cold turkey. Got tired of not being able to run a half mile without feeling like I was going to die.
  19. LMAO "Body preserved by Oatmeal Pie"
  20. Well I already quit smoking 3 weeks ago and I'm not big on resolutions but, I want to get my gym regimen back on track. I've been kinda lazy lately.
  21. Lol the only reason I thought about it...I'm eating a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit right now. Self-embalming FTW!
  22. Try this on for size lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-ljW5YEdao&feature=related
